Such an important topic and video, thank you so much. I used to think I had relationship problems because of the FA/DA dynamic...but I always felt like that couldn't have been the only explanation and that something more sinister was going on; now I realise the even bigger problem was the (covert) narcissism of that person and the trauma bond I was in with them.

    Dear Thais and the PDS-Team,
Could you please make a video on the difference between Fearful Avoidant Attachment Style and Covert Narcissism? I've been a subscriber for years and know I have strong FA traits because I experienced severe complex trauma. When I watch your videos on narcissism I get really scared of maybe having narcissistic traits myself instead? It would be very helpful.
Thank you for the awesome free daily content.

Thank you, a very timely video.
Went no contact this week with my 4 year narcissistic friend. :(
Was a really tough decision and they immediately started attacking and threatening legal abuse and circulated horrible rumors to mutual friends. It was no light decision for me and I feel like I spent so much time considering their needs--while my health went down the drain these last few years and I got the short end of the stick every time. Very hurtful to see them lash out but shows me that it was the right decision. I'm all about growth, change and improving and I just felt trapped and caged around them.

I am in the midst of this now and have to say that the gray rock method has been very helpful in bringing me peace. Sticking to it creates a strong boundary and as you said, it will help move them toward something else to focus on aka control.

Very important point: The narcissist is familiar because you beat yourself up, you're harsh on yourself, you're overly critical with yourself. So staying with the narcissist meets the need of Certainty in an unhealthy way. That's why you get back to who you really are at the subconscious mind so that feels unnatural and your real confident self feels natural. What do you all think? :)

I Definitely agree with this. I realized my biggest core wound was "I am blammed" and they were notorious for blaming me for their projected insecurities.

Thank you! I did this last year and it was SO hard! My life is a million times better now but it's crazy what intermittent reinforcement can do to a person's brain!
