Skye with Folktails: builds elaborate housing with campfires, roofs and statues so that they can all be happy :)
Skye with Iron teeth: 2 wellbeing, everybody is thirsty, "Why aren't they working 24 hours a day??"
gee, I wonder who's the favorite? 😂
I mean, it fits the ideology of the factions.
Seeing Lemonhead II dying so tragically was hilarious. I was rooting for him to survive, but then he skipped the water pumps 😂
@rdasher7747
I think he was going for food before water.
06:41 [Day 13-23 Kuroji died of hunger.]
@@MrSnowMen Or he could've been trying to go to work instead of taking a break.
Delirium was also setting in. He thought he was envisioning the stairs at first then didn't know how to make the most of his last moments once he accepted they were real.😂
And the other beavers had to see him die in public like that.
@@MrSnowMen Yep I saw that, he quite literally died of starvation right outside the food storage, looking at the food.
RIP Lemonhead II
You're killing me Smalls 😂 with the level 1 dynamite! Please save yourself a lot of time by putting in the level 2 dynamite or even level 3. 1 level 3 dynamite blasts a hole 3 deep. You 2 are amazing. Keep up the great content.
I think he didn't build the centrifuge yet for making extract.
But also his reserve levels are capped at 2 in most places. Until Skye builds reservoirs into the mountains and pumps it up, there won’t be much to dig out. That takes a lot of power and either dirt or levees.
After two starvation near-misses due to lack of food, I am not surprised to see your main priorities are more builders, water pumps, and a badwater reservoir ;)
the devs need to create some sort of firs responder beavers, fire fighters, with portable stairs to rescue beavers.
that would be cute! a Lemonhead Brigade
That would be adorable - and a little wee dinging or clanging. Maybe if you clicked on the Rescuers only - that could get annoying else. Or maybe they could grumble theatrically whenever they'd have to rescue a boneheaded beaver who got themselves stuck?
Or make free stairs/rope that are slow to climb and/or break after 5 uses.
I know you're excited to move on to big projects, but that may kill all your beavers if you don't really plan properly in the next episode. There's better dynamite to use, more food types to plant (which at least you'll focus on in the next episode), and lastly, the general well being of the beavers is very important. Oh, and don't forget to disable your breeding pods next episode unless you really want 200 beavers roaming around with half of them doing nothing.
6:35 pretty sure beaver prioritize hunger over thirst ! So he was probably heading to food but he met the end before reaching it 😅
@playeurz I think he was going for food before water.
06:41 [Day 13-23 Kuroji died of hunger.]
Yup, his hunger was worse than his thirst. But guy who has colony of 140 beavers, advanced industry and well being of 2 can't be bothered.
Pretty sure they just solve first whatever is most pressing - in this case hunger. There is no strict priority of one essential need over the other, it was just the case that this poor fela was even more hungry than he was thirsty.
maybe you should add more little food storages all over the place as well as water to keep the distance short :)
Thanks once again, another wonderful day of beaver and Long Shafts
6:47 he was hallucinating/delusional from starving and being dehydrated surely!
Hey, quick tip, if you reduce your engine working priority to de smallest and prioritize it by haulers, you'll have your engines working without the need of a beaver working in there.
"Why did he walk past the water?"
*Dies of hunger*
I wonder.
Some tips:-
Invest in Rowhouses. They hold 10 beavers, and only take up a 1x2 footprint. You can fit 30 beavers in the same space a barracks uses.
Build a Centrifuge and turn your badwater into Extract. Extract makes dynamite far more effective.
Cassava, Soybeans and Mushrooms are easy to make, and really efficient since the Fermenters churn out food at a far better rate than Kohlrabies (for example, one Cassava is turned into at least 4 Fermented Cassava) and takes up far less space.
researching the badwater discharge device would probably help out lots with keeping power going if ya run some nice long shafts and water wheels to those areas 😏😏
I struggle to go to sleep when i get home from work because i know you'll be putting out a new video within an hour or two. Today i actually managed to stay up to watch it right away lol
The Legend of Lemonhead continues, although not for very long
You could say your badwater situation is not a bad water situation 🤣
-some dad, CIRCA 2023
I don't think that Lemonhead II deserves a memorial park after that level of cranial citrusry we witnessed
I vote a Mangrove grove for food! Is a fairly easy farm/process.
Edit: Also, an easy way to manage the Engines without labor is to put them on lowest priority for workers, but tick the "Prioritize by Haulers" box. The Haulers will keep the Engine supplied with the logs and then you don't have a slacker Worker just sitting and waiting to go get one log at a time.
You have to keep one beaver scientist in that job. That way the science stays beaverethical as well as beaverific!!
20:38 nice new building is like a base of a a clock tower wit a central open part for observation
IVE BEEN WAITING for your TB videos and here I am again, just build build and build!
27:06 a gigantic barrel made of steel and some wood for the woter
If you look at the update area, Lemonhead II died of hunger not thirst. which makes it more tragic because he was literally in front of the food shed.
