Great job on a really cool-looking plane...
I'm going to guess this is not the first model you've put together.... You have great skill sir.
Really nice:
Model
Editing
Music
Weathering
Just all !!!
(MY MODELS are my channel (sadly i have really bad camera) not advertisenment )

I built an Airfix Model of this "thing" when I was a kid. I was proud of it and thought it looked really cool but when I read the history of it I was disappointed. They were literally flying coffins. This model is a bit better than mine. Just a bit. Ha Ha. Can't even t believe the instructions are in colour.
I learned about its history and flaws too
Very nice weathering!
Great build. Dammit you make this look so easy!!!
Absolutely amazing build!
Great piece of art.
Thanks for the great video! Impresive kit!
I like those 3 fritz x's overall the plane is beautifull made...👍🏽
Superb build! 👍 I guess the advantage of working in 1/72-scale is there's a lot of detail to be added, lol. I dont know much about this bomber, off to the internet, for me 😁
How do you make these awsome videos
Show us your bench please
Looks so good!!
as always fantastic job and video, regards from Barcelona
Thank you very much!! All the best 👍 Dusan.
Wish I had a model shop local to me like that
Awesome
What store did you go to!? That place looks amazing in selection category
Very nice well done !!
Did you ever do a Stuka Donnervogel? The one with the two 20mm canon pods?
I just started today with the cockpit. How long have you done about it?
A, fantastic looking plane. Sad the real thing was so poorly designed. It really would have changed the war if it were put into service effectively, subbed immediately your videos are very good for very beginner modelers like me.
Great build as always, but what is the knife you use to open the box? I've seen it before and asked, but haven't gotten a response. I d like to have one like it. Thanks!
Hey Paul, we'll you didn't saw the entire video😁, believe me or not I remembered your question in your previous comments! That's why I have shown the boxing of the blade in this video!! " Revell/Trumpeter High Quality Scraper". All the best !! Dusan
@@ScaleModelAircraft you're correct, I didn't watch it all, I shot my comment and got distracted! My bad, thank you very much! Your videos are the best produced I've seen, BTW.
Must have took you forever to mottle the camo, looks great!
what store do you go to?
Is the tail swastika absent because of your country's rules or UA-cam's regulations or...?
wow..
Well done.United States people.
Мечта..на пенсии займусь этим же
What is the scraper tool you are using?
Ah yes, Number 3 Plane to lose money in War Thunder
Can you do t-34-85 please
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Copout not to show the tail swastika; History HAPPENED and should not be erased, as it reminds us of book burnings to erase it.
He lives in Germany he’s not allowed to.
@@jonmurphy9424 idk for sure but I think that law is gone over there at least to an extent
The paintwork is outstanding ! I have always loved the Luftwaffe camouflage from circa 1942 onwards - those aircraft were works of art in themselves.
1. I'm in major envy of your hobby shop, I hope it it close to you. 2. Can't believe you were able to salvage those tires! 3. As always, stunning work, mottle camo in 1/72 is always a challenge! Thanks for the video!
Uh, this is just a local store that have a lot of new Revell kits,(Drogerie stores, Perfumes, Legos etc..) local hoby shop is even better 👌 the wheels took a lot of the time. Thank you very much !! Dusan.
@@ScaleModelAircraft where is the store
Fantastic model, some time ago I read a suggestion about the wings of bombers, to avoid that they eventually folds under their weight you can insert a metal rod between the fuselage and the wings(the diameter of the rod being the same of a modeler's round file)
Can you believe the German high command wanted this 4 engined (yes it has 4 engines and they are not radials) beast to dive bomb. And these things are big, Stick it next to a B-17 and see
Also last time I looked there are none of these planes left (flying or in museums) though there are suppose to be a few sunk in water in different places but no ones dragged one out so untill one gets pulled up and rebuilt its likely to remain that way
Yes, "Only 2 prop bombers allowed!!!" high Command .. ok ,lets try jamming 2 engines per prop .. FIRE! .. nope, didn't work. Imagine if common sense prevailed, 4 props, successful long range bomber .. and long range SUPPLY aircraft.
