In direct contrast to last session, where I was stopped after 7 exposures, this night went much better! - I was hindered by some local conditions, as you'll see - but on the whole I am finally happy with my capture of M51 (for now!)

Living in Arizona we had a lot of fires this summer. The difference between that and when they’re gone is significant. Definitely effects transparency and “seeing”

Wow so inspired you can achieve this from such a light polluted area. Even when people probably try burn thier rubbish while everyone's asleep. Next time ring 999 and you think it's a house fire, it will get extinguished or the owner will get dragged out of bed. You can't leave a fire unattended. Cheers from Steve ex firefighter.

what focal length is this at, looks like you got an incredible amount of detail compared to when I shot it at 500mm, subscribed.

@@lukomatico just since your an astro youtuber im gonna ask, do you have any idea of any places that ship to USA that could have an eq6 r pro in stock? I’ve been looking all over for one and it seems to be backordered until AUGUST and I can’t wait that long. All I have at the moment is a skyguider pro which does the job but I’m moving beyond its limits and it can be a hassle sometimes to get enough data with no star trail. Clear skies mate.

There seems to be a world shortage although OPT seem to have some things in stock. I gave up waiting for my scope and mount last year and got one secondhand instead.

What was the smoke coming from? Someone just being obnoxious? Wow here in America if neighbors saw smoke like that the police would investigate. Clearer Skies Brother….
