@@lunacy9825 Not necessarily. During the scene in the cave, in which one Carnotaur gets trapped by the same cave collapse that kills Bruton, the larger Carnotaur manages to break free, looks at Aladar, then roars very loudly before walking out of the cave.
@@YTWarrior100apprently from what I read from another comment is that originally the carno was gonna speak at the end of the movie when it has its face down with the herd
This movie did a lot of things right, and I consider it a masterpiece overall. However, one thing I think it REALLY excelled at was the presentation of fear and panic. Every fight scene or action scene shows that there is truly something at stake, and the characters are all so emotive in portraying that they feel this way. You can really see it in this scene for example at 2:25 with the Pachyrhino and it’s a perfect introduction to what the tone of the film will be. He doesn’t just get chased and caught, he runs scared like everyone else, then you can see him glance and realize that everyone else is outrunning him, and finally it’s all he can do to just make eye contact with the thing that is imminently about to kill him while he begins panicking and hyperventilating. A truly fantastic movie where every detail is thought out
It’s also very accurate to life as predators even apex predators like the carno or T. rex will ambush its prey and either drive off a single prey from the herd to take it down or target the more weaker, tired prey to bring it down which is exactly what the carno did here. Even at the end, notice the carno was unwilling to take the entire herd as it was a serious risk (just like in real life). Disney did their legwork with this movie
Also the fact that there is a consequence to every single time the carnotaur(s) appear on screen. Whether its here at the beginning, or when they appear in the desert to let us know they are tracking the herd too, or when they stalk and attack Bruton and his poor ass accomplice, or when they follow Bruton's scent to the cave and end up causing his death, or one catches Aladar's scent and follows him to the herd, or confronting the herd and end up killing Kron. It would’ve been a gruesome and dark scene if the carnotaurus did manage to catch up to the mother iguanodon. The soft pads on their feet means a T. rex could be within 2 meters of you and you would not know until the T. rex wants you to know. Also, T. rex can weigh 12 tonnes when full grown. Terrifying, isn’t it?
I love that movie. It's like one of my favorite Disney movies from my childhood. I just always thought Jurassic Park was Steven Spielberg's best movie of 1993.
After the mother got on her hind legs, took a couple of sniffs, and saw the birds fly away, she prepared for possible dangers. She separated her eggs to ensure at least one will be untouched. Notice how she hovered over until the last Dino because other dinosaurs are in a panick
What I love of this scene how it shows the beautiful of nature with all the herbivores eating plants and been calm, but also showing the “bad” side with the Carnotaurus attacking. A great movie that a lot of people don’t remember
The fact this movie has gone under the rug and it never gets recognition how underrated this movie is. Sure the carnotaur size is massively inaccurate, but damn it makes the other carnotaurs in movies look small. Who know how Disney managed to pull a dinosaur movie that's not up to par with Jurassic Park, but damn this movie was so good in it's time. Wish people can give this movie respect hopefully be talked bout for the ages
It took me years to realize this whole thing took place in the real world and only the characters were animated. Like Disney used many real life locations like South America and Africa to film this. But they editied it so looked like everything was just one big setting

