Shame they chose not to do the long credit roll...judging from the music after the funding, they had enough time for that...usually at a fast (but not too fast) speed.
I will always remember Paul Kangas' famous speech he'd be like “I’m Paul Kangas wishing you the best of good buys.” truly a classic Paul Kangas the Gennai for PBS
What Paul was saying in his closing was a truly original play on words. What he was really saying was, "... I'm Paul Kangas wishing all of you the best of good buys".
@@mamatemari6061 One evening in 1994 while on a business trip, I was at LaGuardia Airport in New York waiting for a flight to Miami, Florida when I saw Paul Kangas in the waiting area sitting on a seat with his leg propped up on his knee, holding a leather-bound notebook and making notations in the notebook with a pen. It was so surreal and I did not dare approach him out of respect for his privacy. I can only assume that he was in New York on business for the New York operations for the Nightly Business Report. Cassie Seifert was the New York NBR anchor at that time and those two made a GREAT team. Mr. Kangas eventually boarded a flight to Miami that left earlier than my Miami flight did. All the while I was gazing at him sitting there in that airport boarding area waiting for his flight, I could literally hear in my head this Nightly Business Report theme music! That was over 27 years ago and I have never forgotten that night at LaGuardia Airport! --- John
