- This video is about how i passed my TSI EXAM AFTER FAILING 3 TIMES! I AM ON MY LPN TO RN JOURNEY AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING. I FAILED THE READING ONCE AND FAILED THE MATH 2 TIMES. ENJOY.
I failed my tsi reading four times already. I was off by one point the second time, and I’m so exhausted.. Update: I passed with a 363 today! Finally! God is good!

Could you tell me your tips I still haven’t been able to pass mine even though I retried it 3 times
lalaluca ok for sure I passed on the 5th try. Basically make sure your concentrated 100%, read the passages/paragraphs until you understand them, do the practice tsi, watch a video over reading comprehension, go with your gut, and take notes of what you read if ya want (summarize). You got this! I believe you can do this!
I’ve always wasn’t good at reading comprehension, but when I did this, I passed!

I commend you for never giving up. It’s ok not to pass a test but the important thing is you kept going. Nursing school goes by so fast before you know it you will be done. It went by fast for me away. I’m excited to go back, I have to get ready mentally because I could remember the times when I use to cry and stay up all night and every move I made my book or study notes was stuck with me at all times because I felt like if I slack off studying I was going to fail. For me, the first 25 questions are the main test. if you fail you have to take the additional 48 which is how they tell you to improve. So if you pass the first 25 questions it skips the 48.

😊 taking this opportunity to assure you that I ended up understanding why you used “residents” in your psych patients video. Also wanted to make sure you know that I thought you sounded like the kind of person we need working in psych. I’ve dealt with a number of psych staff who made me feel worse about myself but you don’t seem like that kind of person. I also now understand what that video was specifically about. My school is saying you have to get a 950 to pass the TSI . I took it the first time in April I got a 932 on my math and 929 on my English and today I have to retake them and I am so scared I just want to pass it and forget about it . Idk why Texas is doing to much cause I though u have to get Luke a 300 or so to pass
That was the original tsi, they updated it this year. the test is now called TSIA2. I'm also taking the math tomorrow.

I failed the ELAR MC part of the test 7 times and I can not pass it. I am an A student and tomorrow will be my 8th time taking it. I just needed one question to pass this stupid test. I am losing my confidence more and more every time I fail it. I fell like I have lost myself and I am doubting everything about myself. I just feel so emotionally drained and I don't know if I should continue taking it until I pass, or if I should continue with my plan of taking AP. But I feel like if I give up I will feel like a failure, but if I continue taking, I keep getting deeper and deeper broken apart.
I’m so sorry you feel that way- I know how it feels to try at something over and over again and not get the results you want. you can keep studying until you pass but also remember taking the class itself is not the end of the world. Time will pass by anyway. But since you only miss by one point I would definitely try again

@@hozaifawan8482 hey! No question is a dumb question, but im not to sure about a formula sheet, i recommend if you come across a problem with a formula when studying to write them all down in one sheet than make sure to go over them and memorize them before the test

@@hozaifawan8482 There's no formula sheet for the math section. As Mrs. Kimmy said, write them down on one sheet when you come across them studying and memorize them. It really does help. For the writing section... there's revising questions. The essay is separate.
Can you still register for classes if you don't pass?
Yes you can it will just be at a lower level until you work up to a higher one
Is the tsi and the tsia2 the same? I took the tsia2 and I got at 944 you need a 945 (reading and Elar) and for math, I got a 932 and the passing score is a 950
update I passed the reading and writing apparently! But it is just the math section I need to worry about. Honestly, I have been putting it off for the past couple of months. I take it again on the 29th of November!

@@moonshrestha6511 I went on accuplacer and studied some passages . The formats were very similar to the test . But I am a strong reader and writer. I got a 8 for the writing portion , just because I write and journal everyday so that was a breeze. But I recommend going on practice sites and gaining familiarity of the passages .
@@moonshrestha6511 I reccomemd you use accuplacer , I took the tsi / tsia2 (they are the same) but I studied and got reading and writing out of the way ., I am a strong writer so I got an 8, and for the reading I passed on the first go . I reccomend you study the passages and get an idea of what it's like, when I took mine it was very similar. On top of that I do lots of reading and writing. If you can tyr looking up some tsi courses.
For the math I'm not slow or anyhting but it's just that I need a refresher I am aware o the stuff but it is just solving it that I need to work on.

how hard was it?
UniversalShot20 it was easier than expected. Probably 6/10 difficulty, I’d advise you to find study tools online for the math portion and try to solve the problems without using a calculator. During the TSI they give you the formulas for the questions so don’t worry too much about formulas.
And on the other portions I’m sure you’ll do just fine maybe practice writing 300-600 word essays and your grammar, punctuation, spelling and simple stuff like that. Wish u the best of luck
@@h.e6604 Yeah, I just took and did pretty well on everything but the math part. First 20 questions hit me like a truck... The next 40 were pretty easy.

@@spicyelcomo2334 for the reading its just normal questions and nothing rlly that difficult but take ur time since it’s kind off a lot of reading. And for the writing part make sure you do paragraphs and also lets say for example, the word limit is 700 make sure you try to get to 600-640 because it makes your chance of passing higher! And for me the first part was reading but it was probably like 20-30 questions, and then the last part was the writing.

I passed my math TSI the first time with a score of 966 and im in 8th grade.
I heard the math tsi is not hard. the only one that may be challenging is really the writing essay. The Reading tsi is not that hard too.
