Y llego el terremoto, Gergo cerró el Festival como un tren que esta apunto de arrollarte. Pudimos disfrutar de uno de los bateristas de moda hoy en día, un despliegue de técnica, velocidad y potencia como pocos.
Un músico que en los últimos años se a creado un hueco entre los bateristas top a nivel mundial, y no es para menos después de lo que pudimos ver con nuestros propios ojos.
Gracias Gergo, un cierre de festival inolvidable.

And the earthquake came, Gergo closed the Festival like a train that is close to overwhelm you. We could enjoy one of the trendy drummers today, a deployment of technique, speed and power as very few.
A musician who in recent years has created himself a gap in the top of the drummers worldwide, and that is no surprise after what we could see with our own eyes.
Thank you Gergo, an unforgettable festival closure.

I Don't think I've ever seen a drummer with this much of everything. Every category of this guy's drumming is off the charts. Time, chops, feel, technique, orchestration of the music on kit. Nailing kicks anywhere on the beat, and in any time signature, while grooving or soloing. Just ridiculously great. I thinks the songs are even cool, for clinic music, ya know? Astounding. Thank You, Gergo!

Agreed. There are many greats like Marvin Smitty Smith, Sean Rickman, Gene Lake Jr (all with the Steve Coleman 5 Elements Groups), but this is the drumming I've always truly wanted to hear. Just amazing in every way. He's the best I've ever heard.
One day I hope to have a chance to see Gergo perform live and no matter what the ticket costs, I will gladly pay more. He is the best drummer on the planet.
This performance of Black Page is one of the most ridiculous drumming showdowns I've ever seen. Just mental. Gergo is truly a wonder.
FZ was able to write a melody for an in principle unpitched Instrument Black Page #1. It got it's name because of the amount of dots on the paper. Gergo Borlay replaced many dots with two or more in it's place. Does this SOUND good? Does it suit the melody?
But I'm happy to hear someone play the Black Page or Keep it greasy once in a while anyway.
I'm just reminded of FZs explanation of the psychological effect of big space between the notes of Anton Webern.
It is unquestionably safe to say this man has mastered his instrument.

Gergo must be the most technically able drummer right now... even so, I think that his best feature is his seemingly endless creativity and dynamics 🤘
How can this video only have that few views? Gergo is unbelievable. What a groove, technique, speed, accuracy, sound. What dynamics he has - few have that level (Dennis Chambers, Weckl). The most outstanding thing is how flawless this is.
This is the best publicity Gretsch, Paiste, DW and Remo can have. I love Vinnie, Weckl but this something else. I want that whole kit.

One of the best underrated drummers in the world. Amazing technique, speed, precision, feel, and energy. Not the biggest fan of some of his backing track and song choices but always entertaining.
I agree & I too am not a fan of the music/backing track most of these drummers play to. Though Gergo is one incredible drummer I'm afraid the music he plays to is not doing him any favours. It'll get to the point like it is for Virgil Donati, where the drum solo part in his clinic or gig is all people want to see. BTW Virgil Donati's music I can't stand, he hasn't changed the keyboard/syn sound since the 80's! IMO these backing tracks feels like its an after thought, I get bored pretty quickly. On the other hand drummer's like Steve Gadd, Simon Phillips & Dave Weckl (just to name a selective few) perform great music that gives the manly drum audience a great insight at the role a drummer is. Its little wonder why their studio session history is filled with amazing music.

I saw him with the Frank Gambale All Stars Band and it was crazy.
The quality of the footage is fantastic, those drums sound really great.Kudos to the mixing engineers.

I think this started it all for me… got bored during quarantine and found this video almost 2 years ago and now I’m in love with Gergos playing so diverse being that he has groove chops feel and taste very hard combination to have! Great with odd times too I can honestly say he’s probably one of the most well rounded drummers I’ve ever seen

I just watched a video with Gavin Harrison and I thought man he is the greatest drama he has everything and now I’m watching this and I’m not so sure one thing is that they truly are both amazing the way they play the drum set like a piano to complement the song

Absolutely amazing! Tight, powerful, very accurate and very fast! He loves Frank Zappa! The two Zappa songs back to back are very difficult to play and he totally nailed them with precision and accuracy! Drums sound great! He would give Vinnie, Weckl or anybody a run for their money! Definitely top ten drummer if not better than that! And I believe he's Hungarian - so am I! I hope it comes through eventually in my drumming!

Saw him 2 years ago with Jeff Lorber and Jimmy Haslip at Ronnie Scott’s; he’s a power house; and live he sounds even better.
