So you won’t reach 100k a year . Also let’s not forget the work is tougher than trucking. It’s physically exhausting. You can open your business once you have the huge capital needed to open the company. So in short let’s not make the skill trade like trucking. Be realistic. If everyone was making so much money won’t you think everyone will be doing it .
i work in kitchen, earning 23$ an hour and i was thinking about getting into trade bc i dont want to work with pork or wine because indont consume, do you think painting and drywall is good? what’s yoir field of work

In some province union is much better to work with but i live in alberta and union is not as strong here. Union gives you more job security and more hours. Requirement of any trade apprentice is high school just find your interest and register with provincial trade authority then find an employer. For working in trades you have to be mentally and physically prepared for morning and night shifts, overtime, sometimes working outside in harsh weather. Most important is that you have to be a permanent resident or citizen to be eligible for apprenticeship.Thank you for value able conversation.
