I am a HUGE Maserati fan. This is not a super car, nor is it a drag car or an auto cross car. What it is, is a very good GT car…capable of maintain very high speeds for long periods of time. Maserati is very misunderstood….if you want perfection…buy German. I’ve had my GranSport, predecessor to this since 2007 with several modifications done to it. The majority of people buy these cars to be flashy, drive it into the ground and then sell it and complain what a shitty car it is. If you’re one of the few who actually like this brand, who understand this brand and can appreciate what this car will be in the future…you’re in good shape. The car is very fast for its weight, horsepower and what it is. Considering this engine is only 4.2/4.7 liters, its output is pretty impressive. I’m not hating on anyone at all…but just wish people would actually drive one in real life and understand it better. I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

I really apreciate the time you took for this comment! I also apreciate Maserati a lot and really Like their cars.
But the problem they have is that they Look absolutley beautiful so just as you said it, Some stupid people buy them too Look Flashy and drag they cars Name through the mud because they never maintained it... This is why it's pretty difficult to buy a great used one. Just the previous owners for the most part...
I defineteley get you point with the GT car! I also called it one at Some point in that Video. But I feel Like it also has supercar DNA too with it's awsome Performance. Factually, it's a GT car, you are right of course! But it deserves to be called more sometimes.
I do for the most Part understand Maserati as a Brand and what they stand for and really like them for that. They build These very powerful and beautiful cars but struggle with their Reputation because the owners don't take care of their cars.
I have hope for their future models though! They might Do it Like Alfa Romeo and build Reliable V6s, which would be great!
Congrats to your Maserati and doing the maintnance to keep it that long! I hope you enjoy it! What kind of mods have you done btw? I have no Real idea how gar you might have taken it haha

They really are amazing and very capable! But tbh, I don't think most people would buy it as an investment but to enjoy it. This is what I understand Maserati being about. Appreceating the beauty and Power of the cars, driving and loving them but needing to Look for them in terms of maintnance.

Owned a 2017 Ghibli S for nearly the last 2 years and just purchased a 2018 Maserati Granturismo Sport and I absolutely love it. Drove it around in Sarasota Florida for nearly a week during vacation and waiting on them to ship it home for me. Yeah I could've purchased an Aston Martin, a first gen v8 r8 (stupid to get the v8 imo), and plenty of other options but the swagger, sound, and the speed is what does it for me. Yeah the cars heavy but it's still no slouch. If you want something insanely reliable get a toyota. If you take care of your Maserati properly you'll be fine regardless.

I'm a little jalous you get to own multiple newer Maseratis haha
      (V8 R8 is really meh)
You are pretty much the perfect Maserati owner! You have a love for them and like you said, you know what you get into when buying one.
I'm pretty happy for you and that you get to enjoy These cars and apreciate them!
Do you mind asking how much Was the maintnance on the Ghibli was?

@@MrPista I worked hard for them man just turned 24 last month, that being said I appreciate the heritage behind them and overall just love the cars swagger. Car gets a lot of looks and stands out, I just like being different. The maintenance on the Ghibli was pretty pricey, if I remember correctly it was close to $400 for an oil change but that was really the only thing I had done at the dealership. Never had to change the breakpads(probably will need to be changed in the next 3 months or so but I'm saying goodbye in less than a week). For what it is the Ghibli was a blast to drive but it doesn't compare to the GT in my eyes. End of the day the car was a blast and I'm sad to see it go. I considered keeping both but I still live with my parents and don't have room in the garage for it+it'll just depreciate anyways.

@@andrewfakelove3789 that Story is very impressive! Many people at 24 already fucked up their life and never considered to get on the Grind Like you. You defineteley have my respect for All of that.
Standing out in a good way is sth i Like too, if it's not too haha
      Being Like everyone is boring.
Maserati uses special oil that is just more expensive so it's a little annoying i guess
Selling the Ghibli, even though you will miss it for sure, is probably a good choice becauese a GT is even more excyting. And keeping both of them would be amazing, Yeah. But it would be too much to Look after them as perfectly as you Do
Living with your Patents at 24 is sth pretty cool as you aren't really lazy and make good money! As long as you get along together and the Space is there (even if for just one Maserati) it's cheaper than an own apartment and nice becauese your parents always love you.
I would expect them to be rather proud of you brother 🤝

I've owned 4 Maseratis including 2 GranTurismo Ss (Cabrio and Coupé) - all my Maseratis have been rock solid reliability-wise. On a long trip I've even averaged 23 mpg at 80 mph! A steal at current prices for a low mileage well kept examples. Keep in mind - Maserati won the Indy500 *before* Ferrari even existed! (1939 and 1940) You don't win races without finishing them first aka as reliability. I always hear that BS from people who have never owned one. Please, if you've never owned one, shut up, you don't know what you're talking about. The Ferrari built V8s are now gone, I suggest picking one up before prices start to climb. They are very nice GT cars, not all out track cars, but very sublime exotics for a distinguished automotive palate.

I'm happy for you that you had such great experiences with All of those 4 cars you mentioned, but not everyones Maserati does so Well... Two of my neighbors for example owned Levantes but I think V6s and they got rid of them because of the high maintnance. They weren't that Reliable and spend a lot of time in shops.
Yeah, their racing history is very impressive for shure but back then they were a Brand for themselves. Now they are Part of Stellantis and they aren't really know for Reliable cars.
They are cool cars for sure but quite a few people had Bad experiences. Not all for sure but enough for that Bad depreciation

@@andybroer651 I actually didn't know about that, but I Like the direction they are going in that paßt few years. Especially in terms of Design
But even though Alfa is doing good rn, Fiat, Jeep or Dodge Do still struggle with reliability in quite a few cases. Sure, in a lot of them the owners are at fault for not doing basic maintnance. But there still are a good amount of them blamable on the cars
Also the bulild quality is not as good as with VW or BMWs with especially those 3 Brands. But even if it's getting better for Like 2 or 3 years whatever, most cars are a few years older and can still have Some bad issues

@@MrPista the v6s are reliable. we own the quattroporte v6 and its pushing very well. Its either they dont maintain their car well, or rev it in the cold. These cars are not ment to be overdue so long for oil changes. These cars need oil quick as they are almost like supercar engines.
