It's baffling to me. I have never left my keys in even an EMPTY car let alone one with a child in it! If you can't or don't want to take your child with you wherever you're going, then go another time, or make other arrangements for the kids to be safe.
My 7 year old isrd to complain about me "dragging him in" everywhere. He got used to it, and now enjoys it. It's moments like that story in the video that remind me why I just don't fucking leave him alone in the car. Period. Running or not.
I want to say im proud of the people in this video who chose not to be bystanders and called the police, took the info and shared it because situations like this can literally be life and death... I follow a lot of podcasts and true crime youtubes, notably two, one called suffer the little children and the other called the misery machine. They both say in almost every video "if you see something, say something" and it couldn't be more true
@@tablescissors67 Ikr, like fuck being accused of being a karen! Who cares if could potentially save someones life? There is a significant difference between being a Karen and being concerned.
There is no comparison between reporting a real crime and being a damn Karen. You see obvious neglect and/or abuse, or a kidnapping you call someone in authority who can do something ASAP. That's it.
I’d seen the clip of the cult members, ya know, the ones dressed up like Victorian dolls from 1865, before this video, but it never ceases to shock me. Carrying children around in a trailer designed for furniture, whom you plan to brain wash/molest/ and subsequently ‘marry’ 🤮, is just insane. It’s easily one of the most disturbing body cam videos I’ve ever seen despite it not being gory or ‘crazy’ to the untrained eye. That older female attempting to cover for the man, shows just how mind-fcked these women were at that point. The silence of the younger children is DEAFENING. that’s all the proof I need, as everyone knows children that age don’t just stay quiet & completely motionless unless explicitly told to do so…
He went to jail without a bond. The older women bonded out. The kids went to several different foster homes. The kids began to share some details like him taking them to sleep with him. He replaced Warran Jeffs. 32:23 they mentioned “what happened in 2008”. That was the raid on Jeffs compound where they found teens impregnated by him and other elderly men. After the woman bonded out he had told them over jail calls to kidnap the girls. They got all, but one who refused to go. They got a call from him while they were driving to a hideout. Unfortunately for them they used Airbnb who fully cooperated to find one of the women used her credit card to book. Now they will be doing some hard time if the courts aren’t super biased and in this case I doubt they will get out anytime soon. I hope those women had their bond revoked. I grew up in the church. So glad I was given a choice and ran.
Well, they're all told from birth that all law enforcement and government agencies hate them and are trying to wipe them out completely. So yeah, the kids especially are afraid to talk to police at all. Many of these people, even some of the older ones, have no real idea of the world outside of their group. They aren't exposed to any newspapers or books or anything that might let them know that there's choices outside. They're told that they have to live that way to get to heaven, where they'll be rewarded forever. They don't know any different to be like "this isn't ok" because they don't know that things happen any other way. And the stuff they are aware of, they just believe that it's everyone else outside the group and that of course it's no good and evil because even the average citizen wants to see them suffer. The crap that Jeffs fed them when he was arrested- "I told you all I'd be persecuted by the government that hates us and I was right! This is because they hate us and how we live and want to see us gone!"
That's the issue with manipulative cults. You must force them to leave because THEY WILL go back. When they are safe, they need to be deprogrammed, to accept what happened is wrong. It's sick as hell society just allows kids to be born into these twisted sects.
That neighbor is the man!!! True hero. Called the police, followed them to get the license plate and to notify the police where the kidnappers had gone. God bless him!

Poor Jane, pulled out of a vehicle, unchained, then left to stand alone while cops just stare at her. No compassion or human touch to convey feelings. Yeah, they saved her, and I hope to hell the ex got a good 20+ years. She is a strong woman, offering to allow them to photograph and video her in those conditions. Most women would be a blubbering pile of tears. Not one man offered her a shoulder to hold or compassion. You guys did good, but you can get better.

