+bassl0va Except that each piece has a specific angle that that anchor thingy is hanging down at. The ones in the middle go almost straight down while the edge ones are angled. It'll be like solving the worlds most precise puzzle to put it all back.
This is scary cool. A true marvel of 3D engineering. You always impress me with your designs Oskar, and this one is clearly your best. My only complaint is the fact that it costs a total of $2,644.40. But that's just a testament to its sheer complexity and awe.
huzi37709 Thank you. Your response is so different from my fellow countrymen, who prefer to comment about my (awful) Dutch accent instead of the achievement shown in the video.
if i bought this cube i would spray paint the black edges matching the centers just so i can say here oskar.. now i finally make people happy cause its a cube where you solve edges and not just the centers! haha im sure the chinese are gonna steal your design just like they did the v cubes
Currently, some of the most innovative and novel twisty puzzles are designed by Chinese experts like MF8, Dayan and Smaz. Unfortunately, their brilliant designs are knocked off just as well. All puzzles, both originals and knock-offs are produced in China nowadays.
I keep going back to this. It's amazing how far cube tech has come. I remember wanting big cubes so much as a kid and back then having even a mass produced 9x9 or 8x8 was unheard of, and now I casually have the 8x8 and 9x9 sitting on my desk. Amazing.
Easily my favorite of all your videos. I remember when I first got a Rubik's cube as a kid -- I didn't want to solve it half as much as I wanted to take it apart and find out how it worked! I think that's the difference between a mathematician and a physicist. The mathematician tries to solve the puzzle, and the physicist picks up a screwdriver. :-)
@OskarPuzzle lol i was joking, you have to be the most innovative puzzle creator on youtube, if not the world. Most of the puzzles you make look simple, then you get to scrambling it, and my jaw drops. Please, keep making puzzles forever. I feel a certain need to see new innovative puzzles, and you do exactly that.
hey man!! you are my hero. My 4x4x4 once was dismantled for a little boy and took me somenthing like 45 minutes to assemble it. I can't imagine how hard is going to be reassemble that cube!
You're welcome! Maybe I have misspelling but is because I am from Ecuador. I very like rubik's cubes. And I can give you an idea. Maybe you can make a puzzle with the shape of a city. It would be great! Like the tree puzzle. Well I'm very happy that I'm ralking with the best rubik's creator in the world. Respond me please! I admire you!!! Have a good day.
And here I am 9 years later with a mass produced 19x19 on my desk. It's not cheap, but it is nice. I have no intention of disassembling it though. It is interesting to see older big cubes in the present as well. :-)
12 years after this video was uploaded I finally found it - I think I have watched a solving video many years ago... After I have recently met Louis Toorenburg in Rawene I found to your youtube channel. 🙂
+Zaniel “Change Man” GoodBuger That is very rude, considering that he took time out of his life to produce puzzles that give other's entertainment. Oskar, if you are reading this, please continue!
At the time when V-Cube made that statement, it was true. The V-Cube mech is a great innovation, which inspired me to my version. Actually, it is also spherical+conical, like V-Cube, but with additional notches against popping. Oskar
Wow...I actually learned something today! Haha well thanks for replying hope my comment didn't offend your awesome cube. I guess there's a lot of things I have to learn when it comes to money...
Simply amazing, i love all ur toys, they are much more useful than those that are sold today in the market, all of them are out of this world and want many of this stuff for when I have children, also hope that someday you can become rich,i wish you success, u deserve it
Thanks! You can find several volunteers at the Twisty Puzzles Forum, who would be happy and competent to assemble the puzzle for you. A Japanese puzzle friend even offers such puzzle assembly as a professional service.
Thank you for your message. Note that the parts are 3D-printed. But otherwise, you are correct. By the way, I have made an explaining video (see "Half Turn Tetra, the making of"). However, this won't get people off my back. After all, what is easier, making an uninformed comment or search for a video with the answer :-).
Actually the middle pieces are printed in a colored material, probably plastic, while the edges are printed black and need to be stickerd. This is because printing multi color pieces is more difficult and would cost more.
SuperTutorials385 haha that dudes just an asshole. I was wondering the same thing. Nut everyone knows everything about designing and building custom cubes. I just solve haha
lordsofrock2 i believe the original design of the puzzle was just the colored centers. someone besides this guy thought about coloring the edges as well.
People dont seem to realize that these things are so expensive because they are custom printed and hand built. Can you imagine how long these things can take to carefully pop together? He also has to buy molds for each type of piece he uses, which are costly. And some of these puzzles cant be stickered, meaning he has to pay more to have them printed. Also, he has to make a profit, so do the math. Oskar, you need to make a video explaining all of this in detail. Might get ppl off your back :D
It doesn't matter how old this gets, it'll never stop being impressive as hell. Oskar himself will never cease being impressive as hell too.
Thank you!
tbh it's probably quicker to rebuild it than to solve it
+bassl0va id rather solve it... just thinking about all of the sorting you would have to do rebuilding it
lol
you are correct
+bassl0va Except that each piece has a specific angle that that anchor thingy is hanging down at. The ones in the middle go almost straight down while the edge ones are angled. It'll be like solving the worlds most precise puzzle to put it all back.
Lmaooo have you ever solved one?
*dissasembles it*
Jose - "I forgot to press record"

