For whatever reason, it got cut and all we got was Chris reading the newspaper in New York, along with a few other non-speaking cameos.
In terms of gay human characters on Cartoon Network, Craig of the Creek has been pretty damn queer. They don't say the word "gay" but they have multiple characters openly crushing on and asking out characters of the same gender, they have openly nonbinary characters and some characters are introduced with the mention of they/them pronouns. There's an entire episode where a girl processes having a crush on her friend (who's a girl) and goes to her friend's lesbian sister and her girlfriend for advice. This season of Total Drama was certainly a step farther in terms of queer content in a show for kids, but it's not a massive leap is what I'm saying.

1:43:15 MacArthur is canonically just kind of the worker character, it started in Dramarama, she's constantly bouncing between jobs so this is likely just a random role they needed to fill and didn't feel like making a new character
THANK YOU for giving Season 2 the credit it deserved. So many people are crying over it but most of their reasonings are just their favorites not winning and Priya and Julia going far again, all the while completely ignoring most of the good fun stuff that happens in the season. The jokes and challenges are better in season 2 as well. Season 1 isn't bad, heck if it wasn't for the fart ep I would even prefer it over season 2, but it isn't as memorable, and yes Millie heavily drags the season down too because she doesn't get good until the final 2 or so episodes and even there she has some unlikeable moments. She isn't bad in a funny way like Ripper and Chase, she's just bad. Many characters still have potential and I do think you can still create at least one more season with them without a total shake-up. Overall it's a really good reboot with a very fun cast that SHOULD'VE been better treated by the networks.
Not gonna lie, it was a letdown for me. For a lot of reasons that aren't tied to the cast's eliminations, since I really don't care about Nichelle or Axel - my favourites are MK and Damien and they got pretty far. My issues lie with the overall structure of the season. Season 1 was very simple, with two main characters from the get-go: Priya and Bowie. They had a couple extra characters who floated around them, plus Julia who became an antagonist part-way through. Everyone else? Cannon-fodder. Zee and Ripper made some laughs, Chase and Emma made some drama. Season 2 just feels aimless, I guess. And very disconnected from the first part. MK and Julia despite having such an entertaining bond, came out of nowhere. Bowie was suddenly hated for no reason, same as Ripper having a crush on Axel, same as Caleb being devoted to the game. They just didn't feel like the same people to me. There wasn't any clear main character which made for confusing eliminations and an even more confusing winner. I still really don't understand why Wayne won. I'm not mad over it, I mean, he's a fun character. But why did he win...? It has all the same problems Action did. A really out-of-nowhere finalist that makes you wonder if the writers just rolled dice (Beth and Wayne), characters being set up for greatness then doing nothing (Lindsay and Damien), far too much time spent on previous finalists (Owen and Priya) and really frustrating relationship drama. Comparing the Priya/Caleb debacle with the healthy coming out story from season 1 is like night and day. Just like comparing what Gwen and Trent were one season to the next. Yikes. That's just my take though. The season has charm, at least a few great, new dynamics (I loved watching the Axel/Ripper and MK/Julia interactions so very, very much) but I didn't love the final product
I'm sorry but that's mega cope to say it's just because their favorites didn't win. A lot of people's favorites got screwed in Season 1 too, arguably worse since Damien and MK never made merge. Hockey Bros got bs'd out, etc. The writing is just worse in Season 2, Julia does everything offscreen and characters have very weak dynamics/no dynamics in comparison to S1. Ripper literally spends all his screentime with Axel over his own team for example. Caleb is literally the protagonist and had no good dynamic outside of Priya nor did he have a good arc or personality. Say what you will about Millie but at least she had an arc and a consistent personality. Millie doesn't try and act like she's a paragon of honesty and truth that Caleb dishonestly tries to do (and is never called out for it, in fact Priya's put in the wrong for wanting Caleb to play the game hahaha).
@@nuibaba280 I ain't gonna argue with someone who has openly admitted many times before to not liking any seasons of the show at all. Find a better hobby.
1:17:12 I have always thought that Chris lied to Damien. We have seen people like D.J., Duncan, Nichelle, and Anne Maria quit, and it doesn't seem like they owe money. I think Chris knew Damien clearly didn't read his contract or he would have known what the show was, so lying to him makes sense. He never bothered Chris again asking to quit but continued to be entertaining which is good for ratings. 💜
I really want to see them do World Tour with this new cast. Maybe retire a couple of the characters and replace them with new ones, that approach worked with the original world tour. Preferably I would aim for over 13 episodes, but that’s not up to the production theme sadly. I just grown to like this cast a lot, they still have some potential, somthey should work with them.
my theory on the orb thing is that that the writers think if they say balls people will go like “erm balls?? erm is this a reference to the testicles?? hehe?” so they just say orbs instead
SWITCH1E being here that’s beautiful and amazing especially because of BHUltra’s appearance in what I think was the Revenge of the Island retrospective.
Wait am I going crazy? I definitely remember Julia saying that she wrote a letter to all of the other campers that said she knew they had the immunity idol
My favorite part of this reboot is the general consensus of MK is Julia as Noah is to Alejandro it's hilarious. It's also a common headcannon that Noah and Alejandro are the parents of one of the new season contests and it's usually MK that's their kid. (There's also a similar headcannon about Noah and Owen but I can't remember who the kid was)
