Riding Behind NKP 765 - NS Employee Appreciation Special

Norfolk Southern's 21st Century Steam program brought plenty of railfans out to the Harrisburg area during the weekend of August 18, and 19 to see the beauty of steam grace mainline rails again. The decision to go out and film the train was a no-brainer, this was a once in a lifetime chance to see this legendary steamer running. We arrived on Sunday to film the two runs out of Enola. The plan was altered as we had seen a friend of ours in the Norfolk Southern Enola Yard parking lot, after getting permission to enter the yard simply to take stills of NKP 765, an offer was made to us to ride the 12:00 trip out of Enola. Please enjoy as our ride onboard takes you over the Rockville Bridge, through the Amtrak Harrisburg Station, and many other scenic highlights along the way.

Amazing footage Steve, I like the shot on the Rockville bridge. It's good to know that Norfolk Southern ran this excursion. Apperently the NKP only had 11 copies of this S2 2-8-4 that were built during WW2, isn't that something.

How'd you get to film in the vestibule?? I rode one of the trips at Conway and was told we couldn't stand.....
