You are right about Dimash being a singer with no weaknesses as Nathan Wong recently said. Every register and genre are his forte. There’s no one like him. 🥰

Dimash is a thoughtful partner in any musical production--he sings as the song demands, not for his own ego. He never tries to outshine the others.
I have seen Dimash stand with one foot in front of the other, generally in the very strongest part of the song. I get the sense he is drawing his music from the very core of his body, especially in those parts. And I love to watch his hand movement--he conducts himself as he sings.

This is a dream come true for Dimash. He shared that, at the age of 5, he had a VHS of a concert by Maestro Domingo. He dreamed from then to now to meet and work with the Maestro. This was part of a program called Virtuosos, which supports young classical artists. Dimash was invited to be a judge on the program by Maestro Domingo. I know he appreciated the opportunity to support young artists. We are all do proud of him and hope all his dreams come true. Dimash learned this in one day and had only one rehearsal.

Thank you for the lovely reaction. For those who may not be familiar with Dimash, I just wanted to clarify that answering "yes" to the question of how many octaves Dimash has was a joke made by the commenter. Dimash would never say that because it sounds boastful and Dimash is anything but boastful. He has said that he doesn't want people to focus on how many octaves he has or how hard he works, he just wants the audience to enjoy his performances.

👉 The world stands still for this moment and everyone holds their breath. A singing teacher calls them the two musical titans...yes, yes, yes! This duet was Dimash's dream and it is coming true. What an honor for our beloved Dimash and a great joy for Maestro Domingo…. And I was bathed in tears of joy. I'm sooo happy.
Dimash was asked to participate as a judge in the competition for young classical musicians... and then... he gave us dear ones this wonderful jewel.
Maestro Domingo invited Dimash to sing the duet with him the day before. Dimash only had a short night to learn this song in French... and besides, Dimash had a cold with a cough. (You notice it more clearly in the second song at the end of the concert.)
Dimash would never act recklessly towards his duet partners. With good manners and respect, he would never drown out Maestro Domingo (then still 82) with his voice. He even adapts to Maestro Domingo's vocal color.
Dimash opens a new world to many Dears... the world of classical music. You should definitely watch the video (look at the end of the comment)... so many young, talented musicians and the sensitive assessment of the jurors... Great!!! ... and the legendary duet of Maestro Domingo and Dimash Qudaibergen!
    * Plácido Domingo (*1941 Madrid/Spain) is already a legend today. He is a world-renowned, versatile artist and is considered one of the best and most influential singers in opera history, with more than 150 roles and over 4,000 performances celebrated by audiences on stages around the world. He sings tenor and baritone and was one of the three tenors with Carreras and Pavarotti in the 90s. Maestro Domingo is also a conductor and promoter of young talent, winner of 12 Grammy Awards and recipient of honorary degrees and awards for his humanitarian work. (www)
    * Description under the video: Georges Bizet: Les pêcheurs de perles/ The Pearl Fishers (1863)
Zurga and Nadir's duet: Au fond du Temple Saint/ In the Depths of the Holy Temple
    Orchestra: Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra
    Conductor: Tibor Bogányi
Performed by Plácido Domingo and Dimash Qudaibergen at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest on 10 December 2023 Premiered 19 January 2024 on Virtuosos...
Exceptional duet of Maestro Plácido Domingo and Dimash Qudaibergen as guest performers at the international finals of Virtuosos V4+.

I would have also liked to see the scene of the conductor giving a kiss to his wife as concertmaster. You have given such an incredibly beautiful and humble reaction to this duet piece. I love especially your observation, putting it so lovingly - "passing the torch" - handing over as it were from one generation to the next. That is so very touching, I could for the way expressed yourself, "passing" your own knowledge and expertise...reflecting on Placido and Dimash's posture, hand gestures, complementing each every step of the way. Rightly said, it's in a sense a skill. You have in this single video reaction, gained my respect. Looking forward to listening to more of your reactions. ❤

Being 84 and having lived a life of collecting beauty, I never expected to find anything like the musician and instrument that are Dimash. There are so many lessons in there but mainly, that no matter how much beauty you’ve experienced, there is always more that youve not known that is beyond the imagination. There are no limits. I’m so grateful to be alive at the same time as Dimash.
Would Western singers be jealous of Dimash's voice and talent?
To answer your question. Yes. Dimash is one of the greatest singers of all time even though he's still in his prime. All these Western Vocalists, let me put it lightly, THEY STRAIN, Dimash is a master of technique, a Male Minnie Riperton. He has revived combing operatta with modern music, Dimash has a unique tone that I quite like, it is like Whitney Houston ;soft yet obtrusive, even though, unlike Whitney, he's of the lighter voca, fach he can still make his voice as booming and emotive as a dramatic soprano. In my opinion here's how it is. From a rich and sexy strohbass, to a lyrical tenor, to whistle piercing coloratura soprano notes. He's my male vocal icon. But for all those people who don't like him, he doesn't care, he loves singing, even if it's just for his country, but I used to be jealous too until I came to appreciate his voice.
And also Dimash is wise and patient, it took him years to achieve the voice he has now, I have never heard a hint of strain in his voice.
Is Dimash the best singer alive?
The answer to this is very subjective. When you ask who the “best” singer is, what are you asking?
    the most skilled?
    the widest range?
    the best sounding?
Dimash Kudaibergen is a highly skilled vocalist with his voice spanning about 6 octaves, he has great versatility in his singing ranging from traditional, pop, opera, ballads, etc.
But the real answer is up to you!
    He is truly amazing!