if this is truly the end then I appreciate all of these videos. The Total Drama trilogy sparked an interest in the franchise I’d lost before and I’m glad these videos were able to entertain me and so many others. Keep it up Andrew “BH” Ultra
Theory, Chris/The In Universe producers saw the success of the Izzy character so they had Lauren(Scary Girl) as a plant to try to recapture the magic. Lauren wasn't as successful(due to being a manufactured personality), so they weren't performing shenanigans to keep her in.
Honestly, this is a great end to the trilogy, made me really think about both seasons of the reboot and I love how different our opinions are considering how much I teeter on loving this cast and knowing how flawed they are. I think at this point you've talked about everything that you REALLY have to say, and unless another season does come out this is a great end. I love your non TD stuff just as much (actually more) than the TD stuff, so I personally am looking forward to that, but if it weren't for the Izzy and Star Wars videos, I wouldn't be here anyways, so thanks again, Total Drama.
I'm so used to TD characters having very foreign names, it feels wrong that this season has a character with my exact name and the exact spelling too. It feels like I'm being spied. I'm not used to a fictional character being named Julia.
The overarching joke of "I care the most about blank" than cutting to the person that wiuld get offended by it the most is actually so funny OMG... Its a shame beardo died tho
I got one for you, nobody has ever gone in depth about who voted for who during the eliminations. Yes we're given scenes that make it easier to determine but I'm talking ALL the campers specifically. Like who else voted for Ezekiel other than the girls on his team during season 1 type of depth.
I really want this cast into a world tour setting with the 26 episode format. I mean yeah, I don’t like some characters but I don’t hate them and I think a longer series for all characters WOULD be better plus i think if they did do a world tour setting, new characters and the singing will be really good considering how many singers are in the cast. If I were to add anything if it did get a third season I don’t want it with the OG just them making cameos and make Mkulia canon
I’m very glad you uploaded this cause. I just realize something so since it’s based off Canada if Justin or any American contestant were to have won, they only would’ve got to take $72207 before tax’s in season one and $722070 before taxes afterwards. This is still a lot of money, but considering what contestants of total drama go through. It’s not worth it. But that’s just now maybe back then it was worth it 5:14
That's what I'm saying. She can definitely be a very interesting character if used correctly. I'm very afraid the writers are gonna do her dirty and not use her character's potential correctly.
In the version i watched right after damien gets scared by the letter julia says she left notes on everyones bunks to scare whoever had it so she could steal it but she didnt expect it to work. Damien being paranoid does fall for it tho
1:24:24 I feel this, when I first watched both seasons I was so obsessed with the izzy conspiracy video that I tried to form my own little theories about Lauren in a similar matter and I really wanted to see her make a return to the game, I was so sad to see her get eliminated so early in both seasons. I love her a lot as a character
Total drama (2023) cant end till Lauren wins one, have her swap her strategy by trying to be a completely different person each season until something eventually works for her
This cast is honestly a very strong cast, the villains are a lot more “likeable” then usual and there’s a lot of people I just straight up enjoy watching, I would say a solid 10/16 of them I would put as “enjoyable” characters which is much better than usual seasons
Headcanon for season 3, Hockey bros will be ripped, with Raj and Bowie now being the main couple, Wayne gets forgotten by Raj and gets eliminated early, like ep. 2-3
As someone who, essentially, binged both seasons, I'd definitely recommend the weekly viewing schedule. Also, about that note Damien got, Julia had a confessional saying that she left a note saying "I know you have it" on everyone's bed, calling it a long shot but figured it couldn't hurt.
I kind of hate how cluttered the challenges are from like all stars onwards. Like season one has a whole episode where they just play dodgeball. And not some deadly gimmicky dodgeball, just normal ass dodgeball. This season has an episode where theyre fighting on pirate ships and thats only one half of the episode. It just gives you whiplash when you go back to season one and see how simple the challenges were, and i think it allowed the characters to grow more. I'm mostly just sick of the island setting. There's really only so much you can do on an island. Revenge, all stars, pakitew, reboot S1 and S2 have done like every island gimmick. Go back to action or world tour pleeeease they're like the best seasons Also love hearing all the psychonauts music in these videos
@@pfp-underwater well you know what I mean. If the dodgeball challenge was done in a newer season, all the balls would have booby traps in them and there'd be heaps of other obstacles, and it would only be one half of the episode. The dodgeball game in the episode was just a regular game of dodgeball for the whole episode and relied entirely on the strengths of the players
Something really interesting to me is this: Cheating isn’t actually against the rules. No contestant has EVER been punished for cheating, not even for rigging the votes or anything like that. Only staff like chef are punished for interfering with the game. MK was punished not for cheating, but for stealing the hair dryer.
@@Mal-go5dl Sam got his teams Victory rescinded but not because of cheating, but because by saving that piece of pancake, his team never technically won the challenge at all. It’s not an aspect of cheating, it was unintentional sabotage.
One thing i think we all have to respect about the reboot is; with the representation characters ( like Zee and Bowie ), their character isn't centered about what they're representing, they have their completely different characters, and their representation doesn't play a major part on the plot and their character. ( i dont think relationship(s) that needed the representation(s) really count )
