- Seekonk Speedway Spectator Drags sponsored by Troy City Tactical. Independence Day Thrill Show event 7/7/18. Thank you to the track and 43 participants for putting on a great show!!! This was the largest turnout in quite some time. Shoutout to those who made the trip from New York and New Jersey as well!! Huge thank you to one of my good friends Joey for letting me borrow my old camera to make sure the quality was better for this one. Enjoy! -xTBERG
Is this enough variety for you all??? 😆
xTBERG wow that was a crazy day lol. Thanks man as always i appreciate the content 👍
Alex Youngberg Sure was ! Haha it's my pleasure glad you enjoyed!!
No. We need a gtr here :)
Im guess cause your up north nobodys got any toyota pickups that havent rusted in half if i get that far north how much to run? Luved the oldskool supra
Jake Browne haha It's about $25-30 to race depending on the show
Those two bros hugging and then doing donuts together was the most beautiful thing I have seen all day😭
Occurs at the end of the race starting at 23:20
Makes my mullet tingle
I like the fast pace, races back to back, and no long drawn out talking between races....
Same, and it’s a bunch of street cars making it cool
As an old school Pontiac Firebird fan (RIP Pontiac...) I LOVE seeing the old birds out there tearing it up! Good stuff!
The fact that Pontiac died and Chrysler are still somehow allowed to make over manufactured pieces of shit is proof that god isn't real.
Same here. 77 T/A owner
Trans am for life
What I like with this vid is that it is actually edited so that it moves along quite nicely. .
Every state needs a track like this. Why don't we have this here!?!??!
vaultsoferowid Right!?! Haha my favorite style of racing 🤘🏼
Most local roundy round tracks have spectator drags
SP392, I'll have to look into it online. As far as I know all we have are the school bus and demolition races.
Greatest sport ever invented in the history of automobile racing
State? You mean county. Or better... Every high school.
I love the Passat just driving in a circle @ 8:40 lol
😂😂😂
Typical vw oner
Warming up the tires. It’s AWD
Almost as big a naming foul up as Chevy Nova. We’ve always called them the Pass-It
Love seeing all the old Ram Air Pontiacs.
Seeing "old Ram Air Pontiacs" made me feel old 😆
I have a 97 Trans Am that I'm building and I'm planning to put a Ram air hood on it😁😂
I remember when Seekonk was dirt ,I would go with my dad and loved the smell of the rubber when they fist tard the track ,my dad would race there every Saturday,,,,,mom didn't know until one year they sent his papers to our house instead of the shop that's when she found out ,I raced for 2 yrs there and won the derby twice ,,,,,great memories there thanks for posting this you gave a old man a great memories 👍
22:50 is the start of the race the thumb is from. 23:44 is where the drivers get out of their cars to confront one another. Mad props to these folks. I was not expecting that. FWIW I only wanted to see that moment but have watched every race. This is something special. People have short attention spans these days. The races are short and the cars are all always different. I mean it. You might really be onto something here. It's like rock, paper, scissors.
Just finished watching it. That Evo destroyed lol
That was a great weekend of racing! Very fast Evo, and a good driver to put it to the pavement. Wish I was closer, I'd love to take a shot at that bounty. Thanks for uploading!
That's not even a 1/4 of the show. You still got the demo derby, figure 8 demo derby, some stock car heats mixed in and to end it off a pretty decent fireworks show. But I haven't been in years it could be even better than it was...or worse?
I grew up on the east coast, Norwood, seekonk, Westboro. And I left the east 35 years ago and have visited over 150 to 200 different tracks and you guys don’t know how lucky you are to have this remaining track. To me Norwood was the king back in the day ? Now looking back there is no better small track in America as good as Seekonk Speedway. What makes New England tracks the best is the love of the sport, both divers and fans are the best. I have been to tracks where the fans were falling asleep at the first heat lol. Thank for posting these videos, as an old timer this is the best small track left in America, so please respect, support and enjoy this great track.
3 questions. Why am i just finding out about this? Why is this so awesome? Why isn't this happening in my city?
Sad for you. This track is 3 miles from my house so I get to go to these pretty often. These events are a blast live.
It probably is. Unless you live in the inner city or out in the middle of nowhere. It usually isn’t marketed well.
I love it
@@motoremedy986 I totally agree. There was a speedway at our county fairgrounds that I did not hear of until word of mouth at work halfway across the county. And they called the guy running it, a ''promoter'' yet guys like me LOOKING for it, found out by other means than his ''promoting''. I went racing there and signing in a car gets you 2 ''comps'' for a dollar each. Sort of misses the point of ''comp''.
