@@EndOfSmallSanctuary97 They definitely had morals. Read up on it. The ones with no morals were the Zips that worked in Italy. They actually used bombs to kill, Cosa Nostra in America didn't. They also didn't have a problem with dealing drugs, But Cosa Nostra in America has strict rules against dealing drugs. Per Carlo Gambino's edict, "DEAL AND DIE" Those guys were men's men!!! They had a ton of honor. They didn't kill innocent people, in Italy however they killed anyone. In America... They just stick to keeping it in the family.

That is true. His words will be studied and compared with the words of others, police, records, newspapers, etc. As you know, he is actually somewhat an historian of his era perticularly in his mob family and some of what was going on with the 5 families and around the world.
He is separating what he knows from what he really isn't expertto on which might be the early origins in America and Italy and what goes on now in either country. Not to metion how differently it eveiolved in all those plsaces and how they differ from each other. Hell, you’re gonna deal with a LOT of shit than hiding from an unarmed man. I think when people around them knew their family works for the mafia, they’ll probably either be violent or be shitty shock mocks. Because you know, fucking people will think their a threat to their life and his children had to be fucking careful for that. Some might secretly try to assassinate them just for some revenge cuz their people killed their love ones or something. But I do hope you’ll be ok though. There can be one day shit will go down when it comes to some alcoholics. So, be careful! And be ready and aware for that

Michael; I was born and raised in Brooklyn 1943.I can remember some tough guys hanging out in front of a small cafe which seemingly was closed to outsiders. ?We kids used stand out there and hope one of the guys wanted a paper. I got to do that my first time and one of those guys gave me a quarter. I thought I was in heaven. Over the years I hung around, sometimes dodging school,I got to do small 'errands' and felt like I was big time. As I got older, I saw a few police raids and arrests of some of those guys. My father had told me many times to stay away from the hangout, but of course I didn't. Over time, my 'errands' got a little bigger and I would get dollars not quarters. It was exciting and some of the other kids around were impressed. One day, I think he may have been an underboss ,gave me a 'job', later he asked me what I wanted to do in life. I told him my grades were good and I got a scholarship and wanted to pursue a career in teaching PE. He smiled, gave me (I think $5) and told me to be good in life and respectful to elders and told me to visit him at the 'candy store when I finished my schooling. I did go back, but he had passed and there were mostly new guys hanging around.
I always felt that he was kind and didn't try to win me over with his life style.
