Excellent video! We just bought a factory windshield and now will install it with confidence thanks to your video. We have factory doors and other accessories coming, we hope you will produce videos for these other installations. Good job too Mikie.
Nice install. I appreciate your attention to detail. Once you have enough accessories installed on both machines I hope you do a comparison video on which units quality of accessories, level of difficulty doing the install, vs cost. I don't think anyone has done that yet.
Very helpful video Mike! I picked up my Ranger yesterday and am thrilled with it and anyone would be with a new toy. I went with the 1000 Premium Crew. Took it for a ride with a couple friends, and confirmed what I thought all along, a roof and front windshield are a must. The temperature outside was 36 deg F and at any kind of speed if felt like my eyeballs were going to freeze. One question I have on the tip up windshield is whether it's meant to leave in the fully open horizontal position while driving it? I've researched a bit to try to find documentation covering that and the only thing I found was in the install instructions stating it should be facing forward and fully closed and locked while trailering. Was there anything in the documentation covering proper use? People in a Polaris forum have said they've had it open at 50+ mph. That would make me squirm a bit.
Nice! Congratulations on getting your new Ranger. I would not leave windshield in full open position at high speeds. I would put it in the partial locked open position only at higher speeds. Now if you are just putting around you can leave open. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for uploading a video of this install, it helped me tremendously!
