As far as I can tell, they are similar in strength, but the big pro is it will not rust in the concrete, which can lead to unsightly rust spots as well as some chemical byproduct. I like the original because if the concrete is done correctly, shouldn't really have an issue, which will save a few bucks. Unless you have a company deliver and pour, you will be mixing with water. What about fiberglass rebar instead of steel rebar? And does the concrete have to be in water mix or can it be with oil or epoxy?
