Hey you should check out control freaks lightsaber from Teen Titans it's a double-sided double bladed lightsaber literally a stick and two lightsabers on each end with all the colors of a lightsaber it's actually pretty cool something only a fan would come up with but I consider kind of like a lightsaber trident

The forked design actually looks pretty practical, it'd be nice for catching the opponents blade without endangering yourself.
Looks like it would lead the other blade into your saber and destroy it.

I agree that ep. VI should be the ending of Anakin's story, but Disney is planning an entire new saga (six more episodes) that will be basically be the sequel to Anakin's saga. Because it's a separate story, I feel like they can do whatever they want, but whatever. Head canon is more important than real canon, right?

I think the 2 forked Lightsaber variants are the best ones. Not only would they be more practical but they also look alot more slick and compact than the standard version, the standard one always looked really bulky and unwieldy to me.

Crossguard Lightsabers are medieval like weapons..
I love the claymore-style with the angled up side blades. Looks better and it's much more functional than the longsword-style.
I like Ren's lightsaber. Makes me think of medieval knights with broad swords.

The forked lightsaber both the double and single are probably the best variants because it would be better for catching the enemies blade.
The straight variant is a bit more hazardous to the user and a solid guard made from a saber resistant material would be better.

The energy crossgard looks cool, but it's impractical. Would be much more acceptable if the crossgard was a physical part of the hilt. Likely made of cortosis or some such other metal.

If I were to have a crossgaurd lightsaber I would have the smaller blades perchute out of little holes to be a more effective crossgaurd and there would be metal strips directly under the blades to protect my hands

I prefer stuff like the one sith empire, reborn palpatine(way better than dumb snoke), Darth Caedus, Abeloth, and the Yuuzahn vong. The force awakens is just a lazy version of Darth Caedus(kylo ren) vs Jaina solo(Rey).

Steve Pimentel I'd say Ben is a much better character than Jacen, but Ray is completly rubbish. This is why some like to imagine Kylo Ren is the main protagonist episode 7 and Rey is his antagonist since we see Ben struggle with things.

I understand what your saying about not liking the post return of the Jedi sequels but I’ve been waiting for new Star Wars movies for a while and I thought it would be refreshing. I love the originals but I wanted to see more. Actually I would love it if they would make a movie series or tv series about the old republic and everything that happened when the Jedi and smith was created and all that stuff but I don’t think Disney would be to up to the idea seeing as a lot of that stuff isn’t canon.

While Cross guards looks cool and in theory is very practical. Every user I’ve seen use it are slow as fuck with it compared to the all the other variants of lightsabers.
You can dislike the force awakens, but to consider it totally illegitimate despite it being completely canon is a tad ridiculous

I personally do enjoy the post-RotJ EU (both canon and not), because by this point, Star Wars is not a story, it is a whole other universe. This means that it does not have a happy ending because the story keeps on going until the SW universe dies of heat death. My favorite parts of the post RotJ EU (between 4 and 137 ABY) are the Thrawn campaign, the Yuuzhan Vong War, and Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire. Every time a story is written, a new universe is created, with it's own past, present, and future. How much that is explored, however, is dependent on the author and the readers. Evil never dies, even after we think a story ends, that just means that we don't know what happens next.
Well for us star wars has a happy ending and thats that. Otherwise the whole point of the movies is lost (minus the crap awakens). And no evil can and should be eliminated in star wars as well as in real life.
