    Man, this is laughably easy compared to installing one in a V2 gearbox, took me like 2 hours (first time doing it)
    I mean, that's not too hard either but here you didn't even have to open the gearbox! I'll pick one up in a few weeks for my own P90

    • @wyshtechairsoft

      Unfortunately, no, but the krytac already has a mosfet. However, Shadow Regime has made their own ETU for ALL brands of P90.

      Yes. It's made for most P90s, including the Cybergun P90.

    Why is there an extra hole in that cut off lever? Seems like a weak point. Maybe it's for use with another gearbox?

    • @wyshtechairsoft
      @wyshtechairsoft  Рік тому +1

      Its really isnt a weak point as Ive vigorously tested this etu in another video. Hasnt even remotely shown signs of wear and semi still works despite the P90 in said video pushing 50rps.

      @@wyshtechairsoft The Perun P90 definitely seems like a necessary upgrade. I've been considering the M trigger or the Novritsch SSR90 ETU but being able to remove the trigger bar seems like the best option. The stock CYMA P90 trigger contact assembly is horribly designed. They did not copy Marui correctly. Do you know of any ETU for Cybergun FN2000 with V3 gearbox?

    • @wyshtechairsoft
      @wyshtechairsoft  Рік тому

      I havent messed around with it yet but Id try doing a gate titan v3 etu. I did get a Perun v3 hybrid to work in a UAR bullpup.

    • @ZAKXOXOXO
      @ZAKXOXOXO Рік тому +1

      IIRC coz Cyma P90 uses AUG gearbox and other e.g cybergun are using their own version of it, so does the marui. so i think that's what that hole are for

    • @wyshtechairsoft
      @wyshtechairsoft  Рік тому

      The P90 and AUG use completely different gearboxes. The P90 uses a Version 6 gearbox while the AUG uses a Version 3 gearbox. The Perun AUG ETU doesn't require the the cut off lever since ETU can have the Optical sensors right by the sector gear.

    I may have messed up. The moment I connect the battery, the motor starts firing on auto. This is with the entire assembly outside of the gun, for testing.
    The small red wire leading from the Deans connector to the main board has come loose from the board soldering, could that be it?

    • @wyshtechairsoft
      @wyshtechairsoft  4 місяці тому

      Hard to say without seeing pictures. Did you test it with the trigger board connected and installed in the p90 body?

    • @daciandraco6462

      @@wyshtechairsoft it's a slightly longer story: I connected a Tamiya battery using an RC Deans-to-Tamiya adapter, while everything was mounted in the P90.
      Some smoke came out of the gun, I disconnected quickly, took the assembly out, to see that the thin red "trigger" wire had disconnected from the Perun main board.
      I rewired the Deans-Tamiya adapter (after I found out that RC is wired opposite to Airsoft) and with the assembly out of the gun, connected the battery. The moment it connects, the gearbox starts firing auto.
      I'm praying to all the airsoft gods that Perun's protection managed to prevent anything catastrophic.... I'm getting a Deans specific battery tomorrow and a soldering iron, plus 20AWG wire.
      Could the reversed polarity of the original connection have fried the thin trigger wire, leading to it unsoldering from the board?

    • @wyshtechairsoft
      @wyshtechairsoft  4 місяці тому +1

      @@daciandraco6462 Yes, reverse polarity can ruin the ETU. Those adaptors are dangerous to use because of this. Additionally Tamiya connecters in general are horrible connectors as they create a significant amount of resistance that effects in how long your battery lasts, trigger response, and rate of fire. Deans or better is the way to go.
      Completely factory guns its fine but you NEVER want to run tamiya in an upgraded airsoft gun. Also a heads up, dont use Li-Ion batteries like those TITAN batteries you see everywhere. They have horrible discharge rate whereas LiPo batteries (newer tech) provides MUCH better discharge rates which results in better trigger response, battery longevity, and rate of fire.

      @@wyshtechairsoft have you ever come across the disconnected trigger/gate wire causing the auto fire when connecting the battery?
      Wishful thinking on my part, fingers crosssssed.

    • @wyshtechairsoft
      @wyshtechairsoft  4 місяці тому

      @daciandraco6462 yup. Good indication that the unit is fried.
