This is pretty much the only farming sim I ever found properly relaxing to play - I've played Stardew and My Time at Portia and Animal Crossing if that counts - and they can be/feel a little grindy and exhausting if you're already tired, so it's weird you found it grindy - perhaps you did more than you really needed to? I also just really wanted a farming sim with no combat and love story driven games (visual novels and games like GRIS, Roki, A Short Hike, Epistory, What Remains of Edith Finch). And yeah definitely too attached to my animals, the wylde flowers ones are just too cute. I romanced Kim :)
This is one I can't wait to get, though I am waiting for a sale. I really like farming sims that allow you to slow down time. I'm not fast at these games. It's great that you don't have to switch tools. I tend to get tools mixed up easily. I'm so surprised it has voice acting, that's not something you usually see in farming sims. The story and characters look so great!
It had a 25% of sale today so I got it for $18 and I'm excited to play it 🤗 it looks so cute and fun and I'm a suckered for farming/life sims so this is perfect
This is literally my fav game!! It’s gonna be a hard one to top! The characters and gameplay had me hooked! The whole story is so great and clearly the voice acting and is what takes it over the top! I loved the whole vibe 😊 Being able to slow the game speed was literally the best thing! I love to take my time in games. But then at times, I could speed it up if I didn’t want to wait for something to be done. And endless inventory! No organizing or chests to worry about. So awesome. And how you change the seasons! So perfect. The game being so inclusive and diverse was so nice to see! You can tell a lot of love went into this wonderful game. Would highly recommended!♥️
I tried the demo today and bought the game immediately after completing it. I love how it's narrative based, the dialogues, the fishing mechanic which I normally dread in these games, and for some reason, I don't feel like I have to rush with anything. Cannot wait to get animals! Not being able to sell my cuties is also a problem of mine.
I am 53 and I love playing this game. My daughter got me into it when it was on sale. I don't play it daily but when I do, I play for a few hours, it is so easy to loose hours playing it. Like you say it becomes "ok just one more day and I will stop" lol T x
I played the demo last year during one of the steam fests(and for anybody on the fence, there is still a demo available) and I had thought about it ever since. When it went on sale a couple of months ago, I decided even though it wasn't a great sale, it was time to buy. I loved it so much, I would have been happy to pay full price. It took me over 100 hours to get through the main story. There is still a fair amount of stuff to do after that, but I just missed the story line too much and I quit playing. I think my best tip would be making as much soil as possible your top priority. You end up needing a LOT, and some people really struggle. I married Amira the doctor, I thought she was awesome.

Hello! I LOVE Wylde Flowers. It was my first farming sim and I think it spoiled me because of the endless inventory. As someone who is a big fan of English-voiced JRPGs, I love that WF is fully voiced. I am close to the end of year 1 and Idk if this happens to you but when I get close to the end of the main part of a game, I don’t want to play it as much because I don’t want it to end. Thankfully, I think there are a couple more years in the game after the 1st year so I have a ways to go until I am completely done with the game. In terms of romance, I heard that you can date multiple people but marry once. Not sure if that is accurate but there are a couple characters my Tara wants to date before deciding who to settle down with. Also, I can’t wait for Wylde Society!!!
I've recently went back to Pokémon Legends Arceus and started back over from scratch. I didn't think it would be very re-playable, even though it is my favorite Pokémon game. Second time through has been basically just as fun and entertaining as the first. I haven't seen a Switch game come out that I was interested in playing since Made in Abyss came out a year ago, so I've just went back to older stuff. There's been a serious good game drought for quite a while.

I am playing it now and I am absolutely obsessed with it! This is such a relaxing game. No stress at all and I love that. The story is wonderful and the characters are engaging. I genuinely care about the townspeople. I highly recommend it.

Devs have just been so lazy these days with farming games. Rarely do we see ground-breaking ones in the genre like the My Time series and Wylde Flowers
I played via Apple Arcade then bought it on the Switch since I didn’t play any other AA games. My daughter loves the free world play after I finish the story too. I’m looking forward to any DLCs and sequels they release

I’m not a gamer, but I got ACNH during lockdown… finished my island after 300 hours of gameplay lol and now I’m back to playing after the HUGE 2.0 update and completely redoing my island plus the DLC and other new things and it will always remain my favorite game of all time, I just know it lol! That said, I think Wylde Flowers will be the second game I play :)
I played this a few weeks after it released. But didn’t make it too far. Then, I found Stardew, and forgot about it for awhile. I restarted it, then had a few life issues that kept me from playing. I should go back to it now. 😍
I just picked up this game and it's sooo much fun. I was a fan of Lake (voiced with predetermined character) but there wasn't much substance to it. This is game is even better
I’m the exact same with the animals! Lol I don’t ever sell them! Their my babies haha I clearly name them all and they all feel part of the game and story.
I will be sure to pick up this game at some point. It just looks really great and Sara seems really interesting as a main character. It's really nice to play through someone else's story sometimes with some good game examples including Return to PopoloCrois, The Rune Factory series, and Rainbow Billy: The Leviathan's Curse. Tht last game in particular is one that i have been invested in ever since i picked it up earlier this month. Its so fun and cute and you get to help Billy, Rodrigo the apunchung Rod and all their friends help each otehr through personal struggles and gettieg to see each character grow as individuals. Also this is the first game ive ever played where the protagonist had the same name as me by default so it really felt like I'm a part of the adventure. I just had to share, love this game so much.
I have finished this game and completed everything there is to do in the game. It is hands down one of the best games ever made in the cozy gaming world. Sponsored or not you should be playing it. Just the fact that it is fully voice acted. If you anyone is on the fence about this one, it will be worth every dime you pay for it.

I played my time at Portia, and now can’t play games without voice actings lol also, I’ve been eyeing this when I saw it on sale in Nintendo switch. But I didn’t buy it, guess I’ll have to buy it then. This looks good this game also in App Store, but have to pay 5.99 month to play it. So I guess I’ll go to my switch instead.

I had waited and waited to get this one, wasn't sure I would like it. And after playing it, I got bored in the middle of summer year one and haven't gone back since. Idk what about it was boring but I think it's just cause there was actually not enough for me to actually do, I am the person who loves filling up my field as much as I can on day one and I couldn't do that in this game, and I didn't really connect with any of the characters so that was a huge letdown for me too. Final straw was finding out that I can't have kids in the game. I cannot have kids myself (only furbabies) so I like to live vicariously through life sim games where I can have the perfect family, this game just didn't hit the mark for me.

@@MissBubbles of course! There have been some games that I enjoy that others don’t, but everyone can like whatever they want! I have a friend who doesn’t like super cozy games all the time and prefers more action games, but I don’t play many action and prefer cozy. I love being part of this community cause it’s so positive and let’s people enjoy what they want.
I thought the social aspect and the cutscenes were fairly well done in this game but the progression is truly horrifically slow compared to other farming sims. As you said, it also feels grindy as a result of how slow everything is.

There are some resources you can’t get unless you sell some animals, which means some recipes/craftables you can’t make

All characters have their own voice actor, including the protagonist you would play called Tara.

It def has a grinding aspect but because of how engaging the villagers are, I was able to keep playing and not feel daunted by it
