  • The Galapagos was Darwin's laboratory for the study of the origins of life. See the amazing creatures he studied in 1835 - giant tortoises, sea turtles, flightless cormorants, iguanas, and penguins.

    But let's consider the situation you brought up:
    Someone is an Atheist (or Theist... it doesn't really matter for this situation), and they are in trouble. Suddenly they ask God for help, and then they make it through.
    And what about all the times people ask God for help and don't make it through? It's called confirmation bias... people remember the "hits" and forget the "misses."
    I'm saying remember the misses. How often do ppl get in trouble, pray to God, and get SQUAT?

    and my point is simple i dont want it complex.. In context all i said is, Be nice, treat Humanity (not literally just people but the whole existence, beyond race etc) equally, setting aside religion(since the guys argument is based on religion). Man if we continue this endless argument about this "stuff" in the end we'll be like.. "dude why are we arguing.... blah.. i cant even remember... GROUP HUG!!" ROFLMAO

    ohnzee,
    Your original argument in this thread only proves that under stress, people can lose the ability to reason and resort to what's COMFORTABLE and REASSURING. Not what makes most sense.
    And you're missing 2 important parts of your argument:
    1) The number of people in dire circumstances who suddenly turn to God and STILL END UP FUCKED
    2) The number of people in dire circumstances who DON'T turn to God, and STILL get out just fine.
    You ignored those inconvenient possibilities.

  • @ohnzee
    @ohnzee 15 років тому

    Many people have said that,, atheists, anti Christs, satanist and such.. but notice one thing, when they're on a brink of disaster and survived to tell their story what do they always say?.... "I never believed in God/Christ but on that moment, I prayed for the first time and asked Him to please save me.." many of us condemn Him and his Existence.. its your prerogative. I think as long as you help Humanity and treat everyone as equal etc... it doesn't matter if you believe in Him or not..

  • @ohnzee
    @ohnzee 15 років тому

    Yes misses do happen but so do the Hits, my comment looked biased because its short and I really didn't chose to mention what you said i didn't mention.. simply because its effin tiresome to explain and shit. I hope you get me.. coz if were talkin in person im sure i can explain my self much better.... stuff making a fuzz about what i said , because I cant really understand you anymore.. are you a professor?