I think you actually DID miss an extra scene about the letter, because in the version I p̶i̶r̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ watched, the immediate scene after damien talks about the letter is a confessional from julia saying she wrote the same anonymous letters to every person on the island to see who would get more fidgety in case they had the idol.-, and that she didn't think anyone was dumb enough to fall for it but it was worth a shot. I'd say that explains that whole letter thing pretty well
The challenges in this show feel better than they have been since world tour. They feel like actual reasonable survivor esque party games with lots of room for jokes and gags which I really feel like this show hasnt had since season 1
Yo have you seen or heard about Disventure Camp? If not, it's a fanmade Total Drama inspired show on UA-cam with surprisingly really high quality, and I highly recommend watching it. Would be cool if you did a video on it too :)
BH Ultra can I validate your Lauren returning wants- when both seasons leaked I was fighting FOR MY GODDAMN LIFE on reddit and tumblr every single time going "No look she'll come back next episode!!" and also gained a reputation with my friends who watched it with me for whenever a camera panned I would go "Oh Scary Girl reveal?". If it's any consolation, I think Lauren was inside that bear beating the shit out of MK, since she tried to murder MK in the 4th episode and definetly did murder that bear in the third. Then again. I want them to kiss so maybe I am biased.
Oh absolutely, keep this cast. They're quite fine, and seeing them grow and develop their personalities alongside hints and ideas of what the original cast are doing will be very nice. 1-3 seasons of the first cast mixing and mingling with one another worked so well and made them beloved, doing that with this cast (in at least 26 episodes of a season) will be very interesting after how much they've become in this first one
So glad you're on the same page with Ripaxel, lmao I think Wayne and Julia is an example of the show suffering from 13 episodes. If they didn't have to be so tight with their writing I think we could have had so many memorable bits and pieces of character interactions from those two
I feel like a fun theory to watch is that Julia is izzys kid and is almost the exact opposite as her. Instead of acting crazy but being smart she is kinda crazy, and thinks shes smart. And its not like Julia is dumb, shes a great schemer, she just has an exaggerated viewpoint of her intelligence. She has so many followers because people knew Izzy from movie stardom and td legacy, and acts like an entitled love and light kid to distance herself from izzys crazy antics, even though it couldnt be further from her truth. Her pursuit and desire to win is almost as determined as izzy, but julia isnt as smart and doesnt know the same loopholes izzy did, or they were sealed after izzy. But she is able to keep her phones throughout her time on the island regardless of chris' attempts to stop it. Julia is forced to rely on mks cunning and the inherited traits she gained or learned from her mother, plotting scheming and physical attributes. Its even possible her mother told her some of the plots she used on the show. She seems to have some sort of physical training as shes able to perform to extremely high levels in challenges and is confident in it, has even beaten priya in physical challenges. While Izzy was very good at acting in a crazy role, Julia thought what her mother did would be easy and was proven to be very bad at playing her love and light schtick when she snaps very easily and ultimately embraces her true persona. In the cave the spider clearly ignores Julia and she has no fear, which can be seen as a callback to Izzys spider role, and a spider got squished in the episode julia was voted to be eliminated in s2, when nobody knew she had the immunity idol. Its fun to watch her thinking shes a legacy character and gives her reasoning to act like love and light influencer outside of the game to become a star herself, until becoming the influential villain after being found out and was technically even able to do what Izzy wasnt: make it to a final. Sidenote would have loved if scary girl became lauren s2 and chris didnt out her as scary girl and everyone treated her like a completely new person, even though she barely did anything to change who she was, except some new clothes and just kept repeating how super normal she is and everyone was like "i love how normal and well balanced this new lauren girl is" while shes "innocently" causing violence
Here in Brazil season 2 is having reruns on CN i found it so weird that season 1 did't even finish in the states it's like when in 2022 the japanese toei youtube channel posted a trailer for Miraculous season 1 finale
I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels like Scary Girl isn’t actually scary. I don’t know why people were so focused on her when I’d argue there were other characters that were funnier and more interesting. I will say, her design stands out the most, but that’s just cus she’s goth.
I think the reason why the cast treats Bowie like he's worse than Julia is because: 1. Bowie is more successful than her in season 1. He actually made it into the finale. 2. Bowie is a people person, so it affects him more when people reject him. Julia does not give a shit about anyone's opinion, so it's possible people are also giving her the stink eye and she just didn't have a noteworthy reaction to it and the in universe editors decided not to show it in the episode.
my only question is the ep "meet the victims" is it a play on the song from mean girls the musical "meet the plastic"? if it is then the line "They're shiny, fake, and hard, They play their little mind games, All around the schoolyard" makes a lot of sense for the ep
i like binging but i also agree with you like I love the mole and I would love if actually we switched that out to a whole season to hunt for clues and make theories. all I got was 2 weeks of dunking on people for saying the woman who was adding the most money to the pot was the mole that's not enough.
I'm pleasantly surprised that these "seasons" are actually pretty good. I fell off the wagon during All-Stars (though I watched a bit of Pahkitew Island) and was very sad that the writing was so fucking awful. I'm glad they got some momentum back.

