    Very nice unit, but need an updated app like the Mobile Remote.
    I would like to see in the next firmware update also the option of a countdown in time exposure mode.

      @@MIOPS Do you think in the future it could transfers images instantly from your camera to a phone, tablet . Control advanced camera settings including focus points, exposure, View your images on a larger screen to check critical focus and composition, or use Live View or movie mode for real-time capture. I have a 50D a 5D mark ii plus an ipad pro that i would love to use with this,thanks.

    Good video
    Isn't there a problem with the distance between the BT camera and the trigger?
    How far away can it trigger?

      I watched the review again to refresh my memory and I still think it's pretty good. All depends on your creativity I guess. Read some of the comments for feedback from others and check other reviews but yes, if you set it up right, it can be a lot of fun.

    The Miops does not work with the flash, they are out of sync, the only way to sync is to set the shutter speed to a couple of seconds to allow flash trigger to sync.

    Is it still worth it in 2023 or is there something better which is more than a trigger?
    Most cameras now have their own apps that could do most of this stuff, isn't it?

    • @NickStubbs
      @NickStubbs  Рік тому

      I'm not sure of any alternatives and yes, many modern cameras have certain features such as time lapse that would give the MIOPS a run for its money. However, you may struggle to find cameras capable of triggering via laser or sound for example.

  • @whipworks4468

    It is a decidedly below average lightning trigger with my. 5D MK V. Very very dissatisfied with the performance. In other categories it’s performance is ok. But I would not recommend it for lightning photography

    Is it possible to use the Miops Smart+ for automatic continuous high speed shooting? = setting a delay, hitting the button in the app and the camera will shoot 20 images in high speed mode? Maybe also with a 10 seconds pause afterwards and that it will start again? So without holding my finger on the button (only once, to start the session)? Thanks for your help!

    Hey Nick, any idea if your phone's bluetooth needs to stay within range the entire time after you've set up, for example, a time lapse from it? What if you set a time lapse for an 8 hour period but your phone leaves bluetooth range or your phone battery dies?

    So, Nick it has to be continually interrupted by what ever inorder to take multiple shots( most of what I see is usually going in one direction and not ‘back-and-forth’).......Flashes also? What if your camera is set to taken multiple images per click and a stroboscopic fash is set up and once triggered it goes to some preselected number of images recordered for some specific amount of shutter opening. Is this possibles?