Personally, I think Kron is more of a villain than the Carnotaurus is. And he was just following and also preserving the rules of the survival of the fittest and natural selection while Carnotaurus and his mate were simply doing what they have been designed to do by nature. So from the certain perspective, Aladar is more of an antagonist from a certain point of view for not only challenging these views and even unintentionally started a revolution against Kron without even giving the reasons why the old ways should be discarded.
That's not now natural selection works. That's not what survival of the fittest means. Aladar isn't antagonist just because he doings better choice for herd. Helping and supporting each other is better than left "weak" behind.
@@ExtremeMadnessX I know that Aladar is not an antagonist. But from Kron's perspective, he is. To him, the survival of the fittest system is still working just fine and he is full believer of it. And then, Aladar suddenly appeared and try to spread the new belief without telling him its merits. And as much as he hated the Carnotaurs, he knows that they are important to the circle of life because too many herbivores can lead to rapid decrease of plants and without plants, they will starved to dead. And that is the point here. To him, the old system still worked just fine and he wanted to maintain the status quo out of fear that new belief might ended up causing the circle of life to break and it might led to all lives in the herd dying. I'm not a believer of old traditions of anything myself. Believe me, I hated my own society and clearly wanted it to change one way or another. However, I have reasons that are clearly justified to hate my own society. But Aladar is trying to change the system without speaking of the actual grievances or giving the reasons to is not a good way to start a change, let alone justifying the rebellion.
Treasure Planet and Atlantis the lost empire were definitely gems. It is a shame, Treasure Planet 2 was supposed to come out a few months after the first one. But it was such a flop at the box office that they couldn't release it.
One thing I really like about this movie is that they used at the time dinosaurs that was pretty unknown to most people, like Carnotaurus, Styracosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus.
The only Disney Villain that's on Par with Dreamworks. -No destroying the world plans -No Megalomaniac -Not a bloodthirsty monster He was literally portrayed as nothing more than a Predator who was trying to survive after a Meteor strike took out it's hunting grounds. *GREATEST DISNEY VILLAIN EVER* (You can also see the prey struggling before it gets ended. Disney was BOLD back in their Prime)
The carnotaurus scared the crud outta me when I was younger. This scene was so terrifying I nowadays put the giganotosaurus from Jurassic world dominion in place of the carnotaurus because they both have scary villainous designs
Aladar did not to know his parents, his mother tried to protect him, Baby Aladar 's journey to Lemurs's island is identical at Moses Baby 's journey, A great destiny waits Aladar who will become a great leader like Simba and Moses, in this movie and in The Lion King, we see Simba and Aladar born and at the end of the movies, we see them become young parents with their mates, Neera and Nala, it's very similar
But luckily Alada survived. The sad thing was that he never got to meet his mother, but she would be proud to know that the one who faced and killed a carnotaur and had his own family.
I haven't seen this movie in 14 years, i was 6 when i first watched it, and this very scene scared me, i just rewatched this movie tonight, and i cried twice

1:35 Why is no one talking about this scene, Can we all appreciate how this Disney Movie gave us a Camouflaging Carnotaurus when Jurassic Park didn’t, sure we got the Indominus Rex Camouflaging but this Carnotaurus Camouflaged is like a reference to Michael Crichton’s Novel “The Lost World”
2:27 The carnotaur almost got Aladar’s mother but she was fortunately faster than the other dinosaur so he growled towards her and changed focused towards the other slow dinosaur
And in the end it was never known what happened to Aladdar's mother, whether or not she survived the meteorite crash or whether some other predator attacked her or if she had been in the pack they would have met again.
This is actually 100% accurate as predators will target the slower weaker dinosaur to take down and not take on something that can cause it injury unless it has to
Speaking of which, they were originally gonna use T rex as the main villian of the film, but then, they decided they needed a different meat-eating dinosaur. So, they used Carnotaurus as the main villian.

The soft pads on their feet means a T. rex could be within 2 meters of you and you would not know until the T. rex wants you to know. Also, T. rex can weigh 12 tonnes when full grown. Terrifying, isn’t it?
@@geoffreyoneil6626 Yeah.
Can we just stop for a moment and appreciate how beautiful the animation is like this is amazing
I've always found this scene so satisfying.
I love that movie. It's like one of my favorite Disney movies from my childhood. I just always thought Jurassic Park was Steven Spielberg's best movie of 1993.
Umm ok. Big whoop
After the mother got on her hind legs, took a couple of sniffs, and saw the birds fly away, she prepared for possible dangers. She separated her eggs to ensure at least one will be untouched.
Notice how she hovered over until the last Dino because other dinosaurs are in a panick
2:34 clever of disney to use dust to censor a kill
It's nature
It's actually their robust body when they slip, they cause giant dust
1:58 was absolutely TERRIFYING when I was a kid.
That carnotaurus burst out the trees like the kool aid man.
2:41 that roar mmmmm good
Mr Krabs: RUN FOR YOUR LIVES EVERYONE IT'S A CARNOTAUR!!!
Now this is a classic scene from an underrated Disney movie.
May Jesus bless you all and lead you to Him.

