I do like products like these that are easy and convenient to use. These would be a good idea for those who prefer to use a powdered shadow to blend out the edges of the crayon. Some beautiful colours in amongst these, especially the greens.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

I have not seen packaging like this. I like it and i love the colors. Estee has been around a long time and they are reinventing themselves. Makes me happy.

Happy New Year Glorya! 🥂🍾🎆 Hope you had a lovely Christmas too. For once, it was actually a nice cool day of only 25°celsuis for Christmas and we had thunderstorms starting on Christmas Eve, going through Christmas Day. It was beautiful. When I was growing up, in Australia the brands we had in cosmetics were those like Revlon, Maybelline, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Lancôme etc. and then the more expensive brands like Chanel, Dior etc. It wasn't until the internet brought us online shopping, which isn't all that long ago, that things changed. Then, when Sephora hit our shores and a large store called Mecca opened here that the whole industry changed. We then had access to brands we'd either never heard of before nor had access to. Now, with Indie Brands starting left, right and centre, the brands that have been around for so long have to try to keep up. Too many try to compare these older brands to those such as Pat McGrath or Natasha Denona etc., yet they are in a very different league. When we have mature eyelids, the last thing we need is shimmery metallics that are blinding. We like something that's nice and subtle that works well on our eyelids. I had mentioned Givenchy Eye Palettes to someone in their early 30's as something to swatch when next at a store. I was referring to the lovely shifts in the shades that they have and how they apply, which is perfect for me. This young woman, who has a YT Channel thought she would buy a palette instead! These are far from cheap, costing AUD$115.00 (US$78.43). They had just launched a few palettes, with the last one consisting of rather pale pinks and peach shades. They weren't meant to stand out. Out of all of Givenchy's palettes, this would be the last one I would have recommended for her to try. She bought it and reviewed it on her Channel.🤦🏼‍♀️ As she didn't know how to work with these softer shades, she kept trying to build up the shimmer factor, yet failed dismally. Therefore, she gave the palette a terrible review when it was her fault it failed. I own this palette myself and it's beautiful. You just need to know the difference between textures, colours and how to apply to lids of varying ages. I think that products like these in the video are perfect for these brands. They've never been known for high impact looks, yet for a smart, stylish woman. I don't think that they need to compete with other brands, yet keep up with quality and innovation that their brands have been known for all this time. When I see some of these YT videos with regular people putting on make-up, I'm shocked at just how much product they apply! My goodness, I haven't worn foundation on a fairly regular basis since I moved away from the city. My skin has thanked me for freeing it up and I don't look my age at all. The most I ever put on, on rare occasions, is a light foundation - due to have been given samples and a light concealer. I then add a light amount of pressed powder plus my eye make-up etc. Normally, I just use eye make-up, lippy and a natural light blush. I'm gobsmacked when I see the endless layers of products that these women use - from all ages! They have about five layers of primer, concealer, colour corrector, glow drops to mix with foundation.......and it goes on. It's insane that anyone would need this much product. Make-up is about enhancing our features, not changing what we look like completely. I must be the least vain person around. I love my make-up, yet only because it fits in with my love of artistry in many forms. On Christmas Day, I added a lovely antique gold shade over my eyelids, pressed some white sparkles from the palette sparsely over it, lined under my lower lashes with a muted red shade and lined over the top lashes with a deep green. I used the Chanel Quad from their Byzance Collection called Baroque which gives off Chritmassy vibes. I then put on a deep green mascara. I didn't feel the need to be seen from Mars! I was happy enough with what I put on, although with a muted red lip. I've got nothing against those who wish to wear what ever they like, no matter what their age. It's their face and if it makes them happy to sparkle, good on them. I'm just a tad more stylish and classy. Think of Burberry, whom I'm a huge admirer of. I even bought some Burberry Perfume and Body Mist as a gift for myself. When we get to a certain age, we deserve to buy ourselves some indulgences. I certainly did this Christmas! After the last four years, I feel I've deserved to pick myself up after what I've been through. I think that using make-up is a great way to make one feel so much better, especially when we're looking better. It makes such a difference to how we feel. It's like how great our skin feels after putting on a face mask and then adding some lovely moisturising products. Guess what? I finally caved and purchased the one year shipping cost from Selfridges in London! I got so tired of waiting for the new ranges from Prada and Rabanne to arrive, that I took the plunge. I now have access to more brands too, such as Suqqu. They even reduce prices on luxury make-up over the Christmas/New Year period. I've never tried Valentino, yet I've got their latest eight-pan eye palette and a bunch of lipsticks coming. A few more Prada Lipsticks, the Wild Star Eye Palette from Isamaya Ffrench and some other indulgences. We never have luxury make-up go on Sale except from Sephora who will reduce the odd items from certain brands. Never will you see Chanel or Dior reduced. I finally ordered Guerlain's Rouge G Lipsticks and Cases. You have to buy them separately, the lipstick, then the case. Luckily, they were both reduced. I'm actually think I'm done as far as trying lipsticks from most of the brands. Anyway, I've taken up enough of your time and do wish you the very best for this new year ahead, Kris.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨🕊

It goes on just the same with mine, a better pigment delivery than typical powder.