I LOVE YOUR ACCENT! ITS SO LIKEABLE!
huzi37709 Thank you. Your response is so different from my fellow countrymen, who prefer to comment about my (awful) Dutch accent instead of the achievement shown in the video.
We can here you loud and clear. Where in the Netherlands do you live?
TeamZelid West coast :-)
+OskarPuzzle mooi gemaakt! zeker geprint? en je accent doet er niet toe, goed engels praten wel!
+OskarPuzzle HEt is gewoon op z'n Nederlands, niks mis mee, doe ik ook
after one of these puzzles is printed, how long does it take to assemble the entire cube?
Oh wow! Fancy seeing you here. Btw, you should apply for youtube verification. :)
if i bought this cube i would spray paint the black edges matching the centers just so i can say here oskar.. now i finally make people happy cause its a cube where you solve edges and not just the centers! haha im sure the chinese are gonna steal your design just like they did the v cubes
*****
How is that racist...

since all the edges are black would that mean that the edges do not actually contribute to the completeness of the puzzle?
Correct for this version.
+OskarPuzzle lol
Easily my favorite of all your videos. I remember when I first got a Rubik's cube as a kid -- I didn't want to solve it half as much as I wanted to take it apart and find out how it worked! That's gonna be a bitch to put back together
allthingsd.com/files/2012/02/YOU_DONT_SAY.png
Yeah it kinda hurt watching him take that apart.
Katzen4u It's gonna hurt even more to put it back together.
he knew what it looked like in the middle so he must have took it apart and put back together before he made the video.
I have respect for him.
Zach O'Donnell oh wow
Oh my goodness. Putting that back together is going to be the nightest of mares. Every single one has its own precise position.
I would really like to see you take all those pieces shake them up in a bag, sort and re-assemble them for a speed challenge.
speedcubing but instead of actually solving it you just reassemble the puzzle
@PurpleShirtEyeStab Yes, really!
mommy, how are babies made...
4:51
Omg hahahah Lol rofl 😂😂😂
From the amount of parts you took out I wouldn't be surprised you're still putting it back together to this day xD
Remind me to not have Oskar as a brain surgeon.
:-)
it's crazy
Lunessia I don't think you need reminding :)
I would like to remind you not to use any youtube content creator or any other non brain surgeon. for your brain surgery.
hey man!! you are my hero. My 4x4x4 once was dismantled for a little boy and took me somenthing like 45 minutes to assemble it. I can't imagine how hard is going to be reassemble that cube!
"A lot of screwing, fun to do if you don't have to do it all the time"
Jeremy Soo thats what she said!!!!1
Jeremy Soo I laughed so hard at this! XD Thank you! :D
+KillerKidz9 Then he explains how it goes very deep.
Jeremy Soo op.l .
This Guinness World Record sample was sponsored by Shapeways.
ur breaking the 15,000 dollar cube!
This looks like it would be a lot of fun to take apart and put back together! I think I'd enjoy that more than doing the actual puzzle xD
"alot of screwing" xD
dang someone beat me to it
Neokiller333 Sorry mate ! xD
Michiel Willemse You can see how deep the bolt goes...
... killed it -.-
"Its fun to do if you don't have to do it all the time"
You are a genius Oskar!!! You are the best rubik's creator!!!
NICONACA NACHO Thank you!
That is just a trip to watch
Thank you so much Oscar, for making great videos and making puzzles everyday I hope I can meet you someday!
4:53-5:14 Giggity
LOL LOL LOL LOL
5 years later, and I got to make it 69. Feels good
I ruined it by making it 70
I dont have enough cubes removed mine. Your move.
Still amazed by this after 12 years, amazing work oscar!
Well just look on the bright side of solving the thing, NO EDGE PARODY, WOO!!!
i would rather have parity on this than double parity on 6x6
And there I was thinking that my V Cube 5 would never truly look small.