They had only part of one day to rehearse this song. What you will see is that Dimash will always show the greatest respect to the other singer. He will often match vibratos and sing to bring out the beauty of the other singer. Plácido was so happy to meet Dimash and Dimash felt that he was so honored to sing with such a magnificent singer. Dimash will never try to outperform a master or anyone he sings with. When you watch Dimash sing with Lara Fabien and Aida Garifullina with the famous Igor Kritoy (sp?), you will see how Dimash matches his vibrato with both women, Igor has such a wide smile. He seems to be in pure heaven. Both women sing differently but he matches their vibratos, it’s pure heaven!

He loves doing these moments. I think he has brought many naysayers of Opera, over to that side where they have come to love it. Did you know he loves Rock, as well? And he raps (in the Kazak language). Have fun discovering all of his facts. Kathy from K. C.,

This performance was historic. Placido invited Dimash to be a jury member for Virtuoso, a competition for young classical musicians, held this past December 2023, in Budapest, Hungary 🇭🇺. This was a showcase part of the show. They only had a day or so to rehearse and Dimash had a bit of a cold. Dimash always had so much respect to his duet partners, no matter who you are. He would never try to out sing anyone. He adjusted his voice to match his singing partner. Here, The harmony was perfect. Yes, Dimash can sing anything and EVERYTHING. Whenever people ask him what is his range or what is his highest or lowest note, he would politely keep people guessing and only said that he sings what the song requires. Highest or lowest, he kept that secret. He also had always maintained that range wasn’t the most important. Most important was that he sings with his heart and his feelings. Being able to project his emotions through his singing is a gift. That intangible ability is not something you can teach. When I discovered him just over a year ago. His voice and the emotional delivery reached into my heart and soul and touched within me deep down. His voice comforted me and brought joy back to my life. I have been listening to him every single day. I SIMPLY MUST. I have a NEED to hear his pure, angelic, crystal clear and powerful voice who can whisper into your ear like he is only singing to you sitting next to you, to powerful full force of his masculine projection that punches through the entire arena. I get goosebumps and chills every time. No other artist had ever given me that effect. Dimash is very special. 😊

You have a very professional and eloquent way of explaining what the processes are and what is going on with the performances👍 Love that you pointed out how it felt like there was a "passing of the torch" moment. It seems prudent and fitting especially from such an icon as Maestro Placido Domingo to the next generation such as Dimash. Not only does Dimash have the skill set, but he also has the international charisma and appeal to help bridge a more modern form of "classically-blended" style of music of which Dimash himself calls "Neoclassical". What a fine contribution to the music world as Dimash takes on this endeavor to shine a spotlight on the classical form to which ALL styles of music has built its foundational roots from. Your musical background also keenly pointed out how respectful Dimash is in keeping the temperament of his vocal abilities to compliment the Maestro P.D. in order to serve the song. This is very true to Dimash' character especially in all his collaborations. As we all know, he can surpass and outshine any performer in his in his presence, instead, Dimash will always humble himself. Thank you for your joyful & insightful analysis👍👏. Lookin forward to your next Dimash reaction👍🎶🎼🎧🎵‼️

    Great reaction! And, yes! 😂
Dimash has been brilliant in his strategy throughout his education, in that he "cross-trained" for several musical genres, by having the classical/opera foundation and combined it with additional studies in contemporary, theater and jazz! Which converts to the "yes". 😂♥️🎶♥️🎶

Happy I found your channel or, should I say, I stumbled across your channel. Working from your oldest posts cuz I enjoy watching your methods growing post to post. Your enthusiasm is infectious; not covid infectious but the way you present yourself; I see you; meaning your professionalism and comments are very well thought out; hard to do live but you accomplish it none the less. Dimash is a once in a generation artist. Looking forward to watching and listening to your future vids. Kindest Regards.....T

My niece told me that she was out driving together with a friend, which is an opera singer. And her friend was singing a pop song along with the radio and she said it was horrible to listen to 😅 She is good as an opera singer but not a pop singer😊

@@gooblereactsAh, ok, thanks. As a suggestion for the next videos, in my opinion, your video should be the bigger image, as it’s your reaction, and the artist's video should be smaller, and, most of the time, with some kind of edition on it for both copyright issues and also to motivate those who never watched the original video to click on the link to the artist’s original video. Thanks for your reply! 💕

Ah. A very unexpected reaction to my favorite duet in opera. I grew up in a house where my parents were big fans of opera. They had season tickets at the LA Opera for decades and once in a while I would go to see one if there was one in particular that I really wanted to see. But I never got to see the pearl fishers there. I did see it in Orange County long time ago. Thank you for showing this beautiful performance.

Hi There, it was lovely to watch you listen to those two amazing people. Do you have any songs or opera arias that you sang and have recorded with film and/or by you? I was brought up with Opera thanks to my mother who loved Maria Callas. I'd love to hear your voice one day. Just wondering. Thanks again and take care of yourself.

The only style of music I'm not certain he could do (at least, not yet), would be the heavy metal screaming/screamo kind of singing. Otherwise, he could probably adapt to everything you throw at him.
This duet was lovely and seeing a professional enjoy it was a treat

    • @sarahwottrich2834

Actually, he has done a small bit of metal screams in a few of his songs. The only thing I can think of that I haven’t heard from him yet is country. 😊

Yes, agree with Sarah (below) Dimash is doing screams like at the end of Story of One Sky, also a little in the new video of Omir I think, but perhaps thats more growling.

@@mmsminimalmusic3110I wouldn't call any type of art ugly, that's just devaluing the whole thing. Just because you don't enjoy it doesn't mean it isn't beautiful to someone else.