@@nnannbbh true the engines were based off 2 DB 601 and later 2 DB 605 engines mated together,.. but there was one huge flaw...the central exhaust...if grease and oil built up on it you got an engine fire (one of the bad reps this plane had was this problem)
@@RemusKingOfRome LOL your right in some ways (engine fires)...but not totally correct...part of the specifications the German high lunatics wanted was maneuverability and a 4 engined design would not be able to turn as quickly...also the cooling system was always an issue...the initial plan was to use a Surfave evaporation cooling system but was quickly realised the heat from the engines was to much so they went with regular radiators adding to the weight/drag issue
@@rongray8416 While I agree with most of what you said there, The Short Stirling sort of shoots a hole in your comment about 4 engined aircraft not being manueverable.
I remember building a model of one of these in about 1980. Might have been airfix. Quality was, um, well, not comparable...
I have that kit in my stash!
Yes, it was Airfix. I built the same kit. Not bad for its time.
Yeah, but they were cheaper than Matchbox. And they seemed to have more of a variety at that time (if I recall correctly). After school I used go to the various shops that had model departments in Amsterdam and drool over all of them. Once in a while I’d have enough money to buy one. What fun!
@@clacicle hi, would you be interested in buying some models from me?
I have a great collection I'm interested in selling.
@@juanmartinez5059 Aaaah! The kid in me would love to. But, I just don’t have the time or energy to devote to it anymore. I did this 40 years ago. I’m an old man now and have to work. I still collect coins though. Thanks for offering though.
Great job. Tail art needs a swastika though. Don’t bow to the tyrannical sensors.
19 minutes of pure art and inspiration, thanks!
I am always awed by your painting skills. Unbelievable.
nicely done! i have the earlier version of this kit in my stash, along with a big photo etch set i bought later, for the interior which on reflection i don't think you would really need given how good this kit looks oob, i did however buy a vac form canopy set, because the injection clear parts on mine were pretty terrible, something that judging by your kit has only been marginally improved, not good on a kit where a lot of glazing is one of its interesting features!
Same for me though I bought 2...1 is going to be OOB the other is getting the full photo etch treatment...I guess I got lucky because both kits have excellent clear canopies...Just got to get my backlog of kits out of the way first lol
I built this model back in the early 1970’s.
imagine this paintjob on the real plane :D must have taken days :D
I think if it’s like their tanks, they gave the ground crew several gallons of paint and said get on with it, do what you like.
😅
That turned out great as with all your builds....can't wait for the next one. Beautifully done.
What a great job! You made a jewel out of a diamond - i bow for you! I knew about the Fritz-X but not much about any aircraft to deploy it (and i am german) - the biggest model I did as a Kid was a FW109 1:32 also from Revell. As Nazi symbolism is forbidden here in Germany there were no decals for the rudder included - my mom painted them by hand claiming “otherwise it is not original!” 😅 Love her! Keep up your top notch work! 👍
Kudos to You!! I appreciate very much Your comment! Thank you very much!! Dusan
ScaleModelAircraft I love to watch your vision - precision - decision! 👍😉 have a nice WE!
Or a nice model out of the worst piece of junk in WW2.
Absolutly terrific build. So amazing. I will build the He 177 soon, but the MPM in 1/48
A really cool looking bomber! You did a fantastic job. I built this kit back in 1979 but it wasn't any way as detailed as this kit... Salute!
Thumbs down to your politically correct tail marking, why bother putting any marking on it and just display it as a aircraft just like any other aircraft like the wright flyer.
Thumb up 👍 for the comments but the law is the law. Simple as that.
This is amazing! The paint job and mottling is superb, I commend you on your patience with the model :)
The swastika on the tail being omitted is a grievous error, interfering with History in the way George Orwell's '1984' warned of; Airbrushing 'inconvenient details' from History is indeed a very slippery slope.
Does everything have to have an overly dramatic soundtrack? It’s a model airplane for Christ sake.
Youd make an amazing uncle lol, I'd sit there for hours with you making kits!
I just love watching the care and attention he pays to each part of the process. Pure craftsmanship.
This is a beautifully done model of a very unique German bomber. Sadly, the Heinkel 177 was used in all the wrong ways. It was originally intended as a strategic bomber, where it would have excelled. But it was over developed into a dive bomber, where it failed. One major problem was too much wing load for a design this size. Even the Ju-87 Stuka had to pull out of dives carefully. Another blunder was coupling two Daimler-Benz engines around one crankshaft, thus making a twenty-four cylinder engine that constantly overheated. The British had the same problem with the Avro Manchester, but they learned, and created a standard four engine bomber, with the Avro Lancaster. Great build!
