Thanks Kim, glad you like my arrangements :) The great thing about UA-cam is the amount of different styles you can choose from, I'm very grateful to be a part of it!
I love too much the part of "past the point of no return". You can feel the same sensual sound from the song! I remember the scene where Sierra Bogges and Ramin Karimloo sang this song.
Racello Laufey i know right i love The Phantom of The Opera it is the 2nd most beautifulest piece in the movie i lov past the point of no return it is sooo sooo sooo beautiful LOL got Taylor and Lindsey!!! 😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄
Equally talented, but with their own artistic flair. I'm a hairdresser, and even though all of my colleagues are trained to the same standard, we all have our own individual style and signatures. For example, I'm a master of blondes, while one of my friends is able to create the most incredibly rich browns. We're not above of below each other, we just have our own individual strengths.
Thanks, ha yea everything is technically intentional because we're aware of it but there's not much we can do about it when we're done filming and editing, we aren't professional videographers so we do our best!
Thanks, I love pretty much all genres of music so it's fun to share that on my channel. Video game music will always be my favorite for the reason you mentioned, and don't worry, there's still plenty more vg music to come this year :)
Both of us love that one too and were considering it in place of one of the others but the way we arranged it, it didn't seem to flow as well. It's always a tough choice though because it's all such great music! Maybe we'll have to do it for a separate video sometime :)
You know there's nothing more beautiful than seeing a woman express herself through her music in my opinion. Just seeing you two playing and your expressions shows you are fused with the music both in your hearts and souls. It's very beautiful and it is expressed perfectly in your music. :D
"Masquerade paper faces on parade, masquerade hide your face so the world may never find you" and I could probably sing every single song, as well I'm a Phantom of the Opera lover right to the core of my genetic code. And this is simply breathtaking!
I think you really catch the subtlety of the play/movie. Where most people are focusing on the ruthlessness and insanity of the Phantom, you capture the side of him that was caring and hadn't been morphed by his appearance. This is definitely one of my favorites!
This is one of my favorite medleys of all time. So pure and angelic. All I Ask Of You makes me want to cry because I CAN FEEL every. single. note. Also, the climatic key change in Down Once More, KILLS me every time and it's been 6 years, 3 months and 17 days since this has been released.
I'm taking violin lessons because u taught me how beautiful the to instruments combined can make something beautiful and it can touch u and make u cry thank you for your beautiful piece and please keep doing what your doing u have brought beauty to this song so it really touched me I listened to it 1,000,000 times you are such a good violinist and the person who played the piano thank you for that ur part was so good that it fitted the violin like a lock or even hands the hands represent the relationship between the two instruments its like once they fit together they don't let go and they work together to create such a beautiful piece. Keep doing the violin please and Make more phantom of the opera song these songs can really touch you. 💔👍🏻😢
Thanks! Lara and I actually did a rendition of "An End, Once and For All" on our new Game themed album, it's on iTunes, Amazon, Google, and my site if you want to check it out!
This makes me so happy! You don't even know! I've been watching this movie for as long as I can remember and know what part goes with part in the scene!!!!
Crying hard core now, I used to sing this song when I was small, absolutely obsessed with it, and now I even still sing it. And it makes me so happy that you played this and posted it. Thank you.
This Phantom piano/violin medley is phenomenal & phantastic! Absolutely beautiful & mesmerizing video with the candles & closeups. Thank you, Lara, Taylor & Megan for absolutely beautiful & enchanting piece!
How can one not like a medley such as this. I hope that Lara comes for another visit soon so you two can join on some more of these. :) It is ALWAYS a sincere pleasure to watch and listen to you. I will continue to tell others about both of you and look forward to more to come. Till the next one dear lady…. BTW to any that don't have the 2 player mode album, I would recommend to get it. I enjoy it very much and I think many others will too.
Taylor and Lara, you never cease to amaze myself or those who watch you. The Phantom of the Opera is my favorite plays, and listening to the way you both play has allowed me to see the different scenes in my mind. Thank you. ~Carl
[Verse 1: CHRISTINE] In sleep he sang to me, in dreams he came That voice which calls to me and speaks my name And do I dream again? For now I find The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside my mind [Verse 2: PHANTOM] Sing once again with me our strange duet My power over you grows stronger yet And though you turn from me to glance behind The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside your mind [Verse 3: CHRISTINE] Those who have seen your face Draw back in fear I am the mask you wear [PHANTOM] It's me they hear... [BOTH] Your/My spirit and my/your voice In one combined The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside my/your mind [BACKUP] Beware, the Phantom of the Opera [Verse 4: PHANTOM] In all your fantasies, you always knew That man and mystery [CHRISTINE] Were both in you [BOTH] And in this labyrinth, where night is blind The Phantom of the Opera is here/there [CHRISTINE] Inside my/your mind... [PHANTOM] Sing, my Angel of Music! [CHRISTINE] He's there, the Phantom of the Opera [CHRISTINE vocalizing] [PHANTOM] Sing! Sing for me Sing, my Angel of Music! Sing for me!
