- It’s a new month, and time for a new commenter day! Suggested by Litium, I’m building biomes to match the four celestial pillars; nebula, vortex, solar, and stardust.

*Boss themed houses*

Edit: I have done this myself, but I think khaidos could do it better
oh man I have to do that myself sometime and would love to see what khaos would have in mind for some of the bosses - considering there's plenty of bosses, a town with some personality/look of each boss in there might be more manageable though if kept on a smaller scale

Here's my idea
How about some sort of afterlife home for the Guide, after his sacrifice to the Wall of Flesh
Just a nice little cottage with a nice garden, with a perennial sunset in the background and a bench next to a tree; all inside a bubble (metaphorical, not actual bubble blocks) of matter inside the endless vast expanse of the void that is the Afterlife
Just eternal peace for the friend that was there from the very beginning, and that sacrificed himself in order to help you free the land from its evils
You know you're talking to the guy who puts the guide in spiked cages over pools of lava, right? >.> hehe
It doesn't help that the game hands Guides like cheap cigars and that the Wall of Flesh is one of the most farmed bosses :(

then he respawns, forcefully taken from his peaceful life, only to be sacrificed once again....hey, gotta get that ranger emblem somehow.

The wall is just a pathetic cake walk. But the Cyberdemon........That is what needs to be finished.

These lunar biomes could spawn when moonlord is defeated? I personally think that would be cool
@@whitbee2253 well that wouldnt really work, it would work like the hallow, blanketing over regular areas rather than creating new ones. To make terrain unique to the biome, it'd have to be created at world generation

Perhaps you could do something entirely underground for the next commenter day, like an abandoned excavation site with a huge drilling machine.
You did an excellent job with this build, like you always do. I cant wait to see what you do next.
okay here is just an idea of improvment on the nebular biome:
you could have made it look like the islands had been ripped of the ground so it's small craters under them!
edit: loved the build especelly the solar one
The focuse of that build seemed to just be in the islands not the surrounding environment

I love this month's commenter day build. For next time you could make an underwater temple or ruins. It would look really cool. P.s. What if you couldn't use gray sandstone in this build?
Then I'd just settle for stone. I'm just not as much of a fan of the texture is all. To get the heat waves, I'd bury copious amounts of sand under the dirt in the solar biome.
@@Khaios I'm not an expert at painting but wheenever I try to paint dirt or stone it doesn't work, I don't know why your reply made me think of that but there's probably a reason
@@throatychunk Stone bricks and slabs do not respond to normal colors, you need deep paints to make them colorful. The best fallback is sandstone slabs and other colored bricks.
how about doing the '' biome '' of the events?
example: the goblin city, the pirate ship, the aliens' platena

Bit of an odd suggestion, but could you make small houses for every summon weapon. Eg. Bee hive for hornet or fish bowl for sharknado
The Crystal trees looks great, as did everything. Maybe do a refurbished jungle temple next?

A giant ziggurat temple in the jungle, and at the top is a house for the witch doctor. You could also build a village outside it for the rest of the npcs.
I don't know if you've played Monster Hunter, but there is creature in the games known as a Dalamadur. The reason I bring this up is because they're rather large, and their corpses can create entire ecosystems. My build recommendation then would be a town built around a Dalamadur's skeletal remains, or just serpentine skeletal remains in general.
Crimson would probably be the best biome for this given the water turns to blood.

Literally found you thanks to Chippy, and I really love your work. I have been having a lot of trouble with making a Castlevania inspired build, and while I do have a fair amount of inspiration from some of your work, I just can't seem to make a good "save room" from Symphony of the Night.
Funny enough I think I found a way to finally make it work. And I would not have thought of it at all if I hadn't seen your videos. Thanks a ton!

“New home” from Undertale. In case you haven’t played the game, (if that’s the case BUT you want to play this game in the future you’ll probably have to abandon this idea because you’ll face major spoilers looking for all the details for this build on the internet, or build it after you have completed the game in case you’ll still want it xd). But, with all my hopes and dreams, I’m making this request. It will be really cool to see which look you’ll give to this house because not only the game is in 2D, but also you’re not given much information about the outside part of the house, so it will be up to you. Oh, and the inside is also very important, because it gives us a lot of significant info about the plot...Sorry I’ve talked for so long..fingers crossed..

