Enjoy all your videos,I just built my first Diddly bow no pick up in open G with a broom handle and a standard cigar box stomp box with a piezo pick up no volume knob, can’t wait for your next lesson.
Great to see that all foot stompers that are angled are hard on the muscles I thought it was me thanks for the clarification
Great show keep them coming
All the best Trevor
I like watching your video Shane and I've just bought the book . greetings from UK.
I'd love to try this out and see how different pickups effect the tone, should be interesting with a big piece of sheet metal on top of it.
Also I didn’t know Ted passed away, we were practically neighbors in Glassboro NJ
So generous. That was great to give the foot stomper away like that.
I think I'll ask my welder friend to help me build a John Henry. Thanks for showing that thing off!
Cool video, as usual. I was hoping to hear a little demo at the end.
I love this
I am finding you videos very helpful
I used the Terraplane last week and it worked great… I did reverse it… I love it and I’m using it!!!
Oh… I’m Gary Fann lol
Tried to buld the spike /hammer stomper all it does is thud had to gess at every measurement in the process was very excited about it but probly wont try it again
I have been fascinated with the John Henry. I tinker and have made several canjos, cbgs but have never ventured to try to make the JH. Is there any way you could put out some basic measurements? I see others have tried and have not really had any luck. I was looking at the proportions and going to go from there but some basics would be super helpful.
Iike how you post your mistakes as well as your wins. Second time watching this video.
Where is a good place to get a preamp ???
Sorry to hear about Ted..
hmm, cheap bass pickup .. man you just gave me an idea. BTW thanks for the hint with making it flat .. it aint hard at all, rather easy fix to your design. What preamp did you use there? And how do you power it - battery or some power source powering also your pedal board?
There’s no preamp or power. Its all passive. Imagine slapping strings on an electric guitar that’s plugged in. That’s the concept.
@@ShaneSpealso its just normal tone & volume knobs as in any other cigarbox, ok got it ... even easier setup than i thought it might be
i still think idea of cheap bass pickup used like this is just .. brilliant
Lefties miss out again. 😜 Got the book. Gonna build me a foot stomper.👍
#go foot stomper go# Win that Gitty bucker test guitar
I won!!😎
