I think the reason Daigo and Justin like to whiff punish with sweep is because of how dominant they both are in the neutral game. They both really benefit from slowing the pace of the match down.
5:31 Daigo was literally the first one I saw doing the back punch-heavy donkey kick-light dp combo, a few days after sf6 came out
Daigo is the only Ryu I dont mind watching over and over again. And Ill never get bored of it. Cant wait to see the major buffs for Ryu and the other characters in the future.
Alex Valle's Ryu is a breath of fresh air too.

Ryu wasn't bad at all. He was simple and had a lot of damage output he just didn't have gimmicks like ken or Jp. But the man is back!

The F fierce is actually his solar plexus which was one of Ryu’s buff’s you skipped in your balance patch video. Thats why Diago is suddenly using it like that since it dont have no pushback anymore
Also the proxy guard buff is pretty huge
About time Capcom did something about that Luke/Ken oversaturation in tournament settings. I'm not even sure how the world just kinda forgot how strong Juri was till Uma claimed a million dollar prize with her.
Nobody forgot she just wasn’t performing as good in tournaments as people figured out the matchup.

I think the only buff needed to Ryu now (according to mdz jimmy) is when he charges denjion they should allow the Ryu player to choose when to use it instead of it automatically activated from the next hadoken or hashogeki.
Maybe stack Denjin charges.

I would just let only the Fierce or EX Hadouken be the one activating the denjin charge.
This 100% losing your slow fireball is more of a disadvantage than anything alot of the time

I'm in my whole journey slowly learning more about the game and even without classic controls, Ryu just does a lot of damage to the point having modern is a mix of both spammy qualities and big boy damage using modern controls.

Daigo the legend. They need to make ryu viable again so we get to see more. I feel his charge needs a rework so you can choose when to use it. Not when he uses fbs. And increase the length of his mp cause that button is sad asf lol. Make all hashogeki more dangerous

Isn't having denji charge and not being able to use fireball straight up a nerf to your neutral game ? Just to get a little better damage combo, knowing that Ryu already do lot of damage. I don't understand why will Ryu player use denji, even after the buff.
