Awesome video man, those dec’s look great with that coal train, and the bureau of mines passengers at the end are a nice touch. Great layout to with the action.
I have 2 with the coast to coast tenders. After watching the video (several times) I felt compelled to get 2 more with the short tenders. Looking forward after the holidays are over to getting them out.
OMG , that's awesome , you are going to love them . My buddy (Chris's Trains and Things ) had these for the last week and he is releasing his video of them plus his short haul this Saturday . My problem now is neglecting all the other stuff that also came in around this same time bc these are just amazing as you already know . Again thank you greatly for watching and I'll be sure to check out your channel as well .
Well I want to Thank you and your son greatly . The layout is the Lower Susquehanna Valley Modular Railroaders club . We have been very busy upgrading the room itself and the lighting over the last year . If you watch some of my earlier videos you will see how dingy and dark the room walls and lighting were . Hopefully you guys can enjoy future videos on my channel . Thanks for watching
This looks fantastic! My favorite train, the ore train, because I grew up in Mt. Carmel where it ran. These look weathered, are they? If so, how did you do it? Spray, dies, powders?
I thank you very much . No these are not weathered , engines or cars everything in this video is right out of the box except for swapping pilot couplers on 3 engines . I have not brought myself to terms with weathering yet , not going to lie but I'm still scared I'll mess up .
Yes it did , it's in New York and Lionel made that the engine they put in the Iron Hippo set number 4483 . It is the last engine in the consist of these videos , with its short haul tender
No Lionel didn't screw up , I did , I prefer the sound of this whistle over the banshee as my J1a uses the banshee also so i was tired of hearing that one . So I have it set for this one just as a personal preference . Lionel put 5 whistle options on this engine , I have another video displaying all 5 on these as well as the 5 on the Mikados .
They give you 5 whistles to choose from. The default is the single note banshee. The passenger whistles actually became quite common on the I1 in the later years.