Beautiful indeed, although for a strategic bomber, two engines are a bit too little. I don't know what range he had with the bombs.
And how do you rate the polish PZL.37 Łoś (Elch - Moose)?
They called it burning coffin of one-way bomber.
That free hand camouflage unbelievable
Another gem thank you
Amazing build, not often you see he-177 builds, and nice touch with the FritzX guided bombs
Brilliant work. Excellent control of the airbrush during the (long) mottling process. Appreciate the tips throughout. Thanks for taking time to do this; doesn't happen by itself.
Tyskarna va inte så dumma. Dom hade många projekt i slutet av kriget.
Really enjoy all your builds, learn something new every time. This aircraft is not the best looking German aircraft, but your skills actually produced a beautiful bomber. Just an all around excellent build.
You tried hard, but nonetheless there are some faults of the kit you either didn't notice or simply ignored. One such mistake is, that the A-5 variant (your model) had a different type of aileron, compared to the A-3. The A-3 had mechanically very complex Fowlers, which could be used either as normal ailerons or as landing-flaps. A charateristic feature are the spike-shaped fairings for the guide-rails, protruding from the trailing edge of the ailerons. This feature makes it easy to differentiate between the A-3 and the A-5. The A-5 had more conventional slotted ailerons with external mass-balances. Between the aileron and the wing there was a clearly visible gap, insofar the ailerons of the kit are wrong.
Yes! That's is just the tip of the iceberg! I can write at least 7! mistakes here and there, not so small at all, including the marking options for A-3 and A-5, that's why I have used the old ones. Wrong position of panels, windows shapes, rounded not flat! Researching my plans and documentation fot the kit I got the assumption that I could use it for a completely new tool 1/48 kit to test the "Kawaguchi". That's why I didn't bother at all to correct someone else's faults, the kit is highly recommended for a shelf for sure👌
Thanks for the comments like this!! All the best! Dusan.
It is very sad that this Aircraft is not avialbe in a bigger Scale.Because it is absolutly beautyful. The Nickname of this Aircraft was "Reichsfeuerzeug" because the Engunes catching fire very quickly
Special Hobby?
Revell models run the spectrum from okay to really really sucking. I've had okay and horrible experiences. I think Tamiya models are a lot better.
You do amazing work on all your models. What kind of camera do you use.
i like your tools too man, not to even mention build 🤩
That is wild, do you freehand all that detail. It is a fantastic build
He 177 was always a fascinating looking bird. Great build and paint job.
Absolutely exquisite modeling!!!
(The HE-177, and it's ordinance, had really advanced technology for it's time).
Thanks for sharing.
In my humble opinion the most beautifull plane ever made.
Simply incredible work. Precision without over complicating things. Very impressive, Sir!
this is crazy, I was just looking at this on ebay
Jake Curtis that’s google for ya
Cooper Ray Google uber alles
the matrix.
Had one of these when I was a boy.
So amazing, already watches your build several times.
One question I have, how do you do your antenas and what do you use? Many thanks
Thanks!! Something like e-z lines, sometimes I also use the old methods like stretched sprue. All the best! Dusan
Another brilliant model 😀👍
Your paint job and weathering are OUTSTANDING!
Very nice build 👍 , and the cockpit detail is pretty decent for this scale
I love watching these videos and I love the aircraft especially the German ones, the only thing that annoys me is as good as you are and as good as the kits are and as authentic as you make them look it winds me up when with all the German kits there’s no swashtikas!! There should be the nazi symbol on the tails and you don’t see them for me this ruins the model! Love ya vids tho mate good work. 👍🏻
Probably legal reasons for this and considerations for certain markets like Germany.
If you really want a swastika on your model you could always paint it on?
*He 177 Operations in Russia*
The end of He l 77 operations in the West was by no means the end of the He 177 in Luftwaffe service. During the late spring of 1944, Kampfgeschwader l under Obstlt Horst van Riesen began converting to the aircraft, the first Gruppe moving to its operational airfields in East Prussia in May. Before the end of the month, 1./KG 1 was joined by II and III. Gruppe, and the Geschwader now comprised some ninety He l 77As, undoubtedly the most powerful striking force on the Eastern Front.
