    Good information sir. I just bought a Philips 4300 to replace my Saeco Exprellia which is now being repaired. I have had a super automatic for almost 20 years now and cant live with out one. I would like to recommend a shop where i have been buying coffee beans and repairs done over the years. Cerini Coffee & Gifts in the Bronx NY has been awesome and not pricey for both repairs and coffee supplies. They are a Philips/Saeco authorized repair center. The owner Johnny will answer the call at times and help with any questions. And remember... stick to the non oily beans to not gum up the grinder.

    Hi there, I just wanted compliment you - I've just got the 5400 and am really struggling to find videos on how to fine-tune the making process to get the best cups of coffee, especially for a larger cup size. Your tips are great, I'll definitely try them!

    Hi again, I checked the data for my model (5500), and it's 15 bar and has a plastic brewgroup. That is good enough, isn't it?
    I just bought the machine and I am learning about coffee so subbed and liked, keep it up!
    Best regards from a Coffe drinking Top10-country - Sweden 😁

    Good video. For me tho, cleaning a machine isn't a con. regarding the plastic, surely it depends on the type of plastic. A solid brew group of proper quality plastic is preferred above a second-rate metal one so for me, plastic vs metal isn't a given.

    What are your grind settings? And what coffee beans you like to use? Thx

      Lavazza Super Crema (I put a link to it in the description) and max fine grind is what I found works best for this bean.

    Did the machine on the left side spray a mist outside the machine while getting water hot etc? Thanks.

      Are you talking about the LatteGo container?

    Does it make bigger cups like 12 or 16 oz?

    • @TonysTipBits
      @TonysTipBits  2 місяці тому

      Not really you can probably squeeze 10 oz with the coffee setting. You can do multiple brews to get your volume.

    Thanks for the tips.. Just got a 5400 actually today and was experimenting.. You say super fine on ur grinder.. So that means you have it on 1? Thanks for the link to the glasses..

      Yes, for the beans that I'm using the super fine which is the lowest level is what I have mine set to. It really depends on the bean and how you prefer it. And also certain grind levels work better with different beans. So you'll have to play with it for some time. Remember when you're changing the different grind settings to do it as it is grinding the beans. Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment.

      @@TonysTipBits thanks..I will be using Starbucks blonde expresso to make my flat whites.. Also question on the cups..the smaller ones are tue 5.4 oz ones? That seems small tje drink you made. I see the larger ones are almost 12 0z.. Thanks again

      Watch out because sometimes those Starbucks beans can be a little oily. So check that out, but if you keep your machine well maintained it should be okay. Recommendation are for beans that are less oily. The smaller cups that I have are typically for when I'm making an espresso or double shot of espresso. I do have another set of cups that I use when I'm using the lattego frother that holds about 10 oz.

      @@TonysTipBits ah ok 10oz. Yeah the blonde roast are not shiny and don't leave any residue on your hands if you rub them between your hands.. That's the tests I read in another UA-cam video..

      I'm good at maintaining things so I just need to finds what you lube.. It's only me also so it won't get a lot of use like a family... I will still buy my first flat white of the day at Starbucks.. Just not 2 any more..😊

    You can set it to do 2 shots.

    • @TonysTipBits
      @TonysTipBits  3 місяці тому +2

      Yes for the espresso option you can do two. But for the 4300 you can't add an additional shot of espresso with your drink option. Only the 5400 can do that.
