I started playing this 13 card pocker since 2001 to 2005 and didn't play again til now 2019 lol this game got popular with the Android apps too so wow big thanks for keeping the game alive.
It’s called pipito Filipino game..we play 4 players then one is the banker he covers the other 3 hands..we play it twice a week we play $20 $100 a hand keep it friendly
Scoring is so complicated.. why not just compare all four top, middle, and bottom cards? Best one of each gets a point. Player one wins top hand; player one wins middle hand; player 3 wins bottom hand. Score: 2-1-0-0. The end.
In a full game of four people, a person is basically playing against three other players. Based on your method, assuming there is no tie, a person who wins the top gets 3 units, one from each player. However, based on the rule of the game, the losers can still win and recover their losses. For example, Player B, C and D, all lost to Player A. However, Player B's hand can still come out on top if his hand is better than C and D. Player B lost one unit to Play A, but he won 2 units, one from Player C and Player D.
There is an extra thing for showdown: 1.If the hand you win the other player, and the hand is at least: top hand:three of a kind(衝三) middle hand:full house bottom hand:four of a kind Then you would win/lose extra points 2.if one of the player wins the all others, then it calls "home run", and would win/lose extra points.
Huh, I thought you had five cards and draw to five at the end of of each street or until you're done. This method's okay but kind of awkward. I would have counted the score by applying the lowest scoring hands versus each other, then the second level hands are scored and added, then the last hands are scored rather than this left-right, clockwise weirdness.
What happens if the top hand in the equal for 2 players ? Player 1 has K 7 8 in Top hand and Player 2 has K 7 8 also and what happens if player 2 has K 7 6 ?
@@Gio_Hb Those cases are very rare, but they would tie. If ties aren't done for some reason, the suit is used, and it's ranked Spades, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds (clubs are not lowest rank in this game). K76 would lose to K87.
@@natejt I'm pretty sure you're both underestimating this game. On what grounds is this game "theoretically" all luck? What are the optimal three hands for any combination of thirteen cards? Make your bottom hand a full-house, then you lose a pair and three of a kind; make it a straight it loses to someone else's full-house. So, you have to consider how the other players are building their hands, and what hands are left to be built. It's a different kind of skill than you'll find in Texas hold'em, but it's not luck. Have you heard of the prisoner's dilemma?

Exactly what I was thinking. The scoring is way too complicated and can create a lot of headaches
Stupidass comment

Who the hell would play this? It's way too complicated. I'll stick with 5 card draw
But five card draw is all luck
No strategy, all luck. Boring
Theoretically yes, but novice players won’t always make the optimal hands making it a fun choice for beginners

It is not all luck, it's a game of subtlety. I've been playing for 10 years and still have not mastered it, but I'm close.

@@narsheinn8817 Sounds good, but I'm not sure how I would be able to play it.
