Great video. We just bought a boat out of Canada sight unseen (which we are going to call Sight Unseen) and today I learned that the cell booster is a SureCall, I believe 2.0. A freind of mine was trying to describe the "candy bar", but I just couldn't get it in my head what that was all about. Now, thanks to you... I GOT IT! I will be connecting up a Netgear 5G Nighthawk Pro. I'll try to remember to log back in and let you know how it goes.
Have you tried the Netgear with external antennas attached directly to it? You could plug your SureCall omni into one of the ports on the netgear (adapters available on amazon) and you may do better than going through the amplifier. I'm still trying to find the best travel router as well.
i greatly appreciate your vid, i need this in my life, I have a question : you showed the 4-5 bars on the phone , how many bars did you have when you turned off the Sure call?
About 90% of the day it will be at 1 bar, with no LTE. Then a few random times during the day it finds LTE and jumps to 2-3 bars, but that is only in bursts, I can NOT count on it working. The only way for guaranteed LTE coverage is to use the booster.