Yay new video
Grats on first AGAIN. lol
Lol
*shakes fist* I'll get you for this
@@TheAceFireChild And on the left we have Beaver Ace and on the Right we have Beaver Ravi. Ding Ding
Grats on first ;)
You need to get levels 2 and 3 dynamite.
In case anyone wants to know, medium tanks store 75 water per tile (75x4=300) and large tanks stores 133.3water per tile (133.3x9=1200).
we want mega projects that wasn't mega enough lol
How much water could a beaver chuck if a beaver could chuck water?
It could be a good idea to use flood gates on the main river near the flood gates that fills your reservoir. So you can close off the main river to fill your reservoir first/faster just in case!
03:48 - beer came up my nose from laughter xD
Looking forward to seeing how you design some snazzy Ironteeth community complexes! They have such cool looking buildings ♪
I recomand you to add some holling post and make fermended food.
Things are looking better! Yay! I really struggle with the Iron teeth in this update. The difficulty has jumped up quite a bit. I had to abandon my last game after the recent changes, and now I'm playing on this map also. I'm doing things a little differently, but this series is giving me some great ideas! Thanks Skye! I think this is my favorite of your Timberborn series so far!
If you are also struggling with food, rush to get corn rations as soon as possible. They are so efficient, saved my entire game.
@@youshimimi I read that fermented mushrooms are the most food per tile. And they are stackable and I'm low on space so that was my next food goal. Then definitely corn after that.
@@scullywully1604 oh right, I didn't have enough water to sustain that so I didn't even realize 😄 Good luck!
@@youshimimi ? It uses 5 water per day. You need 6 per fermenter, so that's 30 per day. That's 1 extra pump... I think I'll be just fine. 😂
@@scullywully1604 I was talking about my specific run. Hard badwater Beaverdome, literally no water to spare in two badtides in a row. Until proper water infrastructure is built that is.
Plus, that would take 8 jobs compared to 3- 5 I was able to run on, so I was pretty happy with my choice.
The water dumps use a lot more water than you would think. They are a big problem. But very useful
Hey Sky, maybe someone mentioned this because I'm like 2 eps behind, but beavers will prioritise water wheels over engines for power with the latest patch. It's not efficient for workers, but basically they'll only burn if there is a shortfall of power! So just leave the engines on and connect the wheels.
3:48 This is a genius level beaver 🦫
6:38 And now is RIP 🪦
I hope you use those water reserves to the north to expand your farming. Coffee and Mangroves would look really cool and little processing. Otherwise anything really since it’s already irrigated land
If I were you I would be getting everything with that amount of science
If you go for mushrooms instead of corn. You don't need so much land for growing as the hydroponics is stackable. A little fermenter or tow and you will be swimming in food.
I know i'm a ton behind but, you should put flood gates blocking the main course that open during bad tides and act like dams during normal flow to boost water flow after a drought
It'd be amazing to see him use the large water tank to hold the bad water to help them get more dynamite
From the looks of it, Lemonhead's hunger bar was in worse condition than his thirst bar, so he prioritized going to food. Notice he died of hunger, not thirst.
Also of interest to note: You renamed him Lemonhead II but his death indicator retained his original name Kuroji.
! THERES A THOUGHT PROCESS!??
i wonder how long it will be befor he finds the 2 and 3 tnt that lets you blow 2 to 3 tils down at a time (it next the the 1 tile tnt) it would save sooo much time
Lemonhead knew that he was very much late from work. There’s no excuse for being late from work.
The fact that the barracks are staggered and aren't built in a double stacked grid is destroying my soul
in the water menu the last item you can unlock will help with the bad water drought problem
pause the water dumps when water runs low during the draughts. that's where are the water is going
Pretty sure you could boost wellbeing by giving them somewhere to sleep. That's 50 homeless!
I think Lemonhead II was going for food because that bar was lower. Still Lemondead though...
Build a 5 story high, stored tower 🥳
A smal shirne should be placed on Lenonhead Peninsula as a reminder of the dangers of being Lemonhead
RIP Lemonhead II
Put some more berry bushes near the new tree area
I was waiting, your videos are soo fun
watched all 6 episodes in a row. Happy to found your channel. Keep the creative way to build up :)
Welcome aboard!
Terrible news about Lemonhead but he was more hungry the thirsty becuse it said he died of hunger😭
Still waiting for those poor Trish bearers to have a house... but good work so far
Strongly consider diversifying your food instead of just switching to corn. Beavers are happier when they have a diversified diet. And happy beavers are faster beavers.
Appreciate all that you. Keeps me in a great mood.
Skye there is also mods for power management
EZ recovery 👌
Seeing the strength of the basic structure you're getting in. I can tell you've got something interesting planned. I'm eager to see what it is
Looks pretty good!!!
Great job!!!