Compared to how an evo is equipped, that’s one fast S10 Blazer
Better weight distribution over the rear wheels than a pickup, makes it faster. Notice all the wheel spin the Camaro's and TransAm and the vette got off the line, or even the old GMC. Wheel spin is good for a drift car, but on a track this short you would need 1000hp to spin your way to victory over the AWD... Not to mention perfect steering perception. The GMC or the vette would be the closest to good drifting cars here, but neither looked all that consistent frame wise. Not to mention the EVO was 450hp all said and done. The GMC might have been 550hp The vette might have pushed 525hp, but none could keep it locked to the ground... I was impressed with the Vega myself. Didn't seem to have but 350hp but was solid on take off and nailed to the curves...
The evo was fully built
S-10 could be lunching in awd
thing has a bunch of weight and soft suspension and the dude is taking advantage of it. look how he just sets the whole car onto the front right wheel before every turn
@@willietheboggle3954 yeah its good at Lunching
🤣
looks like this is the new NASCAR. you don't see a crowd like this at any Nascar event anymore too many damn restrictions
dirt bag it’s NASCAR 1-1. One lap for people who are short on time
Yea like sit in the sun all day with no fun allowed
Change it to at least 2 Laps makes a more fair race
How can you get hammered on a one lap race? This ain't Nascar. I try to drink atleast one beer per lap. Think about that.....
Rigjt they're cry babies
Great show, thank you for your time and effort. I just love these spectator drags. Keep up the good work.
imskeptic1 Glad you like it! And will do! 😆
GMC Typhoon - best of the best
I don’t know about that, but it is a cool car
Awesome video! Hope to make it back to here one day, the thrill shows are amazing.
Carbon Video Thanks man!! The energy is like no other haha Next one is August 4th !
I love that the Camry won. He took that slide and made it a win.
10:58 Evo destroys his clutch...
I heard the evil in 2019 hit the wall was this total loss
@@johnfarias7230 yeah, he hit the wall but its back together and he's running again.
@@minnie75kids that's nice to hear people talk about that car as far as in the street racing scene
I've heard about them a couple of times and I've never even seen them
That was awesome I love seeing good sportsmanship
these by far are the best races to watch !!
AWD plus short track = win. Traction disadvantage is too great for the rwd even with more power.
Imports are too good buddy. And the evolution was pulling on the straights too, imports make crazy power for cheap, Americans are just so expensive to make power, hell you've got to boost them to start with and they weigh so much
@@roboticvenom1935 Play with a Tesla once and you will see what garbage imports really are.
While partially true, not completely true, tires, suspension, etc matters more
Kinda late, but not true. There are multiple other awd cars in this video that didnt do well. The audi a4/s4 quattro is a actually pretty common to see in these events and normally they never do too good.
@@roboticvenom1935 imports like mistubishi, honda , nissan etc are designed to compete because japan taxes its citizens for the size of the car and the size of engine so smaller powerful cars cost less. America doesnt so can get away with making large engine beast
Hey, thanks for uploading this. It's great to see a bunch of street cars racing in a legal environment. It was also an excellent example of how an all-wheel-drive performance vehicle will outrun any rear-wheel drive on a tight track. It's basic physics. Or, as we say, "Science, B_____s!" Sadly, on a track like this, the rear wheels are always trying to get in front of the steer wheels, so it's a constant fight for balance between acceleration and traction. A balanced all-wheel-drive system allows the front wheels to match or beat the rears, giving much better handling.
Random trivia: A friend and I once rebuilt an old 1600 Holden Gemini from the 70s. It was a rear-wheel-drive car, and we gave it all the good stuff from the day; nolathene bushes, stabilisers, heavy-duty shocks. Rebuilt the engine. The works. Kinda almost full rally-spec. It was the only rear-wheel-drive car I've driven that you had to work hard to get it sideways on a dirt road. The suspension system was better than the engine power. I mean, the back tyres would be tearing up gravel but the shocks and springs etc would make the tyres just bite harder into the road. And the front end was super-responsive. At the time I had an all-wheel-drive Imprezza hatch (2003), and the old Gemini was arguably better on the same stretch of dirt road.
It’s hilarious how many TAs are there!
What's funny is seeing how loose they all are. All the newer TAs and camaros seem to be really loose but they have some make up speed. You can tell which drivers knew how to set them up for a track.
Yeah, there's alot of women there....lol
6:45 the White truck with the sharks mouth painted on it is hilarious.
holy shit that place is packed.
john dillinger Why wouldn’t it be?
