I was thinking about a Casioak, but I thought it was too big for my wrist. I got a DW-5600E, and then heard that the Casioak is about the same size, and I don’t mind the size of the 5600 at all, so now I MUST get the Casioak.
Nice review, pointing out all the features and i think you made the right choice, i know the yellow one is all the rage now but can't shake that feeling that it looks like a cheap toy while this one is much slicker and the red accent is just that cherry on top.
The yellow runs this close, but I reckon this is No.1; love the red hand on the subdial and 'Tough Solar' in gold, gives a retro feel.
I have this same watch, best choice of colour and accents are subtle (but add a pop of colour). The most comfortable watch I've owned - only negative was the initial set up being a little long winded and the difficulty of reading the small lettering. The app does make things easier in day to day use though.

My mom and dad bought me this watch for my 21st birthday been wearing it more than any watch I bought it’s special to me plus it’s customizable you have a lot of options from case to straps

I like the Caution Yellow model myself, basically black with yellow accents. The dial effect is pretty much a sunburst, for me the watch's most attractive feature, Tough Solar & Bluetooth make this a very practical option and replace the resin case and strap with the gen 4 SKXMod black PVD case/bracelet and you have yourself a really decent and reliably accurate watch that fits any situation.
This is exactly my plan! Wish i could switch to a black waffle dial but i value the look of the branding over the plain waffle background tbh.
I have the regular ga 2100 and look forward to getting one of these new ones. It's a really nice watch.

As far as the solar charging I've left my watch in the drawer for a week once I was ready to wear took it out the drawer still charged an automatically reset to standard time watch is awesome

Noticed the "RCVD" on the digital display. I have thought this usually have watches with Multiband - Radio signal Receiving.
But in here it means receiving from BT correct?

Solar and a positive display is enough to finally get my first 2100, I love my 5600 and gbd200 but no solar all my current needs met with 3 quality Casios

I got the yellow, because I have a some black watches. I do love it.
My favorite watch I have from gshock is actually my mustard yellow ga2100 the original first run exclusive to Japan. The color is simply fantastic. I think it’s the only one I have that’s actually made in Japan and the it feels quite different than wearing the other ga2100’s made elsewhere for some reason. The quality of materials is just better
I want to get the yellow and put the module in a black band. I love the dial on the yellow version. You can see really well.

The ignite red colorway for various G-Shock models including this one is pretty cool. but it has a negative display although a bit red/pink tinted to match the red accents
its cool , but I bought the navy blue .. its bit diffrent at least :)

And im totally fine with the price, if I get something for it (features wise) no problem.
You talked about putting it on with a suit. Do you feel it is not a perfect fit for such, because of the extra colours on it?

4:07 is actually calibrating the hands - A LOT of G-Shocks are not precise with their analogue hands, and this is how you adjust them.

Every time I see one of these the battery level is at Medium, do they ever reach High?
My GW-M5610U-1ER is always on High and I wear it a few times a week at most, in fact it only once dropped to Medium.
I leave it where the light from outside can reach it when not worn though.
Still waiting patiently for blackout mini. Tried the regular size ga2100 but my tiny wrist just not feeling it.

I really wish the week day dial hadn't changed into a mode dial, having to press a button to switch between day of the week and day of the month is a deal-breaker for me. I think I'll go for the non-Bluetooth models instead.
Although Yellow is the posterchild hero colour for sure, I'd rather have the black one anyway, it's more versatile and able to be paired with more outfits.

I would like this model to have white markers. But this is nice. I thought you’ve had it for a while, how does the battery hold up? Does it hold on the solar for a while?
You can buy after market parts such as lumed hour markers in many colours for quite reasonable prices.

I tried the yellow one at tokyo, i think it’s not that great on hand, kinda like too plasticky. I prefer black one over yellow!
I didn't like that the GAB2100 removed the weekdays from the subdial and gave us useless info that could have been accessed from the LCD. I'd rather have the weekday info at a glance.

Hi All i just want to ask about this tough solar since this is my first watch using solar.
So when i bought this watch, the battery hands showing in “M” in the middle and when i connect the watch to phone, i can see the battery showing 2 bars, so i decided to put the watch under my bedside table lamp for the whole night. In the morning i checked the indicator is not changing, even when connected to phone, it still showing 2 bars.
Is that normal, since I’ve seen videos that it’s showing in “H”
I’ve never seen my hit H even outside in the sun for the day, lol I don’t know what to tell you. It’s always running on half a tank
Recently picked up this bad boy for $110, but mine has 2 bars battery in app (mid level slightly to low). Does it charge automatically while i'm doing stuff outdoor?. It's my first tough solar g-shock though.
Yes will solar charge with normal wear. I live in Scotland where the sun doesn't shine very often and mine is always showing H for max battery.

How do you get the battery to high according to the indicator? I’ve been out in the sun the past 3 days and I can’t get it to high. 🤷♂️
What helped me was put it under a LED LAMP/light
Just noticed the edges of the hands of this watch here are a bit rough?? My regular 2100 (camo) hasnt got that, the edges are spot on. Noticed this watch is caged in China, mine in Thailand.
Interesting. The hands don’t look rough when you look at it through your own eyes. It was the lighting and macro lens I was using that really show that texture more

Hi, I have a question. When I sync my GA-B2100, it is off by 15 seconds compared to my G-Shock 5610. The difference is roughly 15 seconds. I believe the 5610 shows the correct time as it syncs with the atomic clock and syncs with the time on my cellphone. Any ideas on how to correctly sync the GA-B2100?? Thanks!
I have both models, and just sync my GA-B2100 at least once a day via my mobile phone app. It's never been out of sync with my GW-M5610. Do you sync your GA-B2100 regularly? Without sync its stated accuracy is +/- 15 seconds per month.
@@iandavies8616 It’s really strange but after syncing both my 5610 and my GA-B-2100 - the 5610 it is off (faster) by 30 seconds. I sync my Casioak using the Bluetooth app and the 5610 syncs automatically. TheCasioak is displaying the correct time. Really odd....
Is the single hole wrist strap as long as the double hole one they use on the other entry g shock?
Amazing how the instructions that come with the watch don’t mention the App you should download to your phone to exploit the Bluetooth features of the watch. Once I saw a UA-cam video on the App I was all set, especially the auto time phone sync

i dont like that they switched up the day dial to mode one i would get older version because of this change
The only thing I worry about this version with Bluetooth is if the companion app gets discontinued.
But than you can still set the time manually on the Watch!
There is an unofficial open-source app called CasioGShockSmartSync
It won't get discontinued since it is single App for all Casio watches
It will only get upgraded. Casio isn’t going anywhere.
