These tax-free foundations are only tax free because they ostensibly do charitable work. But we all know the machinations of such groups, or at least we should. It is the American people's generosity that allows for those tax-free foundations to exist. These foundations are a way for families like the Rockefellers to hide their money from taxing and from estate taxes and from all kinds of other things so that their money only grows and their power only grows with it. The American people need to stand up in their masses and demand that the Congress abolish these foundations and with them their banking cabal. The United States Congress needs to stop subcontracting its most vital responsibility which is to coin and regulate the value of our currency. They have subcontracted this to the Federal Reserve so that they could borrow in perpetuity without having to raise taxes on the people. This debt money slavery has gone on long enough and we need to stand up and be able to look our grandchildren in the face and say that we actually did something while Rome was burning.

Did you have a problem with holding power accountable? People being able to think? People having spaces for freedom of discussion? That all people ought to have real access to education? That people should be a real part of their own education? That people should have agency? That power inequities restrict freedom? That people ought to question existing structures of power or authority? That they should learn how to think and not what to think?
I think you can do better than that.

If I understand that is deliberate. That makes sense. If I don't understand, it could be from no effort, but not understanding due to lack of trying is not the same as trying to come up with the wrong understanding.

However, "feeling" over "thinking" is dangerous and need be kept in check as much as possible.

It's the tax-free foundations that are running the show. Its foundations like the Rockefeller Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and other entities called ngos or nongovernmental organizations or think tanks. The most powerful think tank in the world is the Royal Institute for international affairs which came out of Cecil Rhodes Round Table group. This shadowy organization is connected to Oxford and All Souls colleges and is tied in with the London branch of the Rothschild family and the blue blood Royals from many other countries.
The Institute for international affairs has a sister think tank for the United States called the Council on Foreign Relations. It's the bankers money that runs the foundations and it is the foundations that runs the Royal Institute and the council. Between these two organizations the entire Western world has its foreign policy and domestic policy decided for it.
These tax-free foundations are only tax free because they ostensibly do charitable work. But we all know the machinations of such groups, or at least we should. It is the American people's generosity that allows for those tax-free foundations to exist.
These foundations are a way for families like the Rockefellers to hide their money from taxing and from estate taxes and from all kinds of other things so that their money only grows and their power only grows with it.
The American people need to stand up in their masses and demand that the Congress abolish these foundations and with them their banking cabal. The United States Congress needs to stop subcontracting its most vital responsibility which is to coin and regulate the value of our currency. They have subcontracted this to the Federal Reserve so that they could borrow in perpetuity without having to raise taxes on the people.
This debt money slavery has gone on long enough and we need to stand up and be able to look our grandchildren in the face and say that we actually did something while Rome was burning.
That is exactly what Giroux is talking about...the deleterious effects of concentrated power and capital shaping society.
33:00 I love how he talks about how South America and Chile (among others) are "mobilizing" now that socialism was soundly rejected in Chile and that Argentina now has liberatrian Milei. South American thinkers have been rejecting socialism for a long time, and the people in general only vote for socialists *knowingly* for their short-term benefit, but they know it's a scam. The only place where socialism has any hold is in the Western, primarily English-speaking world. It's they who are behind the times, and hopefully this recent explosion of Marxism at every level is a last desperate gasp because *it needs to go.*

See this is the problem with anyone who does critical analysis, the constant contradictions. He starts this analysis off by saying that the free market is anti-governmental, and in the same sentence says that war is how resources are allocated. Private firms are not going to war, that is a function of the government. If the free marketers are opposed to the government why then would there be a function to use the government for war? Yet, he can blindly slag together competing ideologies and say they're all a single entity without a single reference to the problems of its contradictory form.