SWITCHIE!!!!! I LOVE YPU!!!!
> Be me
> MK and Scary Girl are my favorite characters
> Both of them have almost nothing in season 1
> Lauren gets out first in season 2
> MK gets a girlfriend but at the cost of being out because of said girlfriend
:(
UGH REAL
I can't wait for the BHultra Total Drama video 2025 - My vote is to just make it all about gay shipping
That would be funny as hell, I need it
i second this
That would be hilarious, especially because his faves include Noah and Cody

Overall it's a really good reboot with a very fun cast that SHOULD'VE been better treated by the networks.
i LOVE season two, mainly since they have character development already and since mk and julia kiss (trust they did trust)
@@MushroomForestDidn't kiss
Actually that's a pretty damn good explanation.
Moral of the story, kids: read yo damn contracts!
If you want more episodes, why not just bring the whole cast back at that point
Watching the premiere of a BH ultra video is like watching pre 36 WrestleMania live
Damn two hours? That’s tame for Andrew
my theory on the orb thing is that that the writers think if they say balls people will go like “erm balls?? erm is this a reference to the testicles?? hehe?” so they just say orbs instead
Well gentlemen, I see that we have all come together for our yearly wisdom from Mister Total Drama Island Himself.
1:38:42 yeah i think he just missed her confessional where she said she sent a letter to every camper saying “i know you have the idol”

TBF Chef was always Chris' voice of reason, whenever the host is on the edge of breaking character, Chef comes in to balance the scales.
I love when a bunch of youtubers collab and its just them being like "Dude this guy sucks"
I'm so used to TD characters having very foreign names, it feels wrong that this season has a character with my exact name and the exact spelling too. It feels like I'm being spied. I'm not used to a fictional character being named Julia.