@@mrminibikes335 not all, but many race tracks these days have a very hard time selling a sellout crowd like this. But this, this is spectacular!
Nothing better than a 4 banger beating all them V8’s
Great video , lots of energy at this track . Would be fun to come down and run with you guys ! Thank you for your hard work xTBERG !
Phil Burke That would be awesome! Thank you, I'm glad to share it with everyone!!
Nice job on the video, As for variety, Never any complaints. Love this format of racing.
I live on an island off Vancouver. Best racing is right here, love it. Keep it up.
4:28 I gotta say, even four years later that the Subaru/Camry race was truly artful. To lose it on the outside and win from the inside was just brilliant. It reminded me of how our Aussie speed skater, Steven Bradbury won Gold when the four skaters who were way in front of him crashed out at the last corner, mere metres before the finish line. In Australia, we call this type of win, 'Doing a Bradbury'.
That NX2000 👌🏻
In the late seventies I used to race my 65 Mustang in one of these spectator events, it was at the Golden Gate Speedway Tampa Florida
That honestly made my day seeing they were bro hugging instead of fighting
yep good sportsmanship.
This should be a TV show love it
10:03 Dwight k Schrute
Anyone that says that evo drives itself has never driven a turbo awd Vehicle. U know to spin all 4 like that it has to be 500 HP at the wheels at least. controlling that power is impressive not to mention the weight difference it was a bullet. . very impressive run I say. .
The car makes like 410 I know Kenny
I think you maybe exaggerating the hp status, doesn't need 500 plus hp, watch the wrc rally cars they are limited to 340 hp and they do victory doughnuts all the time, colin macrae was a good example
No I'm saying at least 5 like around that. . 410 my bad lol all's I was getting at is that is alot of power to control and does not control it's self. . By any means
Yea those other two would have been a lot faster if they knew that the rev limiter means the car won’t go any faster lol
Lol it's still pretty much the easiest car to drive, relax bud
15:01 Tack attendant is a savage didn't blink an eye LOL
Thanks for sharing this with everyone, my first subscription !
David Lorince My pleasure!! I'm glad you enjoy!
Great job as always. Can't wait to get back out there.
BigNuttyPaul I look forward to it !
i have been LOOKING for this wreck, it happened right infront of me and i didn’t realize it was in 2018!? time flies.
That evo 8 is smooth as hell.
dark crusher1221 where do you see a evo 8?
@@goclunker The only Evo in the video is an 8
@@Darkstar22177 or a 9...or a 7.
I see they play on the import vs domestic rivalry just like pink's did. Lol
AWD needs to be its own class. Btw, great content!
When the music came on I was expecting to see the monster truck el toro loco come out!
This alone is worth moving to the US for.
I think I'd get a cheap damaged 335(x)i for this and start tuning it, replacing parts
These racers look like they are having a good time. I like the American Flags tucked into whatever crack they can stuff them into and the different angles for the start.
410bhp Evo vs the weekend Sportsman Class lineup at your local dragstrip. What a thriller to watch.
Sarcasm aside, there were some good races.
Only difference 2 turns...
@@kramnull8962 So the Corvette has exactly how much more than its Kelly blue book value invested in it??? He's gotta win the next 75 races to break even with the corvette guy.
You sound butthurt 🤣
Man, that Evo, great handling, acceleration. A true v8 killer at spectator drags!
Id hope so with all wheel drive lol...if he wasn't it wouldn't have
Крутые у Вас соревы Американцы ! У нас тоже есть на подобие этих заездов ,но у нас в России такой тюнинг очень дорогой
Nobody could beat that Evo!!! 👌
Favorite races to watch.
dude it was the f body take over 4th gens killing everything out there
I thought the part with the Evo was fast foward lol.
That Evo was unbeatable !! Almost an unfair advantage with that AWD gripping like a cat claw and launching like a missile
Awesome video! I agree with one of the comments that every state needs to have a track that has a class for racing like this! I know that I would have stayed out of the mischief that I got in when I was younger if I would have had this near me
Seems like hole shot here wins more than an actual drag race. Passing looks really difficult. Fun to watch. I think AWD will win every time. However I'd run a V8 RWD and hold on for the ride! Plus they're dirt cheap and I'm likely to crash!
Willie Brown I feel it's pretty nerve wracking not knowing how the other guy drives. it's random. it's not like actual race drivers where they understand what it takes to drive fast and all pretty much follow the same line.
Agreed which is why I'd choose a cheap V8 rwd car and not an expensive EVO or Corvette. I wish we had one of these events in San Diego! Lucky ducks over there!
@@ClumsyCars Has to be way more than ONE Lap.
