i never saw a vibraphonist use a bow before! Such beautiful unusual blend of music makes an etheric musical story with her voice soaring - yet such exquisite calm do I feel. I love the winter, feel most at home there but I think this song must be about the turn of winter to spring and back again and the wisdom of each season and of Nature's lessons.
Sensitive playing, Karine has such a great voice, great song, further enhanced by by having the unusual but wonderful combination of accordion (straight-tuned) and vibraphone. Exquisite.
+Gregor “Wolf” Milligan Folk music, as opposed to trad, is sometimes written by someone, and as Karine is rooted in the folk music genre, why not call it that? New folk music by a singer-songwriter that one day may be thought of as trad........
this is it . A mate of mine said that her song has been used by the orange order, something like " by night and by day we'll drum and we'll play to the sound of the sash coming over the brae" . It's this tune
The most beautiful honest pure singer that our country has ever produced
