NS Pittsburgh Line Highlights: Rare Locomotives and More - November 2012

In our most recent trip out to Altoona, PA and the surrounding area saw quite an array of unique brought to us by NS. In an effort to keep things interesting we will only be using the best trains and locations from the trip. This video will feature everything from the Monongahela Heritage Unit, to foreign power in the form of Union Pacific, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, and Canadian National (Illinois Central), to an FRA inspection car and much more!
As is tradition we stayed at The Tunnels Inn located in Gallitzin, PA so a majority of the trains seen in this video were filmed there, however other popular spots such as Tipton, Tyrone, Lilly, and Altoona will be seen in this video. Overall we had a really good time out in Altoona and hope you enjoy this video documenting the trains we saw.

Thanks man! The NS SD80MAC's rarely see any other duty than the local coal trains in PA. Luckily UP runs those SD90/43MAC's which are always cool to see!

Norfolk Southern needs create another Heritage Unit with With 30th Anniversary on Both sides of the engine. Like NS 9250 at 4:37.