This is so good It actually made me cry I love the masquerade in the beginning and the end amazing job to both of you I bought the song on itunes because it was so good. Congrats to both of you!! :)
Lovely harmony between the two of you, a beautiful rendition. Then again, your playing always sounds amazing. Musicians who are so passionate about their art deserve far more appreciation on the internet.
That was absolutely amazing!!! You have brought me / to that moment when words run dry / to that moment when speech disappears into silence / silence Honestly, this is the best PTO medley I have EVER heard! If you ever end up sitting down and writing the sheet music, please let me know! This is truly an excellent piece, and I would love to try it out.
That of feelings by listening to you!!!! Your interpretation is grand, deserving of the biggest. A big moment of pure happiness and one thank you since France.
There's other medleys which has "music of the night" , but doesn't have "past the point of no return", or "masquerade." It's hard to find a perfect medley..
Hello Lara and Taylor!! I'm a spanish student of film and tv, and I'm working right now on a documentar y about the phantom of the opera, would it be possible for us to use this beautiful medley and credit you both for it? thanks a lot!! :)
Wow this was awesome. I've to to say, your violin work is amazing, but the pianist, Lara as said in your description, is one heck of a pianist as well. Always enjoy the videos of you to together with the violin and piano. Keep it up!
WOW what a duo. When I die, I will refuse to enter heaven until there is you two (or at least a simulation of you's) playing this or any other song, which I know anything will be amazing from this duet, as a form of welcome theme
There is no way Lindsey Stirling is better than these two ladies. Taylor and Lara play the music true to its roots and it is simple breathtaking whereas Lindsey tries to add a modern rock and roll twist to it and it loses its beauty. Well Done you two, you have absolutely excellent music!
James Hill while I also prefer this version, I also like Lindsey's, she has her own style. and that is how she expresses herself, I think that in itself it also beautiful.
Interpretational wise, I love this performance better than Lindsey's. However, you cannot deny that Lindsey is an incredible violinists. I think she has a lot more skill and is puts a new twist to the violin, which is pretty awesome. Yeah, staying traditional is cool, but innovations are even cooler.
Hello taylor I'm speaking here of Brazil. I am a great admirer of his songs, in fact their songs always make me cry anymore no more of sorrow but of joy you may not fully understand what I'm writing here to know more LOVE Your Music Keep your Beautiful music God Te Eliminate very.
Nowadays you seem to put more and more afford into the visual style of your videos. And I must say, it's totally worth it. This is amazing. This beautiful music in a symphony with this beautiful arrangement warms my heart! You both done so well! Thank you very much.
Like Leo said, they both have different styles. Both are amazing. I prefer Taylor on the grounds her compositions are simple and something I can get lost in. Maybe it's because I play violin and I identify with Taylor's style more. Lindsey's are intricate and have a lot of runs and I think that takes away from it sometimes.
I wanted to give you both the views, so I watched both of your videos! You two are amazing both of you! With and without your instruments, I believe you two are one of the most inspiring and beautiful people on Earth.
3:50 when the piano plays "Past the Point of no Return" and the violin plays "Angel of Music" - There's no word to express how epic is this moment. My soul trembles.
Though music may not physically cure cancer, they can soothe the pain of those who are terminally ill. I am an amateur violinist and I have participated in music therapy for the patients in palliative care, and those patients are more interested in hearing music than anything in the last moments of the lives.
Wonderful stuff! Could I feature this in a video with your links in my description box? :) I've got about 13 million views on my channel now so should give some exposure for sure! Just a small snippet for a video intro!
Very well done. The mastery is so complete between the both of you. I always enjoy watching the awesomeness of composition between talented individuals. Thank you for posting and thanks for your talent to this life.
Once again, you're just brilliant at what you two do. I really love your combo. The piano is simply beautiful- very well played, gentle when it has to be and flowing. As for the violin, it's also magical, simply because I know how difficult it is for one to play so fluidly. Keep up the amazing job!
... I have listened to many an impressive cover of this music, but your arrangement was something else. It's exciting and menacing, as it should be, and also captured all those lovely moments of hope this musical is also about, making it utterly moving above all else ... thanks for this feeling.
You two are absolutely incredible. What I just heard was so incredibly beautiful.

