Something the game also doesn't tell you is that wearing the Dr. D armor vest gives you a bonus to your Violence, Speed, and Momentum stats.
Maybe he should wear it when he plays tarky 😅... Man I wish he'd persevere and git gud.

@@timbob1145 man, I played 3k hours myself and watched the Docs last three Tarkov Sessions and hoping, praying that he gets good. He was destroyed yesterday on Stream and gave up mentally and financially completly broken. It might be it for this Wipe.

i really disagree with the green uley, i was buying for like 50 to 60k and i know its only aramid but the actual coverage of the lvl 4 is way bigger than any plate. it did wonders for me, the only downside was limited rig space

Stoked to be able to rock the goon plate carriers off flea once I get some plates unlocked.
The reason a slick is so expensive on flea is because ragman buys them with no plates for like 155-160k depending on the color, I really wish they would make them buyable for cheap from level 4 ragman, its not even a good armor tbh
Re: Uley rigs - when you mouse over them, they read "insert and plate;" does that not mean they have both a plate and soft armor under them? If not, that's pretty ambiguously-worded.

I like the green Ulley, that class 4 all over bar the neck has saved me a couple of times.
The problem with the plates is it gives you a false sense of protection. If someone sprays your torso and it misses the plate and hits the armpit/collarbone you can get one shot of through class 2 soft armour
They need to redo the hit boxes so those areas take half damage imo because you aren't dying to a collarbone shot, maybe an armpit if it goes into the torso..
My biggest issue this wipe related to the armor change is the "shot in armpit". Had this happen several times by scavs while running, I dont want them to be potatoes but it seems kind of busted.

Hey Jesse. Thank you for the video. It could be useful to have time stamps for each trader level so that we can return to the video and find it easily if we forget what to buy, like for level 1 traders, watch here, etc. It would be awesome to see helmets too. More guides, please!
Regarding plates: Durability and effective durability are very different things in tarkov. You have to reference the material coefficient to be able to compare headline durability.
Are they still, though? Tarkov wiki does not list effective durability for plates (at least I couldn't find anything...)

That green level 4 uley rig is actually great because its the only one that doesnt allow you to get one shot by apm 366

I found a spot on Shoreline where you can make the entire fence disappear on your side and still shoot through it and see players on the other side. I'd love for a bigger content creator to showcase it or send it to BSG to get it patched!

I can't prove it but it feels like all of the lower level armors offer more protection. It has made the early wipe much more enjoyable.
Ur right and wrong. The plates of the armours are way more durable, than before meaning if the shot doesn’t pen u can shoot them way more, but less of u is protected than before
That's because the vast majority of ammo at trader 2 is less than 30 pen, so even tier 3 will stop a few rounds.
annnnd now the price of kirasa’s will be through the roof😂 ‘twas bound to happen eventually.

the sell all scav feature they added awhile back really improved the quality and selection of fence items

@@steezydan8543 making money is so easy as a scav so paying Fence prices for early game isn't that bad, I used it to get way better ammo than what level 1 traders had for most of my early levels
The Uleys clearly say 'aramid and ceramic plates'. They aren't just soft armor. Granted, they share a durability pool, which makes them innately less desirable than removable plates. But they are still viable and cover more compared to plate carriers

As long as you're not wearing it, yes. If it's on the ground there's a new "Modding" interaction you can perform on it.

I honestly feel this video is a bit backwards, armors with plates feel like paper and armors with just aramid are absolute tanks. I’m lvl 50 and I’ve been field testing zabalos, korunds, reduts and more, but tier 5 plates no matter what seem to never protect me and I usually just get 2 tapped by ps, but when I wear rat rigs, as long as they don’t pen the tier 4 you can actually tank shots. Just in my Past 2 deaths btw: zabralo 2 tapped by lps in thorax, osprey tier 5 2 tapped by ps 7.62x39. The one thing I will say is plates are very good against bosses as they will usually aim dead center
gen4 high mobility will be go to late wipe for players with max str who arent bothered by weight barder only for 6 GP coins and it have high collar then redut-M and or defender-2 they are all barder available and use same armour plates unlike gzhel/zhuk flee only and specific plates

I've always liked the Thor, I'm a Thor Hipster.
Also. The green uley is goated. Only armor in the game with L4 soft armor on your whole body besides neck. When you can only buy class 4 plates until high level, it's a fair argument to make other than blunt damage, the uley has the same if not better protection than a korasa with L4 plates. And the Uley on the flee regularly goes for 40k. 40k L4 armor, or 50k for a korasa and spend another 60k on L4 plates. Just seems silly.

Press armor is where its at. Side and chest plates, with soft neck.....i run lvl 4 platts in it.
I believe the press is still bugged unless I missed something, the front plate isn't registering.

I'm lvl 53 I used to run the ospreys and defenders, but now I just run pacas. Pointless buying good armour to continuously get 1 tapped by all ammo types to the chest.
Im about to start doing this I have only had my plates stop a shot 4 or 5 times this wipe
@squidwardo7074 sure I've had a few times good armour saved me. But had far more deaths getting 1 tapped

the best armor is 6b5, crazy how a lvl 1 can run that armor and tank 5 shots of .338 AP. 6b5 Uley on top till they figure out wtf bullets react to armor.

Honestly this wipe has been my best wipe overall. Been hitting rogues hard as scav and getting great armor rigs and decent weapons. Let me save alot of money on gear and has let me use those rubles for keys and hideout gear.

Those rigs have very poor protection, lots of unarmoured spots. What you see is essentiallly what you get now

Plates durability is not that important, you basically want to have UHMWPE plates even thou they have less durability.

You missed a lot of important armor selections pre-level 15. There is actually an entire meta gaming behind pre 15 regarding armor. The best armor pre-15 is actually the MF-UNTAR body armor which gives you class 3 protection in your stomach, thorax, back, and sides for just 2 max energy drink. Since it's so easy to obtain, the devs balanced it by giving it huge penalties.
If the penalties are too great, the next best alternative is the BNTI Zhuk body armor (Press) which has class 2 neck and side protection. You can easily craft this armor once you unlocked the lavatory level 1. You only need to find a Grand Juice to barter for the plate and Vita juice for the slickers which are then bartered for the scav vests which are then used to craft the material needed for the lavatory craft. That's two armor pieces you can craft/barter just by looting food.
There is an entire meta game pre 15 and I have 100 hours into the game biding my time and I'm only level 12.
i think you really missed the mark with the green uley rig, tier 4 everywhere is so much better than a plate that covers center chest only with lvl 2 on the outsides.
I get that the armor stuff is confusing and new but you should have given this one more thought. Some of your takes here just dont make any sense.
you're completely wrong about the 6B5-15. Sure its soft armor, no plates, but its still lvl4 and stops the same rounds as the lvl 4 plates. the difference is it covers the entire front chest instead of just the small area of the plate. Much larger lvl 4 coverage than the rigs with plates.
The thing is that armor with plates also have soft armor, so bullets have to pen both plate and soft armor, it reduces pen and damage way more than just soft armor, so it's just 2 different choices: having stronger armor where the plate is, or having slightly more coverage but weaker armor.

People are just vendoring them for 160k to ragman. Slicks are possibly the worst armor in the game now. All plate carriers are. The plates go into armor with better soft cover like kirasa
And high tier plates can't be sold, so they remove them to sell the armor
