In this video I get the decking glued down and the grab bar fitted. The boys and I take the boat out for a little test run on the lake and we catch a few fish. Next up we will be trying to find a motor for the jon boat that fits into the budget theme of the boat.

Nice boat the boys will love it. Mine has a 40 on the front,two swivel boat seats and batt.and a 5hp 1970 Eska under a 1000 you can’t get life any better. Enjoy

Yes for a cheap boat it’s very stable, I actually took both my sons and their friend out on the river this evening in it with no problems! I’ll drop a video of it on the river soon.

Looking to get this same boat I live in Florida. Do you think I could take it out in saltwater?

I have used this boat in saltwater a few times. Its very stable for such a small boat. Just be cautious of your tidal and wave conditions. Ive had it in 2 to 3 foot swells and it was little dicey. But in the intercostal and lagoon areas of south Florida its a great little boat for the money.

That is a SeaDek 36in ruler. You can get them from Seadek in many different colors and patterns and they can also be used for a hook pad. You can also find off brand versions on Amazon
