Hey Luca, I am watching your video from the hospital, waiting for my wife to go into labor (our first child). I watch you every day to kill the stress, today extra stress! Thank you for your work
Hi Donnie, good luck to you and your wife. You are both in the best place to have your baby and are surrounded by loads of medical professionals who deliver babies daily. You're both going to be fine. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you both.
@@timothygalvin3021it's not for us to judge why he can't be in the room with her right now. It's wholly not unusual, not solely up to him, and they really don't need this right now
One of the best pilots out of all the creators I watch and I love that you call out play lines. Also you do the math that most do not or at least out loud. Keep up the good work man, cheers!
Another great video from the best in the business. Would love to see some Limited again one day, Duskmourn is one of the best Limited sets in a while. Thank you.
It can be good in certain matchups, but without other ways to protect our creatures it's not the most reliable answer. Now that red decks have more burn spells than before the Leyline ban it makes Auras more risky.
I use a less bat focused version of this deck running Knight of Dawn's Light as a sort of second leyline that also works pretty well against the aggro pump decks
Love the videos. 🎉 you talk in a calm manner and articulate. I get tired of other people talking fast or screaming omg or ohhhh it hurt my ears when listening with headphones. So that you keep up the greats decks and videos
Match 5 is a perfect example of the fact that it does actually take skill to win with the mono red deck. If the pump spells were used differently they could have pulled that one out.
@LegenVD I think you're right. Starscape can't block. The only thing it might do is soak up some single target removal. And it only does 1 damage per 'heal'. But the Enduring Tenacity is basically Sanguine Blood. And it can chump block. It might be 'strictly better' than Starscape. But I think your calculus on it being a 'win more' card in both cases might be dead on. Thanks for the feedback.
Your missing golden sidekick man bat white black It’s seriously OP in life gain decks I built one with cats and having a insane win rate with it right now
At 26:26 if the red player sacrifices the scamp to take out the bat you lose. As it went, if he had put the both felonious rages on the scamp and sacrificed you would have gone to one and he gets one less token. If he kills the bat instead, he get the monstrous rage back and has 19 points of trample versus your 13 life and a 3/3 on his next attack. IF he draws a land that he did. Otherwise he has 14 points of trample and you live if you block as you did. The life gain of the leyline and the case tips the decision scale in this case. To be fair, one is not zero and he got an extra token so the decision at 27:33 is reasonable once he doesn't kill the bat. Just goes to show red players need to be good at math understand draw percentages. Making that calculation is tough real time though. The red player has my sympathies.
Played it in the previous build of the deck! It's always a tricky balance between having enough lifegain and enough card draw. With Leyline there's now less room for those extra cards. But between Augur, Zoraline and the solved Case there's still plenty of card advantage to go around.
DO NOT BUILD. I REPEAT DO NOT BUILD. Maybe those kind of decks are nice to see in internet..but they do not work. Unfortunately in the most trash arena standard in history there only certain decks that you can play...!
The deck cannot advance in this trash ladder unfortunately. I respect you and other creators that try to give an alternative option of other decks...but we live in time of mtg decadence. The game is not a skill game anymore...! Standard is uninspired and boring and you see only 2-3 types of decks that kiddos copied from internet lists...! Of course developers are responsible for all this circus...! I play mtg almost 25 years...and im very disappointed that after all i have to quit...! I liked to play this game couse of creativity...not to chase arenas algorithms....is a joke...! Keep trying inspire all these kiddos...and may you succeed one day...good luck
"managed to get there just before sunfall" very poetic

congrats on the baby my man and gl!
Dude, your wife probably needs some moral support right now, put the phone down and be in the moment.
Wishing your new family all the best!

BREAKING NEWS: A SECOND LEYLINE JUST HIT THE ARENA
TURN ON THE TV! IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT CHANNEL!
STRAIGHT OUT OF THE HAND AND ONTO THE BATTLEFIELD
I've played agaisnt this deck 5 times in the past half hour, so at least we know people are watching the video. xD
hi LVD, i really liked your rottenmouth deck so i used it as my first deck on MTGA, got into platinum tier 3 prety fast! so thank you!
Glad to hear!
Keep going brotha, love your narration and play calling always 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of the best pilots out of all the creators I watch and I love that you call out play lines. Also you do the math that most do not or at least out loud. Keep up the good work man, cheers!
24:47 Ah yes, the classic Enduring Innocence + Rest in Peace “combo” 🤪
So strange indeed. I was wtf are those doing in the same deck?
"Straight to voicemail" took me a second, thanks for the laugh. I've been playing a similar deck for a while, it's a lot of fun.
Another great video from the best in the business. Would love to see some Limited again one day, Duskmourn is one of the best Limited sets in a while. Thank you.
Nice deck! Sheltered by ghosts probably fits well in it as well given that half of the creatures don't have lifelink
It can be good in certain matchups, but without other ways to protect our creatures it's not the most reliable answer. Now that red decks have more burn spells than before the Leyline ban it makes Auras more risky.
best mtga channel out there! keep it up

