Hey guys just a heads up! I wanted to say that this isn’t my best video! And i was still fairly new at this and still learning how to shoot properly! I know the audio is low and the testing method used in this video isn’t the most accurate testing method! I have just recently got better equipment to record and will be doing a retest using a much better optic system! Going to be using an actual magnified scope/optic. And put a camera down range. Sorry for the frustration! I definitely understand! Thanks for watching anyways! Have a bless day Stay tuned!
Sorry I’m late to the party. I too just bought 1000 rounds of 5.56x tac. I also shoot with a RD and magnifier at 50 yards max. My lvpo has a home on my AR-10. I have my .556 more of a cqb home defense so at 50 yards PCM xtac with my RD I’m getting 1.5 moa groups
I am curious about your aiming and trigger pull. I have a 50 yard zero using the same PMC ammo in both 556 and 223 and hit well under an inch with 5 to 10 shot groups every time especially when prepping for a hog hunt. My scope is an inexpensive Nikon Buck Master that was purchased at the local sporting goods store.
I was using a two stage Geissele trigger (SDE) I tried my best to take my time to keep my shots steady.. I was using a red dot halo graphic.. Your Nikon buck even if it’s cheap, I believe you still have a better view of the target 🎯 my eotech is great but it’s only 1x... I should have used a lpvo type scope like a 1-6x to really make things easier for me to hit the further shots.
Trying to get a good shot group just using a red dot sight and a magnifier past 50 yards is still going to be a bit more challenging then using an actual higher power scope. My opinion anyways.. I’m sure there are people out there who are beast on red dot sights! I need more practice obviously!
@@Redeemed_Team it is too hard to keep the rifle from canting with a red dot, no use shooting for groups without magnification and a good reticle. I recently built a 16,3" DMR/Dissipator with rifle length gassystem, looking forward to trying out PMC in that rifle. My Stag 3G Elite likes the bronze 55gr, shoots sub-moa @100 meters (I'm swedish living in Sweden).
@@sneakerpimp13 yup exactly! Learned that that hard way! I currently use an LPVO now and much better groups lol I’m goin to do a re-test with the same ammo and better optic! Thanks for the feed back !
@@Redeemed_Team looking forward to checking it out 😊 I have some clips on my page of my 18". Swedish living in Sweden means prices are high to insanely high, up to 2,5x the price in the US for guns, ammo is less extremely priced.
I think he is demonstrating the grouping of the ammo. Not that he can hit a bulleye. Maybe he doesn’t want to re-zero his rifle. Its the group that matters. Thank you for the video. 10:39
Haha PMC makes decent stuff and doesn’t break the bank to bad. Their 9mm selection is decent too. I run their hollow points for my self defense rounds.
Ok I just bought me a brand new Anderson am 556,plus I have a ati omni maxx hybrid in 556/223.both guns have the exact same nikon prostaff 4/12/40 bdc scopes on them.and I took them out behind my barn where I can shoot up to 700 yards if I want to.but I was using the pmc bronze 223 in both guns, and at 100 years with both guns and 5 shots with using the pmc 223 55 grain bronze fmj ammo.i was shooting groups with each gun at 100 yars that you could cover the holes with a nickel now.then I moved to 200 and it was just the samething, same thing, out to 300 yards is when the bullets started to pull away by shooting groups of about 1 and a half inches.i never went any farther,I can not deer hunt here in Virginia with these gun but I sure can grown hog and coyote hunt with them.my son took my ati squirrel hunting the other morning and killed his limit of 6 by shooting there heads off with the gun.so in my opinion I sure as will buy more pmc bronze 55 grain fmj ammo for the pests around my farm.and I will alway use a real scope to really see and test my ammo and not a stupid red dot sight to try to see how accurate my ammo is now by all means!!!!!

Yeah everybody in the chat has already mentioned that to me. Currently 36 yard zero. I wish I had a 36 yard target but my range only has the 25 yard range then skips to 50. So I had to use this 36 yard calibrated paper target that you put on the 25 yard target lol worked ok, but still hard to see what I’m hitting because it’s such a small paper target lol
I zeroed with a printable 10 yard target. Gives you a 50/200 yard zero at 10 yards. Has an offset at 1.9” inches to adjust for POA/POC. I confirmed at both 50 yards and 200 yards and it it spot on. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Be safe and God bless brother
When I did this video a while back, it was most likely a 36 yard zero. Definitely going to retry this test soon using a much more accurate optic system. Going to retest using my leupold LPVO optic. Should have even better results.
1st thing that jumps out to me,,,,why are your bullets hitting 4" higher than your point of aim? maybe you should try to get your rifle zeroed in a little better before doing tests. also, 3 shots is all you need to figure an accurate group size. X-TAC 5.56 is more powerful & higher velocity than 223 Bronze. even using iron sights, you should have got 1" groups or less in the bullseye. if you want to shoot 55 gr ammo to save money, just swap out your upper receiver with a 1:9 or 1:8 twist barrel.
Because this was an old video where I used a halographic sight to do an accuracy test at 50/100 yards 😂 that was my first mistake.. also I had a 36 yard zero…Old viddy, since then I upgraded to an LPVO 1-6x. I get Much tighter groups now at 50/100 yards with ease..now that I can actually see what I’m aiming at lol. But yes I see your concern trust me lol not my most honorable test video!! Normally the military rounds well be the better ammo.

The bronze .223 ammo right now is around 50 cents cheaper.