Waht a lemon head
Must be time to put in a roof top pub or three 😂
Once you bring another food online your Kholrabi will go further, with a diverse diet they only need to eat certain foods every other day instead of every day. So adding a new crop will double your Kholrabi. Instead of the extra dynamite factories, build the catalyst and start getting tier 2 and 3 Dynamite online. Please build small storage's near workplaces and homes with Water/Food in them so they don't have to run allll the way to your farms/water zones. You need to double your homes, so build a staircase up. Consider putting in more leisure and well being buildings. Turn off pods if you are worried about population explosion. The working/moving efficiency is so worth it. Make sure your water dumps and engines are set to the lowest priority work but prioritized by haulers. These 2 buildings do not need someone present to actually work, just the materials to make them run. At some point you might consider making a small district that is just engines and a couple hauling posts so no one actually works in them.
I think it's about time to focus on wellbeing, maybe another lemon head memorial park?
Lemonhead II died of hunger
man with that much water this early I'd be shocked if you didnt try the hydroponics. It's my favorite thing to spam as iron teeth especially with bots running them 24/7 :P
Make big storege it's hold more water 🌊
I hope next ep you help those poor relatives of Lemonhead obtain a home... All 48 of them. He had lots and lots of relo's
lets double it another large water tankk hehehe
Wait so.. you can tecnically power the normal researchers... how does beaver power outlets look like? if you touch them, instead of frying, do you just get slinged across the room?
lol ;)
For you next season maybe design your own map? Or try a custom map?
Please do something about the injured beavers, those poor little beavers need healthcare!
Try to pump the river empty :)
You using a lot of dynamite 🧨 just unlock the next level dynamite so you can make a hole 2 or 3 layers at the time. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Did I see badwater seeping through the diagonal levee?
Great videos! I am subscribed for a long time, but I think it's time to move our relationships further, so I turned on the bell 😌
Awesome! Thank you!
Why did Lemonhead II, the stranded beaver always carry a backpack full of sticks and twigs?
Because he wanted to be prepared for a "dam" good time, just in case he found his way back to the riverbank! 🐾😄
David Attenborough narrates: "It is said that necessity is the mother of invention, and nowhere in nature is that proven more efficiently than with the beavers of Iron Tooth Lake. In a moment of clarity some may call 'mad genius', one of the adults has willingly sacrificed himself to Lemonhead's Curse by deliberately stranding himself, completely cut off from food, water, and shelter. In the very last moments of his life, where he marched proudly through the village streets so that all may witness his sacrifice, our brave beaver claims the mantle of 'Lemonhead The Second' before declaring his intention of fighting the Curse from the other side. To the shock of many, the beaver formerly known as Kuroji died with an honest smile on his face. It is only a matter of time before a memorial is erected in his honor.
In a bizarre turn of events, it's as though Kuroji's willing sacrifice was the key to a massive bounce back from the edges of total disaster. Aquatic reservoirs are dug deeper, with larger areas being earmarked as additional aquifer storage. Large swathes of the desolation beyond the toxic headwaters of the River Lemon are built up, creating a reserve nearly as large as the freshwater ones, allowing for the increased production of explosives. Huge metal silos are raised, increasing the drinking water storage nearly four-fold. Plans are drawn up for new crop fields, complete with new crops to compliment the kohlrabi already grown. In short, the recent crisis the Iron Tooth beavers have gone through has made them do more than merely grit their teeth and endure. They have come back stronger and more determined than ever. The days ahead may still carry hardship and danger, but the newfound courage instilled by Kuroji's willing sacrifice, made public for all to see, has given the beavers of Iron Tooth Lake a much needed boost in morale."
Kuroji may have been an utter lemon in getting stranded like he did, but I'm happy that I could come up with a way to make that actually be a _good_ thing. I'm actually more excited to see what comes next than I was at the end of the first episode. Amazing work as always, Skye!
Time to start making extract to make dynamite more effective?
Are you going to add pumps and water storage to the second water reservoir?
F for Lemonhead
I was wondering would working just an 8 hour or 10 hour increase the overall well being or reduce the food demand that the colony was facing?
Somebody needs to make a mod for efficient engine use tha t let's you set engines to turn off at set levels of power production.
You definitely DONT need WORKERS in ENGINES, HAULERS can carry the wood and engines will be RUNNING.
Can you upgrade the houses to the denser housing?
It's too bad there isn't some switch that you could install for bad water facilities to shut down with the bad water season.
There is a mod for stuck beavers.
shouldnt the breeding pods be turned off during drought? They use up water...
since you do the math a ton. have you done the math for how many mechanical pumps you would need to completely suck up 7 water sources?
you say mega project? double it!
Yep, 3 hours. See you tomorrow.
hahahaha
Why don't you use the 2 and 3 bock dynamite?
haulers. please get some hauliers.
I have haulers
double it @@SkyeStorme
Hi, I can't find the floodgate mod anywhere!! Does anyone know where to get? Thanks!!!
