Now this is the type of redstone I like. All the parts clearly visible, loads of symmetry, using a few glowy and pushy blocks to create actual logic, all to make something silly and entertaining. Fair play
amazing storytelling throughout and the finished product is epic beyond proportion. ik the feeling of having a massive project in the background that runs alongside current projects and it's so satisfying to put a lid on it and get it published, congrats and rest up
The song is "Clockwork Crafter (Steampunk)" from the Legacy Console Edition Battle Mini Game soundtrack by Gareth Coker. But I must admit, it is perfect for redstone showcases. XD
I know it changes the redstone quite alot, but you could have used calibrated sculk sensors to detect when you rotate the map itself in the item frame. You can only rotate in one direction, but still, it would have been really cool.
As someone who in the past year or so learned how to solve a cube, and slowly getting faster at it, and someone who has developed an amazing interest into technical Minecraft, this is absolutely amazing and I love it.
Hand reveal fr :] So glad your cube is finished :D It's really interesting and fortunate for me to see a bit of the behind the scene of your cube. Thanks Purplers!!

Oh man, I'm not a speed cuber, but I do love solving rubik's cubes, have a little collection, so I love this video. I have a few ideas that I want to try myself, it sounds like you're moving stickers into the correct places, but what if we actually move pieces? Each corner has only 8 possible positions, edge 12 and centers 6, this way you can probably send less data and just decode it in each face to show the correct colors hopefully making it faster, I also have some more ideas but no idea how it'd work, I have to sit to it and try out Cubes and redstone, this will be fun!!!
I have nothing to say because this is so incredible. Im just commenting to boost engagement and hopefully get more people to see this feat of engineering
This actually makes me wonder, how popular is speed cubing exactly... Because I was not expecting to find someone I already knew to turn out to be a speed cuber as well!
I wonder who was the person that decided to use Clockwork Crafter. It says craftymasterman, mattbattwings, and sipover helped with producing the video so it could be any of those 3 or sammy himself. If it was sammy, I gotta say, both the Jelly Castle remix and Clockwork Crafter were great choices.
It's so cool learning that a you and a particular content creator have multiple shared interests, like when I learnt that Crafty played Geometry Dash, and how Purplers is a speedcuber.
Create multiple copies of the world, destroy everything except 1 part of the build in each of them, so you have each part isolated Then record them all with replay mod, keyframe your camera path in 1 of them and copy/paste it to all the other replays Then align them in editing and play around with the translucency
I barely ever comment on this website but this is just an awesome video!! I can't remember the last time I hit the subscribe button because a video told me to, but I feel like you put the prompt to subscribe in just the right spot of the video where I had just gotten super engaged so I did. This is a huge and impressive project, love it! The camera movements starting around 9:23 are just so dang smooth bro! Anyways yea, banger video
Only 5 bits would need to be used to identify which piece it is as theres only 20 movable pieces, then only 2 bits would need to be used per bit chain to identify its rotation. If you have register positions corresponding to each location on the cube, it would be extremely easy to create a program that would swap out registers and change rotation. My recommendation for display would be to set up a system to dispense entities such as boats, minecarts, or armorstands with different trims and colors to represent each of the colors, if not, flying machines could cover a striped pattern instead of a whole one within the gaps.