I'm sad to say it was way too long since I last listened to your violin, Tay. I can only say: Such an advancement in playing technique! You sound fantastic and even more evolved from last time. Keep on doing fantastic music for us and yourself. I will continue to listen for it more often now.
Thanks Kim, glad you like my arrangements :) The great thing about UA-cam is the amount of different styles you can choose from, I'm very grateful to be a part of it!

HungerGames101FanGirl Same. The Point of No return is my favourite and the Phantom of the Opera is my second favourite piece.
Ramin should have been the phantom in the movie
+Neverwakemeup I like Gerard butler better
Lindsey and Taylor are great violinists, we need not be comparing the two, after all both are wonderful
100% agree. Everyone has they own style or take on these songs.. which is a good thing.

GETTING THE FEELS FROM THIS They even did the bit where Christine pleads for Erik to spare Raoul and still calls him Angel of music 😭😭😭😭
"Masquerade paper faces on parade, masquerade hide your face so the world may never find you" and I could probably sing every single song, as well I'm a Phantom of the Opera lover right to the core of my genetic code. And this is simply breathtaking!

my two favorite intruments in the phantom of the opera melody this is beyond perfect!!
This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard in my whole life.

Love it! My fav musical Ever!
I still return over and over to hear this beautiful medley!!
[Verse 1: CHRISTINE]
In sleep he sang to me, in dreams he came
That voice which calls to me and speaks my name
And do I dream again? For now I find
The Phantom of the Opera is there
Inside my mind
[Verse 2: PHANTOM]
Sing once again with me our strange duet
My power over you grows stronger yet
And though you turn from me to glance behind
The Phantom of the Opera is there
Inside your mind
[Verse 3: CHRISTINE]
Those who have seen your face
Draw back in fear
I am the mask you wear
[PHANTOM]
It's me they hear...
[BOTH]
Your/My spirit and my/your voice
In one combined
The Phantom of the Opera is there
Inside my/your mind
[BACKUP]
Beware, the Phantom of the Opera
[Verse 4: PHANTOM]
In all your fantasies, you always knew
That man and mystery
[CHRISTINE]
Were both in you
[BOTH]
And in this labyrinth, where night is blind
The Phantom of the Opera is here/there
[CHRISTINE]
Inside my/your mind...
[PHANTOM]
Sing, my Angel of Music!
[CHRISTINE]
He's there, the Phantom of the Opera
[CHRISTINE vocalizing]
[PHANTOM]
Sing!
Sing for me
Sing, my Angel of Music!
Sing for me!

* John Cena appears through the wall * aRE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT
Musical, book, song, movie...
I've seen it on Broadway it's the best!!!
I love all of it..from the book, to the movie, to musical, to the horrid sequel..
This is why I love youtube: it's easy for young talented musicians to share their music with the rest of the world!
I love it!!!
Thanks!
Bravi, Bravi, Bravissimi!!
Oh this really brings back happy memories working stage crew in High School. Brilliantly done ladies.
I like specialy the part of "The Point of No Return"! I mus be one of the bigest fans of this musical, belive me!
Lovely harmony between the two of you, a beautiful rendition. Then again, your playing always sounds amazing. Musicians who are so passionate about their art deserve far more appreciation on the internet.

I prefer your interpretation than the other violinist that dances and jumps like an elf! Keep the good work!
XD
Taylor you and Lara are both amazing!!!!! This is a beautiful cover of one of my favorite musicals. Fantastic job to the both of you.
FANTASTIC!!!
Ever since you guys posted this, I just keep coming back to it because it’s just so beautiful.
Aw, no Music of the night? That happens to be my favorite song from that musical.
I know, right? :/
There's other medleys which has "music of the night" , but doesn't have "past the point of no return", or "masquerade." It's hard to find a perfect medley..
It is the best….
Both of you look more beautiful than ever in this video. I'm loving your work and dedication on this video.
Hello Lara and Taylor!! I'm a spanish student of film and tv, and I'm working right now on a documentar y about the phantom of the opera, would it be possible for us to use this beautiful medley and credit you both for it? thanks a lot!! :)

You're telling me THAT was by EAR?! Mind blown.
Taylor, you are an inspiration for me. Lara's piano sounds so great in this video. Congratulations one more time, and not the last, I hope!
Wow! Awesome!
awesome
Thanks for sharing that, really glad you're enjoying the music

Lindsey Sterling is amazingly talented and plays beautifully, but you don't get the same emotion from her that you do with these two women!
Interpretational wise, I love this performance better than Lindsey's. However, you cannot deny that Lindsey is an incredible violinists. I think she has a lot more skill and is puts a new twist to the violin, which is pretty awesome. Yeah, staying traditional is cool, but innovations are even cooler.
lindsey is overrated lol
Wow I love❤ Lara’s piano arrangement. Also, her dynamics in the title song are incredible!
I like this version of the phantom of the opera better than Lindsey sterlings remix of it overall I love the piece it's beautiful
I agree. She's so talented but that version was so showy that it sort of lost the original majesty of the song.

Everyone is saying who's is better Lindsey or Taylor.
Debate away my friends.
both are amazing
Both have different styles and both are awesome...however, I prefer Taylor :)
I really Prefer Lindsey :3

You two ladies send chills up my spine, seriously. Absolutely wonderful. Best artists of our generation, no exaggeration at all!
I like the version of Lindsey Stirling but your version is a lot of better then hers
+Marcel Haas No, it´s not.
+José Fontalvo It's just his opinion.
Personally I like this one better too. This one is a lot calmer than Lindsey's and if that happens to be your style..
José Fontalvo: If you prefer Lindsey, it's all up to you and you should be joining her website. Bye!
Very well done. The mastery is so complete between the both of you. I always enjoy watching the awesomeness of composition between talented individuals. Thank you for posting and thanks for your talent to this life.

Phantom of the Opera will always have a special place in my heart~ I love this medley! You guys are AMAZING!
And this only goes to show how well a piano and violin work together.
What passionate playing!!!
You can feel so much emotion from this performance... fantastic work ladies.