The cop questing the kids in the car need better training. They are clearly scared. Rather then telling them not to give him "lip" he should be telling them they are not in trouble and earn their trust. This is pervasive problem cops treating the public often victim as an inconvenience. This view of the public as an inconvenience to police leads to disastrous sometime fatal situations that are avoidable.
It is called grooming. This is not how you handle victims of grooming. If you take the case of the Rotherham grooming gangs this is exactly the kind of attitude that let to victims not being listened to and key evidence missed. Poor training.
They probably don't know there's kids in the cars. Doesn't make sense to steal a car with kids in it. I'm sure it does happen where they know there are kids in the car they're about to take. But I bet most times they don't look or notice kids inside before they hop in and drive away. The prison time is 5 times higher for taking a car with a kid in it
All woman that think they can live alone deserve that outcome woman need to respect all men for being powerful and a stronger creature than you and have a man by your side
Seeing the poor woman that was kidnapped and chained brought tears to my eyes. Thank goodness the neighbor was quick to act and get her help. G-d bless him.
The cop dealing with the unzipped pervert and the underage kids in the back seat should really learn how to show compassion. I highly doubt they all wanted to be there and who knows what was done to them or how brainwashed they'd been. Don't need to be so harsh to the potential victims!!
Could have asked them to tell the truth and not be scared instead of speaking so harshly. Something like "I know you might be afraid, but we're the cops, and you need to tell us the truth so we can help you" would have worked way better. It doesn't matter if they went with him willingly, they might have been groomed or brainwashed.
@@lightdarksoul2097they were probably scared. his approach did work in making Them Tell the truth, but he could have tried a more empathetic approach first. it might have worked, and would have left the victims Feeling safer
With the drunk driver Jeremy the officer was being such an unsympathetic prick to the kids who were kidnapped. He said himself he knew they were under 18, yet they chastised them. They did their job in getting them out, but giving a bunch of 14 year old - real victims - is disgusting.
number 2: I heard about one before that had a better ending. Kidnapper saw a car, jumped in, hot wired it, and took off. Returned 5 minutes later, yelled at the car's owner because she left her infant in the car on a hot summer day. then HE called the cops on HER. Iirc, he was arrested for auto theft. she was arrested for child neglect, child endangerment, child abuse, etc. the abuse was eventually dropped, and his sentence was reduced to like, misdemeanor theft, or something. because 1, he brought it back, and 2, he saved the child's life. another one, the carjacker helped her unload groceries, setting them on the porch. he then pulled her child from the car and placed him next to the groceries. then he hopped in and took off.
I was almost kidnapped when I was 3 back in 1985, by some creep saying he was my uncle then my dad’s friend. Thankfully someone came along that was a close family friend at just the right time and saved me and the guy fled. Otherwise I might not be here
Yeah for me I was walking home from school using a dirt path behind houses and a white van pulled up fast on the road that connected to the path and the man desperately said "hey hey hey, want candy? Huh? Want candy?" I began walking faster then some men jumped out and chased after me, I immediately ran, but they didn't know that I knew how to jump fences, I liked to climb as a little kid, so I always did it on the chain fence at home, so I jumped fence after fence after fence running through people's yards then I hid close to the front door under the patio and watched the van speed off then ran inside fast. I was about 7yrs to 8yrs old at the time. I kept crying when I had to leave the house, the thing was that I was inaudible at the time because of a speech disorder, so I couldn't speak, but somehow I made it out of there without needing to
I also was nearly kidnapped, I was 6 year old. I was going to the store in our village one evening and a white car was driving next to me as slow as I was walking and the man in the car was pretending to reading the news paper while driving and everytime he thought that I wasn't watching him, he was watching me!!! Soon another car pulled up, it was the mother of a girl who went to our school although 2 grades higher than I was, and she said that thean in the white car is following me and I should jump in and she's going to drive me. She most likely saved my life!!
I walked a lot in the 80’s and 90’s growing up. After a few creeps tried to pick me up I started hiding when cars went by if I was not in a busy area when I was younger. As a teenager it was harder to do and the pdf files would especially follow me home from school. I was leaving late one day when one tried getting physical. The rest mostly seemed interested in easy prey but this guy was a grabber. I am a kick, hit, and screamer. I called the cops and they told me to wait where I was at an am/pm but never came after more than an hour. My mom came and took me home. They had my address and never came to take a statement. My mom thought it was a waste of time to go make a report. She also told me I was a liar when I told her I was drugged and SA’d.

Same tho! I had seen a video with that clip and I originally thought that Sophie was the victim but this video explained it better and my god does she deserve to go to jail for longer
If the neighbor didn't call the the police, when she was dragged out to the car from her appartement, the girl chained up in the car would be dead. More neighbors like this
I felt my temper rise up, when I saw the young woman in the van. Unfortunately, I know what that feels like. Years of therapy and I'm still affected. People really are crazy, and only with training and learning to arm yourself can something like this be thwarted sometimes.
The disgusting thing is child marriage happens all the time. Even here in the U.S.A. Parents can allow (force) their children to marry these sickos. Since they aren't adults these children can't hire a lawyer or petition the courts for a divorce. They are stuck.
Once when I was 17/18, my step mom was taking me to school and stopped at a gas station to run in for a pack of cigs leaving the car running and some guy jumped into the drivers seat and was about to drive off before noticing me and jumping back out and running off. It happened so quickly and was so shocking I didn't even know how to react

Just feel compelled to point out the difference in the first guy suspected of stealing a car and kidnapping (white) and the second guy suspected of the exact same crime (black). White guy was asked several times to step out of the car. Black guy was facing a loaded weapon and yanked out of the car. I’m not saying the black kidnapper was treated unfairly. I’m saying the white guy should’ve have been treated the same way.
Cars being taken with kids inside is a really rare crime here in the UK. The majority do not leave their kids in the car at all and for the minority that do, they take their keys with them! Other places need to adopt this way of thinking because it’s so frightening how quickly they can disappear! 💔🥺 Please don’t leave your children in the car folks, it’s just not worth it ❤
So where should i put my kids when i fill up at the petrol station? The majority dont allow under 16s to be on the forecourt and i have to pay? Do you want me to relocate them to a pocket dimension?