We are so back boys
Who ever breaks the 69 likes gets voted off the island.
THE TRUE TDI GUY HAS RETURNED!!! ALL HAIL OUR KING!!!!
I love that Zee's hat is the same color as the green screen for the corkboard set
I really want this cast into a world tour setting with the 26 episode format. I mean yeah, I don’t like some characters but I don’t hate them and I think a longer series for all characters WOULD be better
plus i think if they did do a world tour setting, new characters and the singing will be really good considering how many singers are in the cast.
But that’s just now maybe back then it was worth it 5:14
Can’t believe Switch1e hasn’t moved in an entire year
I'm afraid Lauren will get the Noah treatment please don't do that to our girl
Season 8*
As someone who, essentially, binged both seasons, I'd definitely recommend the weekly viewing schedule.
Also, about that note Damien got, Julia had a confessional saying that she left a note saying "I know you have it" on everyone's bed, calling it a long shot but figured it couldn't hurt.
You should talk about Disventure camp. The first season it probably the best, but season two and all starts are okay too!
oh, there is still things he can cover next year, he is not free
Disventure camp 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
this man's refusal to not watch Ridonculous Race because season before was bad and season after was bad, i admire this dudes stubbiness lmao
Go back to action or world tour pleeeease they're like the best seasons
Also love hearing all the psychonauts music in these videos
"Normal ass dodgeball? Those balls were defying the laws of physics 😂
Same cheated in AS and got eliminated for it, that's the only time I remember
@@Mal-go5dl Sam got his teams Victory rescinded but not because of cheating, but because by saving that piece of pancake, his team never technically won the challenge at all. It’s not an aspect of cheating, it was unintentional sabotage.
One thing i think we all have to respect about the reboot is; with the representation characters ( like Zee and Bowie ), their character isn't centered about what they're representing, they have their completely different characters, and their representation doesn't play a major part on the plot and their character. ( i dont think relationship(s) that needed the representation(s) really count )
Yooo I genuinely loved this season can’t wait to see Wut he’s cooking up now
"Is there a reason you never told us one of your legs was a prosthetic?"
"Probably the same reason you never told me your legs weren't"

You hate Millie and love Ripper… THANK YOU, FINALLY. This video is gonna be a great watch.
We are eating good tonight TDI fans !!!!!!!
(So glad theres a 3rd to this series, i lowk listen to the first 2 alot... lol)
I'd say that explains that whole letter thing pretty well
I think the emphasis on Orb was because it's a reference to Zorbs, the giant balls you can roll down hills in
a bug could surf on that cowlick
Are we ignoring Millie choosing to beat her friend's old relative than to eat 100 lemons.
Ladies, we're SO BACK
The challenges in this show feel better than they have been since world tour.
The skunk logo being green screened is the funniest shit
1:12:50 THANK YOU!!!! they are IN! LOVE! And I WILL be officiating the wedding!!
So glad you're on the same page with Ripaxel, lmao
I think Wayne and Julia is an example of the show suffering from 13 episodes.
Bro finally, I've been holding breath from the last upload and died at least 365 times 😭😭😭
Here in Brazil season 2 is having reruns on CN i found it so weird that season 1 did't even finish in the states it's like when in 2022 the japanese toei youtube channel posted a trailer for Miraculous season 1 finale
i still love that moment Julia: you!
cuts to Bowie: Me!
1:28:30 this is literally just a taskmaster task
"get the camel through the smallest gap" (S4E6)
:0 baby gap
I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels like Scary Girl isn’t actually scary. I don’t know why people were so focused on her when I’d argue there were other characters that were funnier and more interesting. I will say, her design stands out the most, but that’s just cus she’s goth.
I think the reason why the cast treats Bowie like he's worse than Julia is because:
Genuinely just recognized that he is wearing the Vegeta DBZ BADMAN shirt, what an icon
Lmao the fucking description is awesome and so unexpected.... I have no idea what you first said I was so drawn
Have I watched total drama,
NO
have I watched every single one of this man’s videos on them

my only question is the ep "meet the victims" is it a play on the song from mean girls the musical "meet the plastic"? if it is then the line "They're shiny, fake, and hard, They play their little mind games, All around the schoolyard" makes a lot of sense for the ep
i like binging but i also agree with you like I love the mole and I would love if actually we switched that out to a whole season to hunt for clues and make theories. all I got was 2 weeks of dunking on people for saying the woman who was adding the most money to the pot was the mole that's not enough.
And you said you weren't the Total Drama guy lol.
You loving Noah, Cody and Heather and your fave season being World Tour. MOOD!
I'm pleasantly surprised that these "seasons" are actually pretty good. I fell off the wagon during All-Stars (though I watched a bit of Pahkitew Island) and was very sad that the writing was so fucking awful. I'm glad they got some momentum back.
Have you consider watching Disventure Camp?? I would LOOOVEEEE to see you this kinds of videos about it.

As someone who just watched the entire reboot over two nights I gotta say, I kept thinking Scary Girl was coming back too. Like I had the same thought for MKs partner being found in the woods.
Who else is really hoping they add a few new characters like they did in season 3 of the og?
Not just because it’ll be a reference but because it’ll shake things up
I still think one of my favourite things is the Hockey Bros being introduced as being from Northern Alberta but go onto exclusively reference Saskatchewan for the whole 2 seasons

something i noticed in world tour, the roller coaster challenge (the one with dj and the fish) and i think courtney and heather go do it in their bathing suits, then after that we magically see them in normal clothes which is kinda wierd