This really is an incredible piece of work!
It's gonna take you longer to put that mad box back together.
Such a geek...you deserve a big applause for this beautiful creation!
Wow, interesting. But you really think you can get it together again?
Das möchte ich nicht zusammenbauen müssen.
He is the original maker of the 17x17 so he assembled it all by himself before this.
he designed and built it....so i assume he can put it together again lol
3D-printed nylon, using Shapeways SLS technology.
the small orange pieces look like carrots :p
seasoned french fries
+Icy Uranus more like a carrot
Winston Ong sweet potato seasoned French fries
And here I am 9 years later with a mass produced 19x19 on my desk. It's not cheap, but it is nice. I have no intention of disassembling it though. It is interesting to see older big cubes in the present as well. :-)
His faja must be very proud.
@InFectDeFIB See description, 3D-printed by Shapeways.
How the hell could you put them all back together? omg
He doesn't. He's the original creator of the cube
You are my favourite designe, Oskar
Thank you!
I want to dip these orange pieces into yoghurt sauce and eat them.
they look edible
They really do look like carrot sticks.
Excuse me; what.
12 years after this video was uploaded I finally found it - I think I have watched a solving video many years ago...
After I have recently met Louis Toorenburg in Rawene I found to your youtube channel. 🙂
The price of this puzzle would be .........
$8,756.94
More than my mom's car that we have had for 2 years, and she is still making payments.
Wow that's a cheep car
Yeah, it was used.
???? Explain please.
Paulthefonz I bought my car for $1500, and I've had it for over 2 years almost no problems.
Kyogre Cubing | ikyogre1 Now its only $2645.90
1st time of hearing a dutch accent and it was pretty AMAZING
i want to see you put it back together
Nice job with the 17 by 17 Oskar
why did you use a flathead screw?
+Hamilton Karl Cheap and abundant in my area.
+Zaniel “Change Man” GoodBuger That is very rude, considering that he took time out of his life to produce puzzles that give other's entertainment. Oskar, if you are reading this, please continue!
+Connor Ford He's probably joking.
***** I think he stopped, this is good.
Congrats on your World Record Oskar!!!
Looking forward to new puzzles coming out soon!
+OskarPuzzle that is untill you meet the 22x22x22 by corenpuzzle
FOCUS THE GODDAMN CAMERA!
bet that was fun putting that together
It was the first time ...
'A lot of screwing' hehehehehehe
Fortunately it's fun to do if you don't have to do it all the time
Phew taking a quick break
ill show you how deeb the bolt goes
😂😂 that woes one of the funny part in the video
"I hope you enjoy the guts of the puzzle". 😂😂😂
Best designer EVER!
"A lot of screwing" LOL geweldig XD
And I thought putting my 3x3x3 back together was a pain, nice job Oskar!
My OCD exploded watching this. I may need a doctor.
JP de la Torre mine did the same thing!
Oskar is like the richest cube designer I've ever seen in my life
Well I cant even assemble my IKEA bed
Hakky LoL
At the time when V-Cube made that statement, it was true. The V-Cube mech is a great innovation, which inspired me to my version. Actually, it is also spherical+conical, like V-Cube, but with additional notches against popping. Oskar
4:50 Thats What She Said!!
he
+Lim fg its a joke.
+Lim fg ok if you don't understand that joke then you are too young to be on youtube😂
Kamarae Haas i understand
I bet she never said that to you...
Wooow, really cool demonstration and puzzle!
Good video!
such an intelligent engineer, and couldn't find a Phillips screw instead of a flathead...??? LOL...
A robertson screw would be better than philips. Robertson is Canadian and Philips is plebian from U.S.A
does anyone else think it would be satisfying to see it put back together?
The orange ones look like carrots
:P
Ikr