Love your channel,,,thanks!
This is amazing at x1.25!
You are correct.
Funny how the top 3 cars are red white and blue
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
Thanks for the latest fix. More, more!
my new fav channel
Boost Tribe Racing I'm glad you like the content! 😆
I used to drive a Nissan NX2000 with a tuned SR20DE and that thing was pretty fast! Handled great too! Even in the snow :D It was ugly as sin though.
Some of these dudes need to be on the hoonigan channel
He may have spun the truck out but he sure knows how to burn rubber like a badass. Very beautiful show.
NC NC He was on 3 wheels for a bit haha more to come this season !!
Seekonk, Massachusetts, to whom it may concern.
Great video. Wish I had an AWD Trailblazer SS to race there, think it might win
@The.RealEffect :IG Ask Kris in 2003 6.0 SuperCharged AWD. Won every time.
Did anyone actually think the EVO wouldn't win? As soon as I saw that thing I knew the winner haha
Yup. As soon as I heard it I knew it would win all.
@@ryannutter4669 Make it 3 to 5 Laps & Pontiac Blows his Doors.
@@WisdomOverWicked777Rules As much as I'd love to see that happen, I doubt it. After the 4th lap the Evo would have had too much of a lead on him. It just corners too well.
@@ryannutter4669 A Temporary Lead only. Then Pontiac Could Drive The Corners Faster Catching Up. Yeah maybe he drifts some but he proved he can drive drifting.
I'll tell u this,Seekonk takes there spectator racing seriously!
I love this track
You can tell that the smart guys, the ones who know the track and technique, start high and really use that high line there. Pinching the corners down low rarely works.
Ahh man, that little red Supra was a great car! But a 4th Gen is a very tall order.
That was absolutely extremely entertaining!
GREAT UPLOAD xTBERG! Thanks
exciting that's for sure

They are working on getting this here in WV. 😉
Was there much damage to the old candy apple Camaro? ... ol dude caught a back wheel hard in turn 3
That’s awesome on Independence Day the top three were red white and blue
4 wheel drives should be a separate div.
Did NOT expect to see that DSM
DSM?
bobby solo you didn’t see the eclipse?
I use to love going to seekonk speedway. Haven't been in a few years
They should have them all qualify and team them up acordingly so the races are closer to call and would make it more competative of a sport but hell yess i love it its raceing right fellas
in the first round i saw the evo and i know that he already won
Thank you my friend great video keep posting these races🌹☕
W.S music Production Of course! It's my pleasure 😆
My buddy Robert Lewis jr in the VW at 8:51🤙
That white c10 sounds mean as hell…. Love old cast iron power
They should turn it into 2 rounds
That would make it much more fun to watch
To the people calling the Evo's 4x4. They're awd not 4x4. Two different things.
Are there rules to this? It seems like a tesla would be a good car, even if the crowd hates it.
John Schauder Minor rules including vehicle has to be registered, gotta wear a helmet, have atleast 100 treadwear rating, and I don’t think 4x4 trucks are allowed
A Tesla would absolutely *destroy*.
It would probably do it without "Ludacris" mode engaged too. #holeshot wins this track.
xTBERG so...a Tesla would be legal? It would easily win the night.
John Schauder there aren’t any rules saying otherwise lol...more than a straight away though, would be interesting for sure!!
@@TBERGMEDIA Why Tire Tread wear? Newer tires better traction less sliding & wrecking. Bad Rule!!!
Do T/As grow wild up there?
Thanks for the great video 🤙🏻👌🏻💪🏻
Kirk Leaman You got it!!
That silver passat needs his track pass revoked. Dude cut in line on the warm up drift corner almost causing a wreck then staged a foot away from that 50s GMC truck in the head to head.
I'm curious about that maroon trans am
Doug Harris I sure hope to see it back, thing sounded nasty
Wish we had this near me. I would totally go wreck the crap out of my car!!!
let me get my 300hp beemer going and maybe i would join, tough call
Round, you can COUNT on it.
Imagine how happy these cars are to finally be cut loose in their natural habitat...
Sick man keep me coming love it
Not a big fan of how they look but those 4th gen F body’s do really well. Still cheap to buy now as well. Those plastic doors and hinge issues suck bad.
That evo driver is good. Flat out good. And a good car.
I drive a 2011 5.0 mustang tho to be fair so I'm not biased
Did I hear Kevin Farnum in the 01 Trans Am?
Driberif1 Yes indeed!
Is Kevin Farnum in this chat at all? (Curious, might be related if so, same last name and family originated in Mass.)