Operations began almost at once, the bombers striking at troop concentrations and Soviet supply centres in support of the German army. No attempt was made to strike at strategic targets although many were within range. The bombers attacked in daylight at about 6,000 m (20,000 ft) and losses were very low. The few Soviet fighters that managed to reach the bombers' attacking altitude rarely pressed home their attacks because of the formidable defensive armament of the He 177. Also, very few He 177s were lost because of engine fires; constant modifications had ensured that troubles suffered by the coupled engine installation were reduced to a minimum. The machines that did crash due to this cause were mainly those flown by inexperienced pilots who mishandled the throttles, causing the engines to overheat.
At one time, KG 1 made several pattern bombing attacks, the only time such tactics were employed by the Luftwaffe. During one such operation, von Riesen led 87 bombers in a mass attack on the railway centre of Velikye Luki. Flying in three waves, each comprising a Gruppe of some 30 aircraft, the He 177s must have been a most impressive sight.

Ok apparently the word $w@stik@ is censored on this channel, l find this really odd that a historical model making platform can 'airbrush' this out of the comments...all that marvellous effort to build the model and you cannot even query why there is insignia obviously missing off the tail
I am writing this again and again! Video will not be visible or flagged in my country and few others if I use that symbol, I know it's a part of history etc. It's the law simple as that.
@@ScaleModelAircraft thanks for your response👍it seems a frustrating issue...the red star one could reasonably argue has caused more misery than the swastika, but there is no issue with Soviet insignia 🤔
I'm in awe of your talent and ability, just incredible work, you take a brilliant kit,and turn it up to 11! You are an artist 👍
By the way, I have never seen or expected that Tommy would give a good, correct and objective report about the Germans... and that is something that can be seen again and again. Of course, that is understandable, who glorifies the enemy? And apart from bad and negative statements, nothing else has been said about the Germans since the last war. I keep asking myself why, as an English historian, I have to portray the Germans in public in certain reports. The only understandable motivation is the negative result. The Nazis were the bad guys and England was on the side of the so-called good guys and saved the world and Europe from Nazi rule for freedom... Lol, that is one of the biggest lies that has ever been told! And to be honest, it was England, France and America who, after 1945, wasted no time pursuing their own interests and wars in the world. That was a very nice experience for the people in the countries that found themselves in the British Commonwealth without being asked. Whether in Asia, Africa or the Middle East. The world should recover under the freedom of the Commonwealth... just like the French and Americans did. It's all ridiculous, but it happened. And now it's happening again in Ukraine 🇺🇦. I think we all know what's behind it! Ukraine has certain parallels to the way the Germans were treated in the 1930s and their fight against the so-called Treaty of Versailles and the associated destruction of the German Empire... That was without a doubt the only reason for World War II. By the way, anyone who knows Churchill's significant statements about Germany in the 1930s knows the truth of the whole story. And the moral of the story is that England has always known in the past how to get rid of its unpopular economic and political opponents! The First World War was not a random event but a well-prepared and planned operation. I don't think there's any denying what was going on there. Or would someone else like to say it and discuss with me what the politics were like or what the historical facts and events were? Regards Magnus
Simply stunning, the skill and patience involved unbelievable, well done.
Impressed by your work - like many I made Airfix and Revell etc. models in my youth (1970s) but the efforts were never as good. I don't remember airbrushes being around, and might have found them too expensive for me. So basically it was paintbrushes.
I am building this model and I would like to report some problems :
A) piece G11 must be glued close to where piece G13 is located ( the red arrows shows an anclear position! see step 5 and more step 7) .If not done piece G7 does not fit in.