When I was 16 I had a “friend” around 45ish who was a family friend of a girl I liked who was my age. The truck guy reminds me of that guy. He was so cool, drove an 8 series BMW and let me borrow it sometimes, taught me to drive a manual transmission because he knew from driving jeeps in the Israel army… we would just hang out with him and it was like he was an uncle… then my best friend said he came on to him, which I didn’t even really believe… then it happened to me… He would give us alcohol and treat us like adults and had a lot of money (from our perspective) and it felt that he was just a mentor that had taken a shine to our friends group. We didn’t even think of reporting him or even saying anything since we were naive and felt cool being treated like peers by a grown up, but he was a groomer and each of us had an incident of inappropriate touching at one time, and each one rejected the advance but until it happened had a hard time believing it could be true. It’s hard to imagine how some 40 year old can be cruising around with a bunch of tweens… but it can happen. In retrospect I should have handed the situation differently and contacted authorities but by the time we really understood this this guy had bounced out of the country.
The shame to that bad guy stolen a car and kidnap a young boy in minute 3:43 pulled the card "Can not breathed" lines after he knew exactly what his skin colour to drawn attention.
LOL- The last resort of every guy who is being cuffed "I can't breathe, I can't breathe..." ever since that one case where the guy genuinely couldn't breathe and died- every guy being arrested thinks they can scream this and everything will stop. Doesn't work that way geniuses. Jesus- that poor girl who was shackled in that van- that was scary and gut wrenching. Scary to realize that kind of evil is amongst us all the time- and gut wrenching to see what it does to a victim even if they're rescued. You could hear the trauma in her voice- that lady will never be right again. I'm glad her neighbor called, and it worked, you know she loved him for it. There are a lot of ppl who would've just thought "It's not my business..." and let it go. Not only did he call- he went out and got the plate number- quick thinking. That guy deserves to be recognized by his community.
To think humanity has gone downhill this bad, really is not shocking. People are lacking obligations in life, allowing them to develop these nasty "fantasies", if thats what you would call it. Hopefully the children are not emotionally scared from these interactions and make a full recovery.
Crime has steadily declined since the 90s. We live in the safest period in recorded history. Social media just allows you to see stuff you never would have known about before its invention. Life was much, much more barbaric and cruel even 200 years ago. You don't even want to know what was going on 1000 years ago. There have always been sick and deranged people. Television, newspapers, radio, and social media give us access to the craziness.

It surprises me people even leave a kid in a car while it's not running and locked. Still would give me anxiety.
My 7 year old isrd to complain about me "dragging him in" everywhere. He got used to it, and now enjoys it. It's moments like that story in the video that remind me why I just don't fucking leave him alone in the car. Period. Running or not.
Correction, poeple need to STOP stealing cars.
The parents who leave children in cars alone should be charged as well!!!
I agree and yet I see so many people overwhelmingly concerned with being accused of being a “Karen” for ANYTHING.
That's it.
The Misery Machine is an amazing channel! Glad to see someone else watches them!
The silence of the younger children is DEAFENING. that’s all the proof I need, as everyone knows children that age don’t just stay quiet & completely motionless unless explicitly told to do so…
Yep. That's why kids MUST be protected. Too impressionable and don't know any better. They don't know that this is wrong.
Blows me away that the one girl is using a cell phone. And yet she "believes" in him?!
I was hoping someone would give him props. Having the forethought to get that license plate 100% saved her life.
Justice system is screwed up if the mastermind gets 5 years and the person they persuaded gets life. Manson would have loved this verdict!
That’s a little messed up, you got that right,
Yeah but the mastermind has... demographic advantages.

@@mchevre theres also the whole thing regarding how the media would have tried to push a "trans person wrongly sentenced to life" narrative by leaving out how they were the ones that planned it.

That officer running to the kid. Man, he must feel all that adrenaline just going down knowing everything is ok. So scary
The story is they snuck out of the house and willingly went with him. They needed a good scare. It could’ve been much worse . Accountability

It is called grooming. This is not how you handle victims of grooming. If you take the case of the Rotherham grooming gangs this is exactly the kind of attitude that let to victims not being listened to and key evidence missed. Poor training.

These criminals stealing vehicles with the kids inside are such pieces of sht it really pisses me off. Thanks for the vid tho
Agreed, they put children in danger of their cruel, irresponsible decisions. Especially if they are driving reckless.

The cop dealing with the unzipped pervert and the underage kids in the back seat should really learn how to show compassion. I highly doubt they all wanted to be there and who knows what was done to them or how brainwashed they'd been. Don't need to be so harsh to the potential victims!!
I know, right? That was really unnecessary. He could have done with showing a little more empathy.

I felt my temper rise up, when I saw the young woman in the van. Unfortunately, I know what that feels like. Years of therapy and I'm still affected. People really are crazy, and only with training and learning to arm yourself can something like this be thwarted sometimes.

Why someone would ever leave a child alone in a car with the keys to the car INSIDE and the car RUNNING is just beyond baffling to me.
Please don’t leave your children in the car folks, it’s just not worth it ❤
