First of all, Happy Birthday! Your mushroom earrings look fabulous on you! This is a lovely message for anyone, at any age. I am 61 and have taken many paths, some that had dead ends and others that led me to wonderful places, but all of them helped make me who I am and have no regrets over any of them. Big dreams are fine, but it is the little things in life that you will find count the most. Not the fancy trips or the biggest events in life, nor the milestones of age, but rather the days spent with loved ones, the quiet walks where you suddenly find an interesting flower or hear a new birdsong, the challenges that make you wiser and time well spent not worrying about the outcome but enjoying and learning through the process called life, wherever it leads you! Enjoy it! It is still wonderous at 61, 71, 91! My father is 95 1/2 and still learning and experiencing new things! He took up pottery a few years ago and loves it! 🥰

Happy birthday, sweetie. The biggest lie we’re told as kids is that adult life is organized and has answers. Sorry you had to find out for yourself. Then again, look at it this way: every day we get the chance to imagine something better and new for ourselves. That’s a choice we all have, but often are afraid to acknowledge. Wait until you get to be my age (and, hey, kid, I may be older than you, but I’m not OLD), you may come to that conclusion, too.

I am one year older than you and I often have similar thought to yours that I am kinda lost or stuck and behind. I think it's the sociaty fault to push us to fit these standards like: having family and kids in your 30s (or before), climbing the career ladder etc. I try to focus on little things, do what makes me happy but I get it. It is sometimes hard not to think - what if? Wishing you all the best!🥰

This hits close to home and I can only say this with the wish it saves you time: when I turned 30 I had this weight on my shoulders of what adults looked like to me and how I didn't fit that. How my career came to a halt a few years later and I resembled adulthood less and less. According to the world I shouldn't be the person I am, I shouldn't look the way I do and that's the reason why no one but my wife in my real or digital life knows my real age anymore. Because unfortunately it creates an expectation, a prejudice that society hasn't shakes off yet, especially when it comes to female presenting people. The most liberating thing for me was to depart from the timeline of expectations and I really hope you can manage that too ❤️
