Ren's fans don't mind you re-reacting to Ren's songs ;) you can still share your thoughts and feelings with us even if it's not the first time you hear it.
I think he means selling his soul (pain) through his music. Not selling out or selling soul to the devil. Just a metaphor for putting his all into his music.
Yep. It's a metaphor. Plus calling out society, especially on social media, monetizing pain by constantly hating- on any subject. Also, a metaphor for label artists who sell their soul (and creativity) to keep the label happy. They are both independent so they do whatever they want. I'm not certain of Prof's backstory, but Ren has been through a lot in his life and has used that pain to create his music.
I enjoyed your reaction & Subbed for more Ren & Prof reaction video's.👍 Personally, I believe this wasn't just a song about their hardships, making them what they are in the music industry today. I think It's more of a commentary on society. Everyone hustling for whatever they can get & trying to grab as much as they can get. While he & Ren are out here pimping their pain, others are out here killing & profiting on others peoples pain, cutting corners or cheatting, the faster you can make the almighty $$ the better, F the consequences. So it begs to question for everyone that hears this song, how much pain and hustle is it worth for you to make it in this fake & divided Instagram world we live in?
I think they've poetically and humorously, if not Prophetically (Trumps shooting happened the day after Prof released this) painted the perfect picture. Yet at the same time it's so F'n soulful it kind of blows my mind 🤯. I Personally I loved it & 🙏🙏 there's a MV to follow soon. ✌.
Ren was part of a band called The Big Push. Their video Precious (it's a lyric video) is my favorite, I love Ren's singing in it. I think you'd also appreciate what went into making the video. 💜💜
Another great reaction. Looking forward to more Ren. There are some really great videos and songs of Rens to inspire real discussion and thought. I would suggest the troubles playlist at renmakesmusic. The chapters will give real insight to ren and his situation and the troubles song at the end wraps it all up very nicely. It will give you some great insight as you do future Ren reactions and I am certain the RENEGADES are here for it! Looking forward to heading down the Ren rabbit hole with you! 🤘
I think you're thinking of the Lumineers "Home is wherever I'm with you" at the one part. I didn't hear it in their song, but that's what i heard in your singing of what's in your head.
Also, he has kind of a "murder" theme running through his songs. Check out: "Murderer" the official video, really good stuff. Also, Prof and Ren are both unsigned artists for different reasons. And, both multi-talented. If you want to know more about Prof's serious side, he has a few tracks that are really good such as "Louisiana". One more thing, don't forget to enjoy the music whatever you react to. I'm liking and subscribing, like your approach brother. Happy hunting!
It doesn‘t have to be a FIRST reaction, if it‘s a video with your analysis and your thoughts on the music and videography that would be interesting too ✌
I'm fine with just sticking a title of "Reaction/Review" if you've come across something that caught your attention & which strikes you as worth digging into, & I reckon most folk are fine with that tbh. To my mind, anyone bitching about not getting a first time reaction to something when you've labelled a review as such in the title is an imbecile, & best ignored. ;) "Hi Ren" is surely one of those special pieces which is worth a "Reaction/Review" vid imho.... but do whatever you feel comfortable with. All the best from subscriber964 in sunny Scotland! :)
Thank you for the encouraging words. You’ll be happy to hear I have recorded a breakdown of “Hi Ren”. Because I have seen it before I had a lot to say so it runs a little long.
@@MykGryff Perfect! "Hi Ren" and others such as the "Money Game" series *deserve* to have time spent on them. The RENegades appreciate anyone with some musical understanding digging-in to these. ;) Given how crazy-impressive his one-take live capture set-pieces are, is it weird that the Ren material I enjoy most is the loose-&-having-fun-with-it busking vids, whether solo, with Sam Tompkins, with Chinchilla, or as part of The Big Push?! o_O Maybe it's just deep in my mind that the lad spent most of his twenties massively ill / bedridden, so I like to see him having fun. I know it's going back a little, but definitely check out The Big Push doing "Wade in the Water" etc sometime: ua-cam.com/video/DbL7Frf6nJI/v-deo.html ;)
@@MykGryff Harry Mack is jaw-dropping. My favourite thing I've seen from him remains the stream he did with the delightfully crazy Marc Rebillet - Marc improvising music from scratch for Harry to flow over works a *treat* imho. Here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/ggLpFa6CQyU/v-deo.html For me, the whole 1hr50 stream is worth a watch-thru, to see how Marc builds music & whatnot, but he's cut out & uploaded a couple of tracks from the session if you want to make a functional reaction vid to one of those. ;)

@TheAxeification prof has been through it. Check out his song, Myself. It's a true story about him.
@@Cattakeover Makes even more sense then. I definitely need to check out more of his stuff.
So, could be soul music.
That's how I interpret it as well. Ren uses a similar reference in Halftime.
Love love love this collab, they are a good match! Prof killed it with the beat 🤩 subbing for more Ren
Subed for much more Ren!
You got it! Be you, listen to what you enjoy, be honest with your feelings, and we will be here. Bless your life❤
They both did great and are both deep at times
I honestly loved both their parts
Love them both ❤❤❤

Yes, it's my favourite too. I enjoyed the live performance at Brighton, the Big Push final concert.

I’m quite new to Proff and loving this collab. Subbed for more Ren and ProffYou can take me on my Prof journey because I love your voice.
I think you're thinking of the Lumineers "Home is wherever I'm with you" at the one part.
I didn't hear it in their song, but that's what i heard in your singing of what's in your head.
React to Ren you have not heard. There is some awesome stuff you may not have heard. Try Crutch. Subbed for you sir.
❤❤❤
Re-react to Ren ❤
We’re here for it!
Get the subs up! Much love to you 🫶🏽
LESSS GOOO
I think they are pointing out the absurdity of the game.
Ya you nailed it about big farma peace
I cant remember the reactor but he said the melody is Its like floating in the waves
I think it was @TruthNoLie_

I think you’re thinking of the “Alabama Arkansas, I do love my ma and pa” song
Called “Home”
I think he's talking about his soul in his music
Trying to sell my soul = trying to sell your real self (maybe)
Subbed
In high Ren Ren says the devil lives in every decision that Causes Chaos and division
I believe Prof wrote the music/ beat.
Finding your passion again, you said? Ren would understand. Listen to Ren's song Power; Troubles would be a good choice, too.
It doesn‘t have to be a FIRST reaction, if it‘s a video with your analysis and your thoughts on the music and videography that would be interesting too ✌