Your videos are so awesome, so many great deck ideas!
25:06 the exact moment our opponent realized their deck doesn't in fact work the way they thought it would, happens to all brewers out there =)
looking forward to this and some angels from foundations
Really enjoyed the deck and how close some games were.
5:41 As it turns out, another ruin-lurker was indeed bat.
In real life, you can be positive and think about how the sun will rise again, but in MTG you have to worry knowing the sun is always about to fall.
Leyline in historic with Righteous angel is nice.
Surprised the black glimmer didn't make the deck to add some drain effect with all the lifegain
Seems like lifegain will gain a lot of power in the upcoming set(s).
Match 5 is a perfect example of the fact that it does actually take skill to win with the mono red deck. If the pump spells were used differently they could have pulled that one out.
without the leyline yeah it takes some skill
hello and welcome to another standard video, hhhhhhhh
just finished my computer science homework, only took me 12 hours, im not crying. Thank god you just uploaded
hhhhhhhh provides a lot of value
Hmm. Now I’ll have to check if i put this in a vampire lifegain deck.
Lifegain leyline ftw.
*Sees Leyline in the title*
Oh no am I dead on turn 2?
This leyline says you're still alive on turn 2.
the papercut man approves this video
I hope you will update this deck with FDN. Looks like a lot of lifegain potential coming
That -1 life game. Wow
I think lunar congregation might be better than auger, however auger is more reliable as a body
Yeah immediately triggering the Case or Twins is super important. Convocation is good in slower metas, would definitely have some in the sideboard.
Life gain without Ajani's Pride Mate is like an Oreo with a cream center. It's a good thing that still just disappoints. 😊
🦇
Nice
I think that the deck is solid, but Really needs some form of Enchantment removal.
Hey! Do you think enduring tenacity would fit somewhere in this deck?
Do leyline of transformation!! Leyline of transformation!!
Leyline of transformation with corpses of the l9st sounds like that could be fun
Could have animated the land at 11:15 to get the kill :)
Needed one more mana.
Oh true I thought it was 3 mana to animate.... My bad haha
I'm used to my bats having more 'healing causes damage' effects. This one is lacking much of that. Maybe even 2x Enduring Tenacity.
We already have Strascape Cleric if we want that effect. They tend to be win-more cards that don't help when you're behind.
@LegenVD I think you're right. Starscape can't block. The only thing it might do is soak up some single target removal. And it only does 1 damage per 'heal'.

5:44 indeed it isn't bad, it's bat
ok sorry
Enduring Tenacity would make this a lot better as you'd be pinging with the damage, right?
We already have Strascape Cleric if we want that effect. They tend to be win-more cards that don't help when you're behind.
Turn 1 Plains, gain and drain pleases my brain. Value.
Your missing golden sidekick man bat white black It’s seriously OP in life gain decks I built one with cats and having a insane win rate with it right now
That card isn't Standard legal, you're probably playing Alchemy.
Ahhh historic lol
Man, match 5 really shows how strong red was if such a drooling player could reach platinum...
How far ranking wise would this deck take me, is it worth crafting?
You can get to Mythic with a ham sandwich given enough time and practice. Will this get you there the fastest? Probably not.
@LegenVD you mentioning the ham sandwich reminds me of playing Spider-Man 2 with Brice Campbell narrating
Any reason why you keep double blocking non-menace creatures?
Probably to make sure he kills thw creature. There's a possibility the opponent runs combat tricks, especially in mono red
Trample tricks!
At 26:26 if the red player sacrifices the scamp to take out the bat you lose. I would think gix to be a very powerful card in this deck.

@LegenVD I agree, thank you for the reply and giving me your reasoning :). Cheers from Italy. 😃
