My late brother's boss had one of these. A proper motor engineer. I remember him building up the cams with weld and re-profiling them with a hand file. There wasn't much he couldn't do.

This is a 69 2000. Std, not Alpina though. The Alpina came with twin Solex carbs, (we had an A1 Alpina engine in 1 of our E12's) and an A2 in our 2002 Ti. These were manufactured in Munich and Indonesia, this looks like Indonesian model due to headlights. The German headlights and front were twin in single casing for US export. Few of these were imported to SA
