I just wanted to share some of the admin that goes behind making the move to London.
Some costs include

Europe like East Asia has a declining population and Sub Saharan Africa has an increasing population, so it shouldn't be a surprise that demographically Europe/Britain will change and more Africans will choose to move to Europe. But I suppose that's just globalization, we are one global community now, where people of all nations are scattered throughout the world. 🤷 But if you are from Africa and want employment in the UK, the public sector like the NHS are desperate for nurses, thousands of African women already work in the NHS, and also Schools are short of teachers. But in the private sector tech is booming, so computer science is a good degree to have. I live in Leeds and there's lots of African migrants that have done really well here, they are probably the most economically productive migrants, many buy houses within a few years and drive flashy cars, though Leeds is a wealthy city (Englands second financial city) that's growing at a massive rate. The African people that settled here are mostly Christian families that tend to be very nice and polite and don't have many problems integrating. Also many UK universities offer scholarships for African students and some even have paid placements with industry, plus students have a year to find a career which is plenty of time if you studied a degree that's in demand. This African woman that turned a 5K business into a 3M business is one example of how productive African migrants have been here.

I will be applying for my liberty pension fund claim, which bank can I use to have the claim money paid into and access it that side? TIA

I’d suggest looking at jobs in London and then looking at what skills they require. That will help you see what you need to get there.

Hey! So I unfortunately don’t know how much the salary would be if you’re doing articles but you might just have to share an apartment because of how expensive the rent is here. The actual living expenses isn’t that bad. If you could find out that salary that could inform your decision. You have equal opportunities whether you decide to start from articles or post articles it’s all about where you want to ‘be’ essentially. Good luck!

Hi , please explain the permanent residence card. Does it mean you get same benefits as UK citizens, what exactly are the benefits ?2. Did you apply directly to these firms or used agents like GAP Placements and Blue Recruitments. 3. Did you already have a UK bank account , if one wants to go money wise when you start off will the company give you a bank account or you need cash till you sort yourself out?
Hi yes it basically just gives you access to live here and travel on and out freely and get NHI. I used Gap Talent. I only got a UK bank account just before I arrived. You have to sort out the bank account yourself.

I chose revolut. They just needed a UK phone number. Some go for monzo. They’re basically the same. And free to open. All the best