Why did you copy another comment?
What I love of this scene how it shows the beautiful of nature with all the herbivores eating plants and been calm, but also showing the “bad” side with the Carnotaurus attacking. A great movie that a lot of people don’t remember
I love this movie, I watch it every month.
I can't wait for the clips 🦕🦖
The fact this movie has gone under the rug and it never gets recognition how underrated this movie is. Sure the carnotaur size is massively inaccurate, but damn it makes the other carnotaurs in movies look small. Who know how Disney managed to pull a dinosaur movie that's not up to par with Jurassic Park, but damn this movie was so good in it's time. Wish people can give this movie respect hopefully be talked bout for the ages
I also remember this movie too ever since I use to watch it on Toon Disney back in 2007, and I still loved it no matter what :D
Aladar's mother made a big gamble by protecting her eggs from the stampede and bail only when the Carnotaurus was left, and she almost lost.
She was so close to being the first one killed not once but twice.
It took me years to realize this whole thing took place in the real world and only the characters were animated. Like Disney used many real life locations like South America and Africa to film this. But they editied it so looked like everything was just one big setting
They also used real locations from Florida and Australia
@@Thekidloquendero9745 I was gonna say Australia too but I second guessed myself.
@@dragonsvideos6737 it hard to belive that Disney went from using real locations to use CGI for allmost everything, with few exceptions of course
Dinosaur was a movie too ahead of it's time
@@Thekidloquendero9745 I wish it was longer though. I really wish that we could see more places in their world and maybe more kinds of dinosaurs. Maybe give the carnotaurs some more back stories
Wait what?! They actually real location! No wonder why movie looked so good
Atleast the Carnotaurus didn't bother eating the little Parasaurolophus, and just scared it off. That makes me wonder if she is the mother Parasaurolophus during the end of the movie and survive the meteor blast.
Probably.
Well it's a Disney movie. You actually expect Disney to have a little baby get killed.
@@FrankAustin-hu2bb they did it In Tarzan (1999), around the same time of this movie. I don’t think they wouldn’t with this one, if they really wanted to.
At 2:28 the Carnotaurus, looked at the camera and said watch this😂😂😂
This opening is why the carnotaur is GOAT material.
I remember seeing this in theaters as a kid. My older sister was scared of the Carnatours so she’d close her eyes every time they’d appear, 😂.
same, my younger brother was really scary with that carnotaurus because running fast, biggest than trex, terrible, and make me trauma....this is the only dinosaur that I am most afraid of besides spinosaurus and giganotosaurus...but in reality the size of the carnotaurus is much smaller than this one was biggest and terrorized me😣😣😣
One of my favorite films I remember watching as a kid
Quite a horrifying scene since we get a close up on the fleeing dinosaur face before it gets caught.
The reasons should be pretty obvious.

Iguanodon and Oviraptor
And this movie is the whole reason I was obsessed with dinosaurs for years. Until I saw brother bear lmao and now it’s been bears for nearly 15 years.
The only Disney Villain that's on Par with Dreamworks.
-No destroying the world plans
-No Megalomaniac
-Not a bloodthirsty monster
He was literally portrayed as nothing more than a Predator who was trying to survive after a Meteor strike took out it's hunting grounds. *GREATEST DISNEY VILLAIN EVER*

I remember watching Disney dinosaur on vhs and it was so amazing. It’s still my favorite childhood movie.
Greatest villain introduction in all of cinema
Its so sad how Aladar’s mom tried so hard to cover up her eggs to keep them safe but ended up losing them all 😢
But luckily Alada survived. The sad thing was that he never got to meet his mother, but she would be proud to know that the one who faced and killed a carnotaur and had his own family.
Watching this for the first time as a kid scared the shit out of me. But it also made me love dinosaurs like everyone else who watched it

Why is no one talking about this scene, Can we all appreciate how this Disney Movie gave us a Camouflaging Carnotaurus when Jurassic Park didn’t, sure we got the Indominus Rex Camouflaging but this Carnotaurus Camouflaged is like a reference to Michael Crichton’s Novel “The Lost World”
2:27 The carnotaur almost got Aladar’s mother but she was fortunately faster than the other dinosaur so he growled towards her and changed focused towards the other slow dinosaur
And in the end it was never known what happened to Aladdar's mother, whether or not she survived the meteorite crash or whether some other predator attacked her or if she had been in the pack they would have met again.
This is actually 100% accurate as predators will target the slower weaker dinosaur to take down and not take on something that can cause it injury unless it has to
This is a childhood core
I've seen this movie a lot of times and, even if it's considered as one of the greatest disney's failures, I really like this movie.

The most badass carnotaurus design in motion picture.
