In the Bible, God split the languages after destroying the Tower of Babyl so that we could never understand exactly what every other human being was saying ever again. I remember reading a pretty long write up on I think the AltHistory forums about how Jerusalem and a lot of those biblical cities around there were actually in France. The details are very hazy but I recall thinking it had a lot of interesting data points and evidence to back it up. I'll have to try and find it.
Just a random thought that might or might not be related. Ancient's used to name the son after the father, for example, "Alexander son of Phillip" so I think the cities might also have been named after the country. Let's say, there was Alexandria from Egypt and Alexandria from Macedonia.

Why is it interesting to me? Because it tells me that there really *aren't* a lot of people who are upset with those sorts of references. The details are very hazy but I recall thinking it had a lot of interesting data points and evidence to back it up. I'll have to try and find it.

Just a random thought that might or might not be related. Ancient's used to name the son after the father, for example, "Alexander son of Phillip" so I think the cities might also have been named after the country. Let's say, there was Alexandria from Egypt and Alexandria from Macedonia.

I've got 3 of Fomenko's chronologies.....Yep, a lot to get through and a bit of a brain f##k. But, he has done his homework and raises some compelling points that make a lot of sense. I agree with some but not all as I've only read about a third or more. But more evidence or theories may pop up in later chronicles that may change my mind on a few things! They're the sort of books you need to be in the right frame of mind to get in a flow. Not to be read if tired or stressed as the information presented doesn't stick too well.

As far as Londres (London), it is still spelled that way in French. Of course the pronunciation is (was?) not Lon-drez as you indicate, but if you go to your google page and get the audio translation of how it is pronounced you will be able to hear it in the proper French. Once you get your internet back of course!

Nimrod was a giant, just not as tall as the Nephilim before the flood were. After the flood, the giants were reduced to about 13 ft., give or take a foot or two. Eventually, they became even shorter. The change in Earth's atmosphere had much to do with these height alterations.

In the Septuagint, verse 4 of 1 Samuel 17 reads, "καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἀνὴρ δυνατὸς ἐκ τῆς παρατάξεως τῶν ἀλλοφύλων Γολιαθ ὄνομα αὐτῷ ἐκ Γεθ ὕψος αὐτοῦ τεσσάρων πήχεων καὶ σπιθαμῆς". This translates to, "And a strong man came out from the ranks of the foreigners, Goliath by name, from Gath, and his height was four cubits and a span".
The passage in 1 Samuel 17:4 (Masoretic/ Vulgate/Syriac) states that the height of Goliath was "6 cubits and a span" but the Septuagint/DSS mention his height as "4 cubits and a span".
Also, you shouldn't be so quick to point a loaded gun, you kill innocent people that way.