Congratulations on your one million views, Oskar!
+fastbreak333 Thank you. I hadn't noticed that. Now I do!
you are really cool
+yeliza gomez Thank you!
+OskarPuzzle you made yourself cooler!
+OskarPuzzle Oscar did u build that if u did props to u and how many puzzles do u have
Wow...I actually learned something today! Haha well thanks for replying hope my comment didn't offend your awesome cube. I guess there's a lot of things I have to learn when it comes to money...
Did you ever get that thing back together?
Yes, it is together again.
OskarPuzzle omg does this cube have 4913 pieces?
Miquel Aparicio Borràs and it cost about 8300 € xD
Miquel Aparicio Borràs yes
NemesisXKL2 no, just 200$
I could not imagine putting that back together!
'a lot of screwing' - Oskar Puzzle 2015

Lol! "A lot of screwing"
fell over laughing when he fallowed that up with "of course its fun to do if you don't have to do it all the time"
an exhausted "huh, taking a short break" doesnt make it better haha :D
The bolt goes in pretty deep
yeah goes in so deep
Thanks! You can find several volunteers at the Twisty Puzzles Forum, who would be happy and competent to assemble the puzzle for you. A Japanese puzzle friend even offers such puzzle assembly as a professional service.
wat joe doe is verie nais!!
Good luck putting that together!
That's awesome but the person operating the camera's breathing is super distracting.

coz he's the fucking creator of this cube, he makes what he wants.
lordsofrock2 i believe the original design of the puzzle was just the colored centers. someone besides this guy thought about coloring the edges as well.
Gotta love that translating. XD
@4:52
that's what she said!
maybe, but not to you
"a lot of screwing"
"I should have brought a spoon"
Gotta love the translating

@MattBrodure Please contact me privately on this order.

hola
Oskar que estas loco oskar, LOCO
Samuel Ponce hablo en ingles pero puedo hablar en espanol.
Those pieces are so long it's like pulling out a tooth!! Your so smart making hundreds of cubes and I love them!
"a lot of screwing" thats what she said
Awesome puzzle Oskar! Thank you for a great channel! Cheers from Sweden!
Wille Thuvesson Thank you!
2400.28€ for one puzzle.. A bit steep for me.
That's insane...
Considering the mass produced Yuxin Huanglong 17x17 is only 750 dollars
This video was an experience.
you can afford to make all these things but you cant afford a good camera?
+jordan torres The 17x17 was sponsored by Shapeways. Also, please have a look at my newer videos in HD.
it fours year old what do you expect
I'd like to see you make a 17x17x17 rubiks cube
@MCMasterChef A full weekend.
This isn't a rubix cube it's a massive 3-D Puzzle :)
I nearly cried
It's so goddamn beautiful. Truly a piece of extrordinary engineering skills.
wow holy crap good job on creating this puzle realy cool how a cube can have lots of pieces and like it
Thank you, this was quite fun to watch and examine.
