Thanks for the tutorial. I have never tried a stitch like this. I am working on a tutorial that uses this stitch in the round like this but they call it the popcorn stitch.....which confused the hell out of me. The described the steps to do a bobble. Also I did not know I needed to flip the bobbles around. Thanks again. 😊

It looks like after you slip stitch and chain one you work into the same stitch to begin the next round. Is that right? I can't seem to tell from the video. I am trying to make a hat and my stitch count is off when I get to the end. I started with a Noro bobble hat pattern and found this video which is really good but slightly different in the way it describes making the bobbles. in Thenor instruction it just says to form a treble. It's bobble like but smaller. I really like the bobble hat.

This is so close to what I am trying to do. Very good description and easy to follow. I am searching how to make an oval of bobbles so I can make a sheep pillow. I want the oval to be the body. Then I will attach a separate head and feet. I just don't know how to handle the increases and decreases. Any ideas?

I consistently end up with one less Bobble than the pattern says I should have. I've pulled everything out and started again several times. I've counted my stitches beforehand, and have the right number. Please help with any insights you might have to troubleshoot my bobbles in the round. I don't have any trouble with bobbles in rows.

Would you be willing to please help me turn the bobble stitch into a ball? I want to stick with your three rounds of bobbles ( no more increases). Then would a just do the same single crochet, bobble the same 36 and then single crochet and decrease? I'm excited to try it.

Is it not possible to increase to get 30 stitches instead of jumping from 24-36

I was thinking the exact same thing and came up with a solution. Instead of beginning with 6 single crochets in a magic circle, start with 4 instead. Then follow the pattern in the tutorial. It gets you to 32 stitches, which is close enough and probably the only way.
      Pattern:
      Round 1- MC with 4 SC [4]
      Round 2- (1 SC + 1 Bobble) x4 [8]
      Round 3- (2 SC) INC x 8 [16]
      Round 4- (1 SC, 1 Bobble, 1SC…) [16]
      Round 5- (1SC, INC) x16 [24]
      Round 6- (1 SC, 1 Bobble, 1SC…) [24]
      Round 7- (2SC, INC) [32]
you can continue from here with another round of bobbles or leave as is.
Let me know if this helps!
