Appreciate all the extra work you do to get the different camera angles and careful editing to put the good videos together for us. You have the knack to do that. It's great to see the progress you have made with Mike McCoy's mill. His legend continues. Hope that Mother is doing well. Maybe she would come by some day and off-bare for you. That would be a treat.
Well, thank you, deernutOO, that has to be the nicest compliment I could ever get. Because I have been trying to put on enjoyable videos for everyone. I'd really like for Ms McCoy to visit. Thanks for watching and commenting
Like to watch you run that old Mcoy mill. You have come a long way from when you started! Like that you slowed down the cutting now too. Just an old Yank from MN and you keep milling!!! TERRY
Hey, I appreciate it, Terry. I've calmed down some. I retain a little from each time I get it powered up. Oh, Minnesota, I went to see my Dad at the Mayo Clinic about 25 years ago. Had prostate cancer. Good land was it cold up there. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Def not a yankee lol. I like the intro! What a nice change and interesting to watch! Nice sawing as always. I like the story you shared 💗 - your biggest fan
I like that bit of humor, some comments sure get me laughin’. I spent a bit of time down south and so has my wife she did a lot of trail work at the state parks Hanging Rock and such. I’ve had friends most of my life from down south through caving exploration when I was younger. I’ve always enjoyed the cultural differences make no mistake I can’t help it I’m a yankee through and through but I what I love most when I travel is the wonderful people all over America. Nice sawing Shannon thanks for the chuckle 😂
Don't let the fools of the world get you down. Just because they are unhappy, self-centered and rude doesn't you have to be the same way. I liker what I hear.
That's funny! There was a channel, I don't remember the name, but the guy had such a huge and slow southern drawl that I had to double speed it otherwise I would be thinking 'come on man, you can do it, spit the words out'. Compared to that guy you do sound like a New Yorker 🤣
Well, one of the biggest was a nonprofit organization that bought three trailer loads. They are building a barn. They wanted all of their lumber to be Yellow Pine. Thanks for watching and commenting
Good morning, I do have an edger, and it's for the most part, a nice one. But I just don't like it attached to the mill. It's sitting out by itself not hooked up. So, yeah, I use the headsaw to edge. It seems to work fine, no more than I get to saw. Thanks for watching and commenting
We got started, and the cylinder or control valve one wouldn't work. It wouldn't pull back. So, I chained it down so I could saw while I was able to have some help. Thanks for watching and commenting
It is, Charles, and it's dirty. No more than we did, I feel like I need to sharpen the bits before we get started again. Thanks for watching and commenting
For whatever reason watching a sawmill run brings me back. Thank you for sharing.
Well, you're welcome. I hope you keep coming back. Thanks for watching and commenting

You are a great sawyer😊enjoyed the video
Well, I appreciate it, ole buddy. That's the nicest compliment I've ever received. Thank you for watching and commenting
Pretty nice logs, good lumber! Your sawing talents and video editing are improving. Thanks.
I appreciate the kind words. We did make nice lumber out those logs. They were nice, but we're also muddy again. Thanks for watching and commenting

I appreciate the comment, friend. I like surrounding myself with good people. And that's what I've found here, sawmilling.

10-4 I appreciate it, Robert. Thanks for watching and commenting

Break down and build a set of steps to the cab even if they are wooden
you are doing a good job
I want to, John. And a shed to. Thanks for watching and commenting
Hey shannon looks like some good sawing!
We had fun. I like the poplar.
You need yourself a debarker. Even if its just a kid with a spud.
I sure do Papaw. I don't have a spud, but hope to find one at the Paul Bunyan Show in a few weeks. Thanks for watching and commenting
Who are your biggest customers, and what species do they prefer?
Well, one of the biggest was a nonprofit organization that bought three trailer loads. They are building a barn. They wanted all of their lumber to be Yellow Pine. Thanks for watching and commenting
Morning Shannon. Do you have an edger you run the boards through after or do you edge them with the headsaw?
Good morning, I do have an edger, and it's for the most part, a nice one. But I just don't like it attached to the mill. It's sitting out by itself not hooked up. So, yeah, I use the headsaw to edge. It seems to work fine, no more than I get to saw. Thanks for watching and commenting
Is your blade chattering between the guides
Yeah, it does. There's not but a 1/16" gap. The guides are some type of hard graphite like guides on a bandsaw.
What is wrong with the first block with the chain ? Sure make it hard to cut longer logs.
We got started, and the cylinder or control valve one wouldn't work. It wouldn't pull back. So, I chained it down so I could saw while I was able to have some help. Thanks for watching and commenting
What happened to the front part of the headworks?
The cylinder wouldn't pull back. I chained it down so I could get some work done while I had a fella to help me. Thanks for watching and commenting
Where you located
Granite Falls, NC
Is that Poplar that you are sawing?
It is, Charles, and it's dirty. No more than we did, I feel like I need to sharpen the bits before we get started again. Thanks for watching and commenting
I had to speed you up to 2X to see if he was right. Not quite a New Yorker drawl.
Lol. I appreciate you doing that, Karen. 😂