B) Pieces E21 and E 19 should be later set up , just when the entire cockpit is finished and assembled into the fuselage. These pieces must be glued just a little sideways to avoid contact with glass E27
C) Step 16 .The machine gun needs to be glued not that way, whereas the reverse is true
D) Step 19 Piece I 57B must be glued into piece I 57A not 90° ( right angle ) but approx. 70° otherwise the end side of the fuselage does not fit and let 2mm gap. Make a dry-fit before to ensure
E) Step 55 and 56 Wings. To be mounted ( see step 58 ) reverse. That means finished piece 56 goes to the left and 55 to the right (this one upside down) . Plaster one little hole ( where piece F97 is mounted)
F) Landing gears Step 47 and 48 . To be mounted not as shown in steps 49-50 , but this way: Step 49=47+47. Step 50= 48+48 ( Cut off the tip of all pieces numbered F89 before assembling)
Even though you had issues with that kit, you made it look good. To the majority of people that would look at it they would say it's amazing. Only modellers like us look at it and see what could be better. It's just part of it. We definitely appreciate the time and effort you put in to your builds. Thanks for sharing this with us and keep it up 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice build! I'm just thinking if the panel lines are too big and wide, they can probably be made to look thinner by using a medium grey accent paint instead of black.
That I was thinking but the contrast was to low, the panel lines are much more subtle in person than in the video. Thanks! All the best! Dusan.
This was futuristic -for WW2 . Lovely looking aircraft , I remember building an Airfix one about 45 years ago ! Does anyone check if the wings are level when they have glued them on ?? In my experience - they won't be !! , you can use several LEGO bricks to chock the wingtips up to get them equal , set dihedral etc . Wales UK.
Hey Fred, yes i first built this Airfix 177 in 1969, was a 11 year old just getting started, my wings dropped !
but i built many more and added much detail to them later, it was pretty good for 1968 but still had flaws galore.
love the Revell kit!
@@1014kerry Well done Kerry - keep on building ! 😍😍
A very beautiful model! I think it's flawless, except for the political correctness issue, which I understand. Will Revell ever make a BV238 six engine floatplane. (They did make a BV222)
Being italian I hearthly hate FRITZ X. They sank (launched by a DO217) our Battleship Roma, with great loss of life. One Italy's WW2 worst days, together with Matapan night
Hey Scalemodelaictraft, please recording a full build Revell 1/144 f 18 super Hornet. I'm from Prague. Please. Thank you Scalemodelaictraft.
Oh dear oh dear. Seem to be watching more of these sort of things. I'm NOT going to fill up the bedroom with planes again. I'm not. Revell kits were good though weren't they? Airfix tended to have mould issues.Oh dear oh dear. Never did get EVERY variant of the Ju 88........
Very beautiful work! The bomber itself was a flying deathtrap, notorious reputation between Luftwaffe-personell, and even Hitler said once that he might had lost the war because of this expensive and unreliable airplane. During the Nurnberg-trials after the war, Göring noted that the airplane was a big mistake, undermining the rest of the Luftwaffe.
Grsn trabajo. Felicitaciones. Yo compre ese kit ayer... Ojala me quede siquiera parecido al suyo
I tried putting together a B110 Messerschmitt by Revell. I used half a tube of putty before I just scrapped the whole thing. I'm afraid to buy another Revell product ever again.
Will you pleasee do modern jets again, no offense but im getting kind of tired of these ww2 era planes
I am building a bf 109 g10 right now, your video has inspired me :)
Oh dear! I have/had this one...SHE looks VERY bad now :-(
I was 13! = NO priming and/or airbrushing..etc.
Beautiful, you’re an artist. Thanks for the great tips esp the very low air pressure and thinning ratios, I think you’ve solved my problem with the airbrush. Sad you had to cover the decals on the vertical stabiliser at the end. It’s part of history for gods sake.
Thank you very much! About the tail, due to the law I have to cover it. Even the video can't be visible because of this insignia in some countries. All the best! Dusan.
@@ScaleModelAircraft Was wondering if it came with the censored 'symbol' decals???? ✈️
@Stanley Jedrzejczyk Spoken like a true Nazi...
There have been some bad aircraft designs over the years but the He-177 takes the cake for being the worst military aircraft to go into production. Unstable flying characteristics, horrible engine arrangement, horrible at dive-bombing (which it was designed to do) and prone to engine fires. Even the one that shall not be named that starts with the letter H hated it. Anyways great work. It may not have done its job very well but I do like the look of it
A thing of beauty! I am now too old, and I doubt if my arthritic fingers could even open the box...but I am just (relatively) happy to watch skills like this.
