  • I was diagnosed with Covid on November 6th and this is what it was like running after Quarantine. I had a spike and took two months to get back to normal.

Hey mate. How's your recovery going?
During your 10-14 days of isolation/covid recovery (or whatever period), what were your symptoms?
You noted below- it took 30 days for your Heart rate to return to return to normal (4 weeks after recovery) then 4 weeks later- your running returned?
So 8 weeks/60 days *after* you recovered from covid- this was the time period for heart healing to get back to exercise level? Entry level or immediate intensity?
I've just had 10 days covid, tested positive twice (Day0,day 5) then Negative day10 - had nasty flu symptoms but after day 10, it went away but the heart felt weird, sometimes right chest or left chest - a tingling/ slight pain
Whats your experience/advice/ Thanks So much!

I do think you want to run slow pace for long distance and maybe only have a fast day now and then. But after 30 days, I think it will get better every week. It really messes with your mind. I know a guy and a girl that swear that it has effected their recovery in Crossfit. But honestly, they are improving non stop so I don't see how. I do believe it is worth monitoring and that's why I got a Whoop strap. I used a Garmin watch before and wrote lots of it down. I do feel that I am fully recovered now. It did not effect me at Leadville at all. I did better that I even expected. 60 days should be the mark of normalcy.

How has your heart rate improved since then? I had severe covid (hospitalization) 2 weeks ago and my heart rate is definitely higher. Would love to know your progress.

It took about 30 days for resting heart rate to go back to normal. Running went back after 60 days. Now I feel great.

@@omarbarradas306 Hey mate. How did the recovery go? Your comment above was 6 months ago. How is your heart now - 6months post-covid-recovery? Did you get a ECG? (12/24 point) or any tests?

Its a great question. It went totally back to normal. I really kicked training up throughout the summer and I even ran the Leadville 100 in August. I then returned to Crossfit in October and my endurance has remained. I do think that my resting heart rate has still not got back to original before Covid. But it is close and I am not doing the same ultra long distance running. The chest pain has gone away. I did get Covid again before thanksgiving. That is twice but this was mild congestion and went away without effecting my Heart Rate at all. I now wear a Whoop strap and feel alll numbers are good and back to normal.@@alythaer