Wow! Im new to Terraria build videos (this is the 2nd ever that Ive watched) and Im at close to 700 hours played in game. This was great. Loved your interpretations of each biome
Vortex looks the least involved, guess I you didnt like the color scheme.
Nebula is the best looking one with solar coming close though I think the floating theme fits more with the vortex since it has mechanics around being stuck in the air.
Personally, I liked stardust most in-game.
A temple or anthropomorphic build dedicated to Cthulhu!
Different parts of the temple or build could be dedicated to different Cthulhu bosses, such as the Brain, the Eye, and the Moon Lord himself

These were spectacular, and I'll say that the Nebula one was probably my favorite. The Stardust one was a little disappointing, though; it just felt like a more advanced snow biome.

I would love to see a Dalaran city proof-of-concept in your style; magical floating city, white marble/brick, crystals, towers, purple blue rose white gold creme colors.
Or something that really represents the fantasy, beauty and color of magic, without being almost cartoony or gritty.

I think i got an interesting idea
A skyisland but its a steampunk harbour where blimbs can refill their water tanks and charcoal. It could be interesting.

When they first came out, I put one in my base, went out exploring, forgot about it, and freaked out when I got back home and saw a pillar background >.< hahahaha

The first is the worst. Solar pillar has to be the worst event in the game.

Raptor Peep Yeeeeah, forcing you back into the very beginning of the game where you couldn’t do anything but walk and jump is not only uninteresting, it’s actively infuriating.
Also, fuck those enemies who deflect your projectiles back at you. The event punishes you for using your mobility options and pressing M1.
If I ever doubted anything you're making, doubt is all gone now.
Be cool to see possibly some In depth general terraforms for maybe a wider area, without so many super complex houses and structures, but if you could think of some cool biomes and landforms, similar to in this video, maybe like a revamp of existing biomes and caves?
That's on a list of a big project I'd like to do someday :D

My idea: A complete remake of either the underground Corruption or Crimson, with maybe a few structures as well.
A bucket list build of mine is to make custom biomes for all the biomes in a small world. Would be a massive project, though, and would definitely come after 1.4 releases, haha

An abandoned city? Like if the earth was abandoned for hundreds of years after humanity left for the stars. things like old skyscrapers and a broken space elevator.

Ok, so here’s my idea, what if you built like some sort of pirate island
a good idea for the stardust biome would have been to have a bunch of spheres around the monolith, with either background walls or actuated blocks connecting the spheres to the monolith (thinning out at the center) seeing as the stardust tower is summoner themed and all :D

Imagine if terraria had biomes like this through out ur journey (creation to moon lord) and then u take on a challenge to unlock the items from it (the dust/fragments) instead of the pillars that spawn if u like it or not

So, basically two biomes for KS and EoC.
Each of the 4 glowing mosses match up with the color scheme of the pillars (krypton and vortex leave a little to be desired though)

For the next build you should do a reconstruction of Dirtmouth from the game Hollow Knight! The art style of that game is so amazing and I’m sure you could capture it with your amazing builds!

I just came up with an idea. Maybe you can do some sort of Cthulhu Worship altar for the cultist and make it look like they're worshiping a tower of Cthulhu in the center.

Stardust and solar where perfectly done. I feel the vortex should be more dense, jungle. And the purple one was fine. Dont love the smoke in it.

Not yet. I want to do a modded playthrough first, so I can learn some of whatever mod I'll be using before I get focused on building. Really looking forward to Chad's Furniture and More tho

Don't worry about how good or bad you are. Compared to other builders, like Rulick, I'm not that great. But I don't let that get me down! Just focus on having fun, and the more you build, the better you'll get ^.^

How was it to work on this build, khaios? Given that it is more 4 smaller builds on a theme than one bigger connected build.
It was fun. Different. I just turned on a monolith, and stared at the background trying to imagine what the biome in front of it might look like, then moved onto the next before getting started on builds ^.^

Awesome job. As for my recommendation, I'd like to see a futuristic sky tower. Maybe not in the space biome necessarily, but still has a sky theme. (Sort of like the Sanctuary Fortress from Metroid Prime 2) Putting it in the jungle or the ocean biome would be optimal, but otherwise the sky's the limit! (Literally)

For the commenter day suggestion, I'm thinking of a giant tree capable of housing most, if not all the npcs. Would be cool to see your style of tree bumped up in size. :D
A larger spider themed biome, including massive stretching webs and such. Something that would make you think: "This place seems important, perhaps there is a boss here"

PS: do you think there's a "graveyard biome" coming in the upcoming update? I've seen that trailer and when players were dying the background got creepy and when there were enough graves, zombies started spawning even during the day! ...or did i get that part wrong?

Believe in yourself! It just takes time and practice. Don't get caught up on comparing your builds with others, just take what you can learn from other builders, and have fun implementing them in your worlds in your own way! As long as you have fun, and keep at it, your still will develop and improve ^.^ Keep it up!
